Abstract

The manual archiving process within the Gresik Education Office continues to encounter significant challenges, including difficulties in correspondence tracking, document misplacement, and inefficiencies in disposition management. To address these issues, this study proposes the design and implementation of a Web-Based Archiving and Correspondence Monitoring System developed using the Waterfall methodology. The system aims to facilitate the digital transformation of administrative correspondence through three primary pillars: secure user authentication, flexible digital workflows, and compliance with electronic archival standards. Core features include centralized document management, automated disposition processes, electronic signature verification, and real-time notification integration via WhatsApp. Implementation results demonstrate that the proposed system enhances efficiency, traceability, and accountability in correspondence management at the Gresik Education Office.

Abstract

Classification of fruit ripeness has become an important topic in agriculture, as this process often requires considerable time and effort. This study aims to develop an automatic classification system that can identify the ripeness level of lime (unripe, half-ripe, ripe) based on RGB and HSV color features using the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm. A total of 83 datasets were collected using a Poco M3 Pro 5G camera, followed by preprocessing, feature extraction, and classification with the KNN algorithm. Using 16 test data in classification, the highest accuracy achieved was 75% with k=5. The implementation of this method demonstrates that KNN is quite effective in classifying color features.

Abstract

The trend of modern beverages has grown significantly in recent years, in line with changes in people's lifestyles. However, despite their popularity, café business owners often face challenges due to fluctuating sales every month. This condition directly affects inventory management and daily production planning. To address this issue, accurate sales forecasting is needed. This study aims to forecast the sales of Kayyoman Macchiato using the Weighted Moving Average (WMA) method with a weight ratio of 1:1:5. The data used consists of monthly sales records from January 2020 to April 2025. After the forecasting process, the results were analyzed using three indicators: MAD, MSE, and MAPE. The findings show a MAD of 31.78, MSE of 1,496.13, and MAPE of 16.14%. These results indicate that the prediction accuracy falls into the "good" category. Therefore, the WMA method is considered suitable as a reference for managing inventory and planning production strategies in cafés.

Abstract

This study uses a time series forecasting method, namely applying the Exponential Smoothing and Weighted Moving Average methods to predict the number of Catering orders in the following month at the SERING shop. The data used in this study were obtained from historical records of orders for 29 months and grouped into three service categories: Package 1, Package 2, and Package 3. The forecasting process is carried out by applying various parameter values, namely α = 0.1, 0.5, and 0.9 for the Exponential Smoothing method, and weights of 1, 2, and 3 for the Weighted Moving Average method with 3 data periods. To evaluate the accuracy of each method, three error measures are used: Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results of the analysis show that the Exponential Smoothing method with α = 0.9 consistently produces the smallest error value compared to other methods. Thus, this method is considered the most optimal and can be used as a basis for planning raw material procurement and making operational decisions in the future.

Abstract

Abstrak - Perencanaan dan pengelolaan kegiatan (event) di lingkungan pendidikan maupun organisasi sering kali menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama ketika dilakukan secara manual. Permasalahan yang muncul meliputi kurangnya transparansi dalam koordinasi panitia, sering terjadinya benturan jadwal antar kegiatan, kesulitan dalam dokumentasi, serta miskomunikasi antar anggota tim. Kondisi ini menghambat efektivitas pelaksanaan program dan menurunkan kualitas manajemen kegiatan. Selain itu, kolaborasi dalam penyusunan dan pelaksanaan event masih sulit dilakukan karena belum adanya sistem yang mampu menghubungkan individu berdasarkan peran dan kompetensinya secara terintegrasi. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Kolaborasi Event Berbasis Web yang ditujukan untuk mengelola event sekolah menggunakan pendekatan Waterfall. Sistem ini dirancang untuk menggabungkan seluruh proses kegiatan secara digital, mulai dari pengajuan acara, persetujuan kegiatan, publikasi acara, hingga pendaftaran peserta secara online. Setiap pengguna memiliki peran yang berbeda—Administrator, Kepala Sekolah, Guru Pembina, Panitia Osis, dan Siswa yang diatur melalui sistem hak akses berbasis peran (role-based access). Selain itu, fitur profil dan kompetensi pengguna dikembangkan untuk mempermudah pembentukan tim kolaboratif berdasarkan keahlian yang relevan, sementara fitur pencetakan ID Card otomatis dalam format digital (PDF) memfasilitasi administrasi acara dengan lebih cepat dan profesional. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan akurasi dalam pengelolaan kegiatan. Seluruh fitur berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan fungsional, dan pengguna dapat mengakses serta mengelola data secara real-time melalui antarmuka yang sederhana dan responsif. Dengan demikian, sistem ini terbukti efektif sebagai solusi digital dalam mendukung manajemen kolaborasi event di lingkungan pendidikan maupun organisasi secara terpusat, terstruktur, dan berkelanjutan.Kata kunci : Sistem Informasi; Manajemen Event; Kolaborasi; Waterfall; Web-Based System; Abstract - Event planning and management in educational institutions and organizations often encounter various challenges, particularly when conducted using manual processes. Common issues include a lack of transparency in committee coordination, frequent scheduling conflicts between activities, difficulties in documentation management, and miscommunication among team members. These conditions hinder the effectiveness of program implementation and reduce the overall quality of event management. Moreover, collaboration in event planning and execution remains challenging due to the absence of an integrated system capable of connecting individuals based on their roles and competencies. To address these issues, this study develops a Web-Based Collaborative Event Management Information System designed to manage school events using the Waterfall development approach. The system is designed to digitalize the entire event management process, ranging from event proposals and activity approvals to event publication and online participant registration. Each user is assigned a specific role—Administrator, Principal, Supervising Teacher, Student Committee (OSIS), and Students—managed through a role-based access control mechanism. In addition, user profile and competency features are implemented to facilitate the formation of collaborative teams based on relevant expertise. An automated digital ID card generation feature in PDF format is also integrated to accelerate and professionalize event administration processes. The implementation results indicate that the developed system significantly enhances efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in event management. All system functionalities operate in accordance with functional requirements, allowing users to access and manage data in real time through a simple and responsive interface. Therefore, this system is proven to be an effective digital solution for supporting centralized, structured, and sustainable collaborative event management in educational institutions and organizational environments.Keywords: Information System; Event Management; Collaboration; Waterfall; Web-Based System;

