The determination of the regional daily range in overlay using software arcgis 10.1. Daily activity were analysed by counting average time daily activity and percentage number of daily activity fauna. Home range Macaca nemestrina were analysed using kernel density estimation (KDE) located on program Geospatial Modelling Environment (GME) and ArcGis 10.1. Home range outermost Macaca nemestrina were analysed by the method of Minimum Convex Polygon (MCP). The result showed that Macaca nemestrina in the area of Riau University forest having broad areas of 176.553 m². Maps of the home range  Macaca nemestrina having range regions core level very high density area of 7.916 m², high area of 11.344 m², mid 41.468 m², low area of 83.28 m² and level of density is very 32.542 m². The activity of Macaca nemestrina is eat, break, migrates, grooming and social interaction. The highest activity is break activity 36,68%, the lowest activity is grooming 4,10%. Abstract

Forests are natural resources that can absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) in the process of photosynthesis, and convert it into carbohydrates and store them into biomass. Prohibition of indigenous Rumbio forest areas is one area of forests managed by communities’ customary law, which is the existence of indigenous forest to gain recognition by the State which has the right to control all resources. In order, it needs to know how big the potential of carbon. The study aims to determine the potential of biomass and carbon on the ground in Indigenous of Rumbio Forest. Mechanical determination of the plot and data is done by Stratified Random Sampling, which is the method of taking the sample based on strata (levels). The potential of biomass on the ground biomass is done by summing the litter, nursery, lowers plants, saplings, poles and trees that use formula algometric. Biomass litter and plant seedlings under estimated by using the Indonesian National Standard. Carbon stored value is 0.47 of biomass. The results showed that the carbon potential in the area ofIndigenous of Forests  Rumbio forest is 31922.21 ton / ha.  Keywords: forest, forest customary prohibition, biomassa, carbon

Abstract

Orangutan is an endangered species. One of the efforts to prevent the extinction of the orangutan is the ex-situ’s conservation for example zoo. The purpose of this research to determine the daily behavior and the duration of activity of orangutan in habitat at ex-situ in Kasang Kulim’s Zoo and to know the difference of frequency daily activities of orangutan by age class. The research was conducted in the month of August-September 2014. The objects of this research are five orangutan. The research method was descriptive statistics. The type of this research is observation. Based on the research results, the daily behavior of orangutan at Zoo Kasang Kulim consists of: the behavior of eating, the behavior of moving, the behavior of resting, the behavior of social, the behavior of the play itself, and other behaviors (grooming and shitting). Total of activity time orangutans obtained during 25 days of observation is 14 876 minutes. The highest behavior shown in the behavior of the resting (10 216 minutes or 69% of total daily activity orangutan). The frequency of daily behavior based on age class with a long observation period of 10 hours every day. The frequency of the behavior of resting at age class of adults and adolescents the highest frequency are 67 times / day and 71 times / day, while the frequency of the behavior of moving at baby age class the highest frequency that is 116 times / day. The technique of sampling is systematic sampling with random start. The result of the research showed the level of diversity at Parak Cocoa is 3.05 by the number of sampel about 1556 and total number is 52 species, if it vigure out per level, trees, saplings, seedlings and understorey it has the number of level at the middle, than low level for the pole. Parak Cocoa used random pattern and durian also avocado becomes the share for cocoa, cocoa found 77 numbers. Parak corn has the level of diversity at the middle, 2.48. The highest number at the seedling and understorey is 2.37, it is also mid level. then at the level of trees and poles classified as middle, and at the level of saplings classified as low. The pattern used is fence pattern, the plants for the fence are coconut, cacao and avocado. The number of plants at Parak Jagung is 1367 and the highest number is corn about 450. The both of Parak combined agrosilvopastura by the discovery of fish pool at the Parak cocoa, and also goat and cow at the Parak corn. Keyword: Diversity, Agroforestry, Parak, Vegetation Analysis
