Abstract

Food holds significance beyond mere sustenance for certain communities; it encompasses beliefs, spirituality, and social bonds. The indigenous inhabitants of Cireundeu, a village steeped in tradition, uphold their distinctive culinary culture centered around cassava, a practice deeply intertwined with their beliefs. This study employs a literature review method, employing a bibliometric approach using PoP (Publish or Perish) for article retrieval and VoSviewer for analysis. The bibliometric analysis revealed that the article authored by Jabbaril titled "Resilience of the Cireundeu Indigenous Village Community in Anthropology," published in the Ethnika Budaya Journal, garnered the highest number of citations, totaling 7. The cassava-centric dietary culture is believed to enhance resilience and contribute to environmental conservation, as evidenced by the village's division into three distinct forest zones. The ancestral wisdom of safeguarding nature must be heeded by contemporary society to ensure ecological sustainability.

Abstract

The Dayak Meratus community is a community that is in harmony with nature because nature has provided a livelihood for them. One of the things that can be learned from the Dayak Meratus community is farming based on manugal local wisdom to preserve the environment, especially agriculture. The purpose of writing this review article is to review and describe the efforts to preserve agriculture by the Dayak Meratus community based on manugal local wisdom. The method used in writing this review article is library research, namely by collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various related literature. The results of the literature study state that the local wisdom of manugal is a farming process by making a hole using wood that is stuck into the ground, then filled with 5-7 rice seeds. The local wisdom of manugal is not just an ordinary farming tradition, but a tradition that contains socio-cultural values, the value of patience, and spiritual values between nature, culture and God. Thus, this local wisdom of manugal is expected to be a role model for utilizing natural resources properly and using them wisely for sustainable development so that every generation can experience the richness of nature, especially agricultural products.

Abstract

Horenzo spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that is currently in great demand by the public, however the cultivation process is still very limited so it requires optimal cultivation methods. Ecoenzyme is an organic solution that can be used in horenzo spinach cultivation as a substitute for fertilizer, because it contains nutrients that plants need. The ecoenzymes used are sourced from vegetable waste (mustard greens and lemongrass) and fruit peels (pineapple, mango, banana, watermelon and orange). This research was conducted to examine the potential of ecoenzymes and obtain optimal concentrations of ecoenzyme administration for the growth of Horenzo spinach plants. There were 6 treatments in this study, namely without treatment as a negative control (E0), giving a mixture of white CNG and KNO3 fertilizer as a positive control (E1) and giving different doses of ecoenzymes, namely 1ml/l (E2), 5ml/l (E3), 10 /l (E4) and 15ml/l (E5). Observations were carried out for 42 days with the parameters observed, namely vegetative growth (plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, root length, root volume and plant organ biomass) as well as the chlorophyll content of the leaves of the Horenzo spinach plant. The data that had been obtained was then analyzed by Post-Hoc Tukey test data which showed that treatment E1 had significantly different results from other treatments and treatment E5 was an ecoenzyme treatment that had the potential to increase the growth of horenzo spinach plants. The conclusion obtained from this research is that the highest dose of ecoenzyme is not optimal in increasing the growth of Horenzo spinach plants from all test parameters, however E5 treatment has the potential to increase the growth of Horenzo spinach.

Abstract

Vegetables are one of the most widely cultivated crops because of their important role in fulfilling food nutrition. In the implementation of vegetable cultivation, there will be obstacles such as pest and disease attacks. Chili plants can be used as vegetable pesticides because they have capsaicin compounds that can have a negative effect on pests. This literature review aims to discuss capsaicin compounds as anti-pests in vegetables, namely by causing the death of vegetable pests in several studies. The method used was a literature study. The results in the four articles reviewed show that the capsaicin compound in chili peppers can be used as a vegetable pesticide because it can affect digestion, inhibit growth and nerve work in pests which ultimately causes the death of these pests. The higher the concentration of chili extract, the higher the percentage of pest mortality. This vegetable pesticide from red chili extract can be used as an alternative to chemical pesticides.

Abstract

The environment plays an important role in human life as a place of interaction between organisms. Every individual should have an attitude of caring about the environment in order to maintain the sustainability of life. This research aims to analyze people's environmental care attitudes and understand the supporting factors. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method complemented by interviews and observations. The sampling technique used was quota sampling, with sampling limited to 70 in the Bandung City area. The attitude of caring for the environment in society and students in terms of knowledge is already in a good category, but has not been implemented well. Factors that influence this include unclear legal policy regulations, the lack of a culture of social discipline, and the rise of consumer culture which contributes to more waste. Efforts are needed to increase attitudes that care about the environment with guidance, seminars, education and invitations on social media.

Abstract

Polluted waters generally contain materials harmful to human health, factory waste, metal waste, community waste can pollute these waters. Although polluted, there are some organisms that are able to survive in such conditions, such as catfish. The purpose of this article is to determine the diversity in aquatic ecosystems polluted by textile waste through bioindicators in the form of fish. The result of this study was the discovery of 3 species of fish that are able to adapt to polluted waters, namely Clarias batrachus, Pterygoplichthys pardalis, and Fundulus Grandis. The method used is in the form of a literature study on topics relevant to the purpose of this article. The results show that polluted water conditions can affect diversity in aquatic ecosystems, evidenced by the development of invasive species and the reduction of native species in a freshwater ecosystem. Species that are able to survive in polluted water conditions may contain harmful substances such as heavy metals and should not be consumed by humans.

Abstract

Water is the most important substance needed by living things apart from air. Long droughts have serious impacts on society and the environment resulting in a lack of clean water supply, both in terms of quality and quantity. The purpose of the article is to contribute to a better understanding of overcoming the clean water crisis by utilizing artificial rain. The method of writing this article is a literature study on several journals and previous articles to obtain data and information to review experiences that have been successfully carried out in previous studies. The parameters used are pH, DHL, Sulfate, and Ca. Based on the study data, the pH is 6-8 which is still safe for drinking water consumption and fisheries, the DHL parameter is not recommended for drinking water consumption because it contains electric charge and is not recommended for agriculture and fisheries because it has high DHL levels. Sulfate is considered safe because it has low levels. In general, the presence of sulfate does not have a significant impact on health because the nature of sulfate ions is quite stable and does not react easily.   Both high and low Ca levels are still considered unsafe. Only pH and Sulfate levels are classified as safe for agriculture, fisheries, and as drinking water.