Abstract

Analysis of handwriting margins plays an important role in graphology, as margin patterns are often associated with individual behavioral tendencies and personality traits. Therefore, detecting and classifying margin characteristics is essential to support automated handwriting analysis using computational approaches. This study uses a computer vision-based approach to classify left-margin handwriting patterns into widening and narrowing categories. The classification is performed by analyzing margin characteristics extracted from scanned handwriting images. The processing pipeline consists of image preprocessing, hybrid feature extraction, and classification using an Ensemble Bagging Decision Tree model. The preprocessing stage enhances image quality through grayscale conversion, contrast adjustment, adaptive thresholding, and noise removal, followed by Region of Interest extraction to focus on the handwriting area. The feature extraction stage applies a hybrid strategy that combines line-based margin analysis and global spatial features to capture both local variations and overall structure. Model performance is evaluated using stratified 5-fold cross-validation to ensure reliable and unbiased results. The experimental findings show that the method achieves an average accuracy of 84.91%, with relatively balanced precision, recall, and F1-score across both classes. These results indicate that margin-based features are effective for representing handwriting patterns in classification tasks. However, variations in writing style and noise from the scanning process may influence performance. Overall, this study demonstrates that the applied approach provides reliable classification results and has potential for further improvement through feature expansion and more advanced learning models.

Abstract

Abstrak - Pelayanan publik merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai kualitas tata kelola pemerintahan, sehingga dibutuhkan instrumen evaluasi yang akurat dan mudah diakses. Penelitian ini merancang dan mengimplementasikan aplikasi Survei Kepuasan Masyarakat berbasis web untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengumpulan dan analisis data layanan publik. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan metode Waterfall, yang memungkinkan proses pembangunan berjalan sistematis sesuai kebutuhan fungsional. Aplikasi ini dilengkapi fitur formulir survei bertahap, akses melalui QR Code, pengolahan data otomatis, serta visualisasi grafik untuk analisis hasil survei secara real time. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu mengatasi kendala survei konvensional, seperti proses rekap yang lama dan risiko kehilangan data. Selain itu, aksesibilitas yang mudah meningkatkan partisipasi responden, sementara admin dapat memantau tren kepuasan dengan lebih efektif. Secara keseluruhan, aplikasi ini menjadi solusi modern dalam evaluasi layanan publik, mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, dan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan secara berkelanjutan. Kata kunci : survei kepuasan; layanan publik; sistem berbasis web; evaluasi digital; sistem informasi; Abstract - Public services are an essential indicator of governance quality, and the increasing demands of citizens for fast, transparent, and accountable services require instruments that can assess service performance accurately. This study presents the design and implementation of a web-based Public Satisfaction Survey System aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of data collection and evaluation processes in public service institutions. The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, enabling structured development stages and ensuring that functional requirements were thoroughly addressed. The application integrates several key features, including multi-step survey forms, QR Code access, automated data processing, and graphical visualization to support real-time analysis of survey results. The findings of this study reveal that the developed system successfully overcomes the limitations of conventional surveys, such as data redundancy, lengthy processing time, and potential data loss. Additionally, respondents can easily access the survey across multiple devices, increasing participation rates. Administrators benefit from analytical tools that allow them to monitor satisfaction trends efficiently, which supports decision-making and continuous service improvement. Overall, the web-based survey application proves to be an effective and modern solution for evaluating public services, aligning with the principles of digital transformation in government institutions. The system contributes to transparent, data-driven governance, and improved service quality measurement.
