Abstract

Natural orchid has not yet undergone crossbreeding that is still living naturally in attached forest habitats with humidity, light intensity, and soil conditions suitable for orchid growing needs. The purpose of this research was to see all types of orchids (Orchidaceae) and orchid habitat (Orchidaceae) in Imbo Putui Banned Indigenous Forest, Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The research was conducted in Imbo Putui Banned Indigenous Forest, Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This study used a purposive sampling technique using an exploration method system based on canopy density. The research location's total area is 6 Ha with three lines so that the line of observation has an area of 1000 m with a width of 20 m (10 m left and 10 m right). The results showed that in Imbo Putui Banned Indigenous Forest, and there were five types of orchids from 4 orchid genera, namely Merpati Orchid (Dendrobium crumenatum), Bamboo Orchid (Bromheadia finlaysoniana), Board Orchid (Cymbidium dayanum), Vanilla (Vanilla tahitiensis), and Vanilla sp. The species diversity index (H ') of orchids in Imbo Putui Banned Indigenous Forest is low with a species diversity value of 1.55, and habitat characteristics are tropical orchids with four types of epiphytes, 1 type of terrestrial orchid and inceptisol soil type, low rainfall, sunlight intensity of 554,49 lux, the temperature of 30,3 oC and humidity of 66%. Keywords : Banned indegoeus forest, habitat, orchid

Abstract

Wildlife is one of the biodiversity in Indonesia which is partially disturbed by its existence and habitat by human activity which continues to increase every year. Conflict between humans and wildlife occurs as a result of a number of negative interaction both direct and indirect between humans and wildlife. The purpose of this study was to determine the form and types of wilflife disturbance and the factors that cause wildlife conflicts that often enter the community agricultural land around the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve. This research was contucted on March 2020. The object if this research is the people who have agricultural land around the Bukit Rimbang Bukit Baling Wildlife Reserve. Based on the results of research on the forms and types of wildlife disturbance to community agricultural land, namely destroying crops, destroying community huts, attacking community, destroying land and destroying root. The cause of wildlife conflicts that often enter community agricultural lands are habitat destruction due to encroachment, increasing population and animal preferences for plant species. Keywords :Wildlife Disturbance, Community agriculturalland, SMBRBB     Keywords :Wildlife Disturbance, Community agriculturalland, SMBRBB

Abstract

The sumatran elephant is rare animals wich spreadin almost all parts of sumatera island. The conflict between people with the sumatran elephants often occurred in the forest area alongside people settlement. The large amount of sumatran elephants population in Tesso Nilo National Park highly dependent on the carrying capacity of the habitat and the available feed. This research aims to know populationof sumatran elephants and carrying capacity of feedthe sumatran elephantin the area of Tesso Nilo National Park Province of Riau. The studywas usedthe method purposive sampling by determined the position of elephant on the track, determinationof sample plot offeed location the sumatran elephants and carrying capacity collected of feed the sumatran elephant. Data obtained areComposition Vegetation (species density, species frequency, species dominance), IndexValue Important (IVI), Species Diversity, Biomass Feed, CarryingCapacity of Feed and Carrying Capacity of habitat. The result of interviews with the mahout in the village Lubuk Kembang Bunga, there are 2 groups the sumatran elephants with the total as many 38 tail. The results of the research showed that the availability of feed in 1 Hectare areasin a Tesso Nilo National Park were not sufficient to 1 tail sumatran elephants. The carrying capacity of habitat sumatran elephant wich exists at Tesso Nilo National Park regional with broad area 1331.19 Hectare can not accommodate for sumatran elephants. Keywords: elephant, location, population, feed.

Abstract

Elephas maximus sumateranus are a type of animal whose food is mostly found in forest are as.      Elephas maximus sumateranus consume various types of plants and are needed in large quantities. PT. Rimba Peranap Indah have a protected area that has an ecological role for the flora and fauna in this area, including a habitat for elephant. This study aims to determine the type and availability of elephant feed in the concession area in the PT. Rimba Peranap Indah. The method used in this        research is direct and indirect survey methods. Sampling was carried out using path transects with the purposive sampling method. The result showed that the type of elephant feed in the concession area of PT. Rimba Peranap Indah were found as many as 42 species from 12 families, the dominant family found is the family Myrtaceae. The availability of food for elephant in the concession area of          PT. Rimba Peranap Indah are not sufficient. The area of the conservation area can only be sufficient for ± 20 elephants out of 40 elephants crossing the concession area of PT. Abstract

Trigona spp. is include into stingless bee honey. Trigona spp. has another names, such as, galo-galo (Sumatera), klanceng, lenceng (Jawa), andteuweul (Sunda). The population of Trigona spp. in many areas in indonesia. Trigona spp. produce are honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis and beeswax. People do not know much yet about the benefit and how to cultivation of Trigona spp. type, material and size of bee’s nest. The purpose of this research is to know successfull affectiveness movement of Trigona spp. in type, material and size of artificial nest. This research used two method, survey and experiment. The first survey got 19 bee’s nest of Trigona spp. in 7 trees. In the next experiment, the resercher tried to test 6 artificial nests (2 bee’s nest made by half of a coconut shell, 2 bee’s nest made by bamboo and 2 bee’s nest made by wooden box) and the different size of box. The experiment of 6 artificial nests was a theory of eduction/attachment. The artificial nest affixed to red chelate tree (Syzygium sp.), kempas (Koompassia malaccensis), jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) and red chelate tree was moudly/dead. The result of this research show that type of Trigona spp. that lifeatThe Prohibition Forest of Indigenous Village of Rumbio Kampar Regency. There are three kinds : Trigona collina, Trigona incica andTrigona terminata. The preferred and ideal artificial nest of Trigona spp. was wooden box 3 segment in Ttot = 65 cm, basic segment T1 =30 cm, middle segment T2 =25 cm andtop segment T3 = 10 cm.Key words:Trigona spp., The Prohibition Indigenous Forest, artificial nests

Abstract

The Forest Reserve of  Kenegerian Rumbio has potential as producing trees of forest fruit. Research on the identification of the type and characteristics of the fruit-producing trees in surrounding the Forest Reserve of  Kenegerian Rumbio has not been done, so the data and clearer information of the fruit-producing trees has not been available. This study aims to determine the type and characteristics of the fruit-producing trees in Panoghan zone and Sialang Layang zone of the Forest Reserve of  Kenegerian Rumbio. This research was conducted by using the method of track / transect with a width of 20 meters and a length of 500 meters. The transect position in the field was determined by using Purposive Sampling technique. Based on observations from both transects, 15 species of fruit-producing trees with the number of individuals 58 fruit-producing trees were found , which each transect has different individual number. Results of tree species diversity index of fruit-producing trees in Panoghan zone is 1.96 and Sialang Layang Zone is 2.3, which means included in the medium category. Keywords: Identification of Species,Fruit- Producing Trees, Species Diversity Index, Forest Reserve of  Kenegerian Rumbio
