Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pelatihan sablon sebagai sarana pengembangan life skill bagi warga belajar di PKBM Sekar Kabupaten Serang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi pengelola, instruktur, dan warga belajar yang mengikuti pelatihan sablon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan sablon di PKBM Sekar berperan penting dalam meningkatkan keterampilan hidup warga belajar, terutama dalam aspek keterampilan vokasional, kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan kerja sama. Strategi pelatihan yang diterapkan meliputi penyusunan tujuan pelatihan, perencanaan materi, metode praktik langsung, serta evaluasi hasil kerja peserta. Meskipun terdapat hambatan seperti keterbatasan alat dan perbedaan kemampuan peserta, PKBM mampu mengatasinya melalui pendekatan personal dan pendampingan intensif. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan sablon menjadi wadah efektif untuk membentuk life skill warga belajar dalam konteks pendidikan nonformal.

Abstract

Sexual violence against children and adolescents remains a serious problem that often goes unreported due to social stigma, fear, and low awareness of victims to report. In this context, the role of volunteers from the Indonesian Safe Brother Foundation is crucial in fostering the courage to speak up as a form of self-protection. This study aims to analyze the role of volunteers in providing education and building children's courage to disclose experiences of sexual violence. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study, while data collection techniques include in-depth interviews and observations. The main research subjects included three volunteers and three elementary school children who were the targets of the education program. The results show that volunteers play a crucial role as educational agents in building children's courage to speak up. Through a child-friendly and participatory approach, volunteers successfully increased children's understanding of body boundaries, types of sexual violence, and self-protection steps such as "no, run, report."

Abstract

Sexual violence against children is still a serious problem in Indonesia which is influenced by children's low understanding of personal body boundaries and dangerous situations. Therefore, preventive efforts are needed through early education with an approach that is appropriate to the child's characteristics. This activity aims to increase children's understanding and awareness of the prevention of sexual violence through an educational approach based on interactive activities in the Pekijing Literacy Village. The implementation method is carried out through the coordination, implementation and evaluation stages using storytelling, singing and educational games. The target of the activity is school-age children who are given an understanding of private body parts, inappropriate behavior, and how to protect themselves from dangerous situations. The results of the activity show an increase in children's understanding of recognizing private body parts, the ability to identify behavior that leads to sexual violence, and the courage to refuse and report inappropriate actions. The interactive approach is also able to increase children's participation and involvement during the activity. Thus, an educational approach based on interactive activities can be an effective preventive strategy in efforts to prevent sexual violence against children from an early age.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide education on self-protection from sexual violence to elementary school-aged children through an interactive storytelling approach in the public space of the Ats-Tsauroh Mosque in Serang City. The background to this activity is based on children's low understanding of their private bodies and limited sexual literacy due to a lack of education appropriate to children's developmental characteristics. The activity was carried out directly in the public space of the Ats-Tsauroh Mosque in Serang City, involving elementary school-aged children and their accompanying parents. Education was delivered through interactive storytelling combined with discussions, questions and answers, and simple educational games to increase participant engagement. The results of the activity showed that children had a better understanding of self-protection concepts, such as recognizing private body parts, understanding their boundaries, and knowing how to respond to unsafe situations. Furthermore, conducting the activity in a public space created a more open atmosphere and encouraged active participant participation. Therefore, the interactive storytelling approach in community service activities in public spaces can be an effective educational strategy in increasing children's understanding of self-protection from sexual violence.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze how community empowerment develops within a waste-based circular livelihood model in a low-capacity context, with particular attention to the role of adaptive leadership as a transitional mechanism toward participatory autonomy. Method: The research employed a qualitative Participatory Action Research (PAR) design conducted at Padepokan Siloka SMART, a tempe-producing community facing environmental challenges due to unmanaged soybean pulp waste. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, focus group discussions, and documentation. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis involving open, axial, and selective coding to identify patterns in leadership dynamics, livelihood adaptation, and experiential learning processes. Results: The findings indicate that empowerment did not initially emerge from spontaneous participation but from leader-driven initiation due to limited reflective capacity and economic vulnerability among predominantly elderly members. Adaptive leadership functioned as a catalytic and pedagogical mechanism that scaffolded collective action. The integration of long-term livestock investment with short-cycle sorghum cultivation stabilized participation, reduced environmental pollution, diversified income sources, and strengthened social capital. Novelty: This study proposes an adaptive transitional empowerment model that reconceptualizes leadership as a staged learning mechanism rather than a contradiction to participation, contributing to recent educational research on experiential and context-sensitive community transformation.

Abstract

Waste management is currently a problem in every region of Indonesia, including the village of Margagiri in Bojonegara Subdistrict, Serang Regency, Banten Province. This is due to a lack of proper waste management. To address this issue, a company in the vicinity of the village—PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Cilegon, has launched a community empowerment program with one of its focuses on waste management. In carrying out these empowerment activities, PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Cilegon does not operate alone but collaborates with multi-stakeholder partners. Therefore, the objective of this study is to provide an overview of how community empowerment strategies based on multi-stakeholder partnerships are implemented.The research methodology employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the multi-stakeholder empowerment strategy consists of the initiation, formation, implementation, evaluation, and development stages. The partnership has been successful due to the active involvement of various actors and the achievement of partnership success indicators.
