Abstract

Indonesia has more than 300 ethnic groups, of which the Javanese are the most widely distributed. The province of West Java displays a variety of cultures and traditions, such as the Ciptagelar indigenous community, which, although they feel they are part of Banten, maintains its cultural distinctiveness. Local wisdom plays an important role in maintaining culture, is passed down from generation to generation and reflects the values that influence community life. The Kasepuhan Ciptagelar traditional community inherits and upholds the wisdom of their ancestors, passing it on orally from generation to generation. The traditional rules of ancestral heritage, known as tatali paranti karuhun, are the main guide in the life and outlook of the Ciptagelar community. This wisdom is based on the advice of their parents. and ideas from elders, guiding them in preserving culture and the environment with full dedication. Their adherence to customs and traditions strengthens their commitment to preserving nature, reflected in the wise use of natural resources and maintaining the balance of the local ecosystem.

Abstract

Macrozoobenthos are aquatic organisms that live on the bottom of the water. Currently, the upstream Cikapundung River is indicated to be polluted by garbage, household waste, industrial waste, agricultural waste and livestock manure. This study aims to determine the diversity of macrozoobenthos as a bioindicator of water quality in the upstream Cikapundung river based on physical, chemical and biological parameters. This research was conducted in April 2023. The research used the exploration method. Macrozoobenthos sampling consists of five locations namely; Curug Omas, Curug Lalay, Kidang, Curug Koleang and Curug Dago. The results of the data analysis of the calculation of the Diversity Index, Abundance and Dominance indicate that the upstream Cikapundung river is classified as moderately polluted. This is evidenced by the diversity value obtained, which falls within the range of 1.94 - 2 (2.0). The high abundance index value is observed in location 2, while the dominance index value is 0.50 D ≤ 0.75. A total of nine species were identified in the benthic samples, which were classified into four classes, nine families, and seven genera. The dominating benthos of the five locations is Planaria sp. Based on an analysis of biotic and abiotic components, the upstream Cikapundung river is classified as exhibiting minimal pollution.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran problem based learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sekolah dasar. Selain itu, penelitian ini dilakukan agar siswa selalu memiliki kebiasaan untuk berfikir sisi baik dan sisi buruk sebelum memutuskan suatu keputusan dalam kehidupan siswa kelak. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDIT Raudhatur Rahmah Pekanbaru dengan subjek berjumlah 60 orang siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain kuasi eksperimen dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. lnstrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berfikir kritis digunakan soal bentuk uraian dan menggunakan angket untuk mengukur sikap peduli lingkungan siswa. Perhitungan analisis data kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan bantuan software SPSS Versi 16.0 for windows dan Microsoft Excel 2013. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan sikap peduli lingkungan lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan peningkatan pada kelas yang menggunakan pembelajaran secara konvensional.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate students' sustainability awareness and engagement and to analyze students' perception of the ESD Project in Biology lessons at an Indonesian Senior High School. This study uses a Mixed Method research design combining quantitative and qualitative research methods. The participants were Year X students of a Senior High School in Jakarta in the 2022/2023 academic year. Survey, journal of reflection, semi-structured interview, observations, and documentation, were used to collect data. Finding: This research found that ESD Project in biology lessons develops Indonesian students' sustainability awareness and engagement. Students change their mindset from being unconscious to become more concerned with environmental issues. Several evidence of the consciousness in this research includes applying sustainability in the daily practice, doing real action by creating campaign videos. The awareness is also shown by their beliefs, values, and judgments in their reflective journal, including developing environmental literacy, changing into pro-environment, and positive attitude to protect the environment. Secondly, PjBL learning model in Biology lessons is meaningful for students by stimulating their cognitive and behavioral engagement. The most popular activity of the ESD Project is creating the design of clothes from waste. The implementation of ESD Projects has some challenges such as time consuming, and low self-regulation among Indonesian high school students. Implications for research, practice, and policy are discussed.

Abstract

Environmental issues in the river area have received less attention, even though the river plays a big role in people's lives, especially those around it. It is important to know the concern of high school students for the environment because they are the next generation of the region's future development. One of the rivers in the Cimanggung area is the Cimande River. This study aims to analyze the environmental concerns of high school students regarding the river environment in the Cimanggung Area and its surroundings. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative method, with respondents of high school students in the Cimanggung area totaling 139 respondents with an age range of 15-18 years. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and literature studies. The instrument used to determine the level of student concern for the environment uses a Likert scale consisting of 25 questions and 5 interview questions. The results showed that the level of student concern was broadly in the good category with an average score of 76.9. The results of observations and interviews show that the waste contained in the river environment is waste from people who pass by, not residents who live around the river area.

Abstract

Adanya revitalisasi dan penataan area Situ Bagendit dilakukan dalam rangka mempertahankan fungsi dalam pemeliharaan menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dan fungsi ekonomi. Kawasan Situ Bagendit sudah resmi dibuka lagi sejak tahun 2023 sebagai tempat wisata sehingga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat sekitar Kabupaten Garut. Kualitas Air Situ Bagendit dalam status hipertrofik (Hidayat, 2021) dan eutrofikasi yang artinya sudah terjadi pencemaran tinggi (Surtikanti dkk, 2023). Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di Situ Bagendit dengan tema penuangan ekoenzim di danau Situ Bagendit, bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas air. Kegiatan ini melibatkan beberapa Perguruan Tinggi yaitu Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Ma’soem, Universitas Winaya Mukti. Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan DHB, Universitas Islam As-syafiiyah, Universitas Islam Nusantara, Komunitas Ekoenzim Bandung, Rumah Edukasi Ecoenzym & Sekolah Konservasi Garut, Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin Bandung, guru-guru Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Biologi Kabupaten Garut dan Lions Club LCJS Metteyya Mahardhika Jakarta Selatan dengan total peserta berjumlah 110 orang. Ekoenzim yang terkumpul dari para komunitas mencapai 1.000 liter. Penuangan dilakukan di lima titik yaitu: menara swafoto, taman teratai, warung apung, masjid apung dan tempat rekreasi. Setelah kegiatan penuangan ekoenzim di Situ Bagendit diharapkan kualitas air menjadi lebih baik dan masyarakat lain dari seluruh instansi termotivasi untuk ikut berperan membuat ekoenzim (daur ulang limbah organik) dan ikut terlibat dalam menjaga kualitas danau.
