Abstract

Pembelajaran di masa pandemik telah menjadi tantangan besar bagi pendidik di setiap level pendidikan untuk tetap memberikan pembelajaran secara maksimal. Salah satunya dialami oleh SDN 4 Tawangargo Kabupaten Malang. Guru menghindari penilaian yang seharusnya dapat dilakukan melalui penilaian autentik. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada para guru di sekolah dasar agar terampil mengembangkan asesmen autentik yaitu asesmen pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah workshop dan pendampingan. Selama workshop yang berlangsung pada tanggal 20 Agustus 2022, mitra diberi materi tentang hakikat dan jenis-jenis asesmen, dan langkah-langkah penyusunan asesmen pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Mitra selanjutnya didampingi secara daring dalam tiga kali pertemuan yaitu tanggal 12, 19 dan 26 September 2022 untuk membuat produk dan produk yang dihasilkan didiskusikan, diberikan masukan dan dinilai oleh tim pengabdian. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 11 orang guru dan 4 orang dosen tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM). Hasil yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan workshop dan kegiatan pendampingan adalah peserta cukup terampil dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek beserta penilaiannya. Mitra perlu latihan terus menerus agar keterampilan mengembangkan asesmen autentik semakin berkem­bang sehingga kegiatan asesmen mampu memberikan dampak bagi siswa. Pada kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah, agar kegiatan workshop dan pendampingan ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan pada praktik pembelajaran dan penilaian, maka guru perlu mengimplementasikan praktik penilaian berkelanjutan sehingga guru memperoleh informasi yang komprehensif untuk mengevaluasi proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan.  Learning during the pandemic has become a big challenge for educators at every education level to continue providing maximum learning. One of them was experienced by SDN 4 Tawangargo, Malang Regency. Teachers avoid assessments that would otherwise be possible through authentic assessments. This service aims to educate teachers in elementary schools to be skilled in developing authentic assessments, namely project-based learning assessments. The methods used in this activity are workshops and mentoring. During the workshop, which took place on August 20, 2022, partners were given material on the nature and types of assessments and the steps for preparing project-based learning assessments. Partners are then accompanied online in three meetings, September 12, 19 and 26, 2022, to discuss the products and products produced, given input and assessed by the service team. The results obtained after workshops and mentoring activities are that participants are skilled in developing project-based learning and its assessment. Partners need continuous training so that the skills of developing authentic assessments are increasingly developed so that assessment activities can impact students.

Abstract

Banyak sekali buku teks Bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar yang saat ini digunakan termasuk dalam kategori kurang baik karena banyak dari buku tersebut merupakan terbitan lebih dari 10 tahun yang lalu yang tentunya berbeda dengan kurikulum yang saat ini diterapkan. Hal ini hendaknya dapat memancing kreatifitas guru untuk membuat materi pendukung. Salah satu materi pendukung yang tentunya menarik dan dapat meningkatkan semangat dan motivasi siswa adalah flipbook. Ada beberapa penelitian yang telah membuktikan keefektifan penggunaan flipbook dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, program kemitraan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada para guru SD (yang mengajar Bahasa Inggris) untuk dapat membuat flipbook dalam bentuk digital. Peneliti berharap dapat melakukan pendampingan kepada para guru tersebut sehingga mereka dapat mengekspresikan kreatifitas mereka dalam flipbook yang tentunya dapat menunjang kegiatan belajar pembelajaran yang mereka lakukan

Abstract

ChatGPT merupakan salah satu produk kecerdasan buatan yang dirancang untuk berkomunikasi layaknya manusia. Fitur yang ditawarkan ChatGPT adalah dapat menghasilkan teks dengan kosa kata dan tata bahasa yang sangat mengagumkan. Namun, jika diterapkan dalam lingkungan akademik, ChatGPT menawarkan sejumlah manfaat, meskipun terdapat tantangan yang patut diperhatikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam persepsi dosen di Indonesia terhadap penggunaan ChatGPT dalam ranah akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar dosen berpengalaman dalam mengoperasikan chatGPT dalam ranah akademik (73,6%). Dosen memandang chatGPT sebagai hal yang positif berkaitan dengan fiturnya yang dirasa mampu mendorong akademisi untuk belajar secara mandiri (48,3%), mencari informasi (44,8%), menghasilkan ide-ide/gagasan (44,8%), membantu dalam menulis teks, pidato, artikel, presentasi, dsb (41,4%), dan membantu dosen dalam membuat materi pembelajaran (27,3%). Adapun sebagian besar dosen menilai negatif chatGPT ditilik dari tantangannya dalam hal plagiarisme (65,5%). Setiap kemajuan teknologi selalu disertai dengan tantangan dan peluangnya. Semakin berkembangnya zaman, manusia diharapkan mampu hidup berdampingan dengan teknologi.

Abstract

The initiative aims to analyze the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Enhancement Project (P5) in student character formation. The qualitative approach is used in the initiation of the SDN of the First Grade I, using observations, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Successfully collected data is analyzed through a series of stages, including data reduction, data presentation, and verification, with the aim of generating conclusions based on findings during the study. Research results show that implementation of P5 involves measures such as design, management, assessment, evaluation, and follow-up. The P5 theme focuses on sustainable lifestyles and local wisdom, with specialized modules covering data literacy, digital literature, and humanism literacy. P5 management in High School I includes team formation, identification of school readiness, character dimension selection, theme determination, and implementation time allocation. Formative and sumative assessments are used to evaluate student character development, while evaluation involves identifying weaknesses and monitoring student skills. The final evaluation and follow-up involves character strengthening and the continuation of positive practices through the Mari Actions program. The further action of Mari Acts is expected to be a means and a positive habit in strengthening the character of the pupils, in line with the character profile of Pancasila students. This research provides an in-depth overview of the implementation of P5 as a character education strategy in SDN Tunggulwulung I, providing inspiration and reference for other schools that want to adopt P5 to strengthen student character education.

Abstract

In this era of technological progress, adequate digital literacy skills are needed for elementary school students. The problem that arises is the lack of measuring tools to capture digital literacy skills specifically for elementary school students. Where this measuring instrument can be used as a tool to profile elementary school students' digital literacy abilities. The results of the digital literacy skill profile portrait can be used by teachers to carry out future intervention strategies. Based on this, this research aims to create a questionnaire instrument that can measure digital literacy skills in elementary school students. This research uses seven areas of digital literacy that have been determined by UNESCO (2018). Aspects of the characteristics of elementary school students including cognitive, language, motoric, social-emotional are also taken into consideration. This research applies a 4D model. Data was collected using a validity questionnaire instrument. The test subjects were elementary school teacher education lecturers who had a track record of research related to educational technology. Data were analysis using descriptive analysis techniques to describe the validity of the products that had been developed. The validation results show that the indicators for developing this instrument have been prepared based on the digital literacy theory promoted by UNESCO in 2018, and have also been detailed with the characteristics of elementary school students. According to experts, this instrument can be considered an excellent category and is ready to be used in measuring the digital literacy skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

The training on developing TPACK-based (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) teaching modules at SDN Madyopuro 01, Malang City, aims to enhance teachers' competencies in integrating technology into teaching in line with the Merdeka Curriculum. This initiative is motivated by the need to modernize teaching methods and increase student engagement through technology. Teachers were trained to create relevant and innovative teaching modules through a series of training activities, including the introduction of the TPACK concept, technical training on using technology, and workshops on teaching module development. The results of this training show a significant improvement in teachers' understanding and skills, with 85% of participants able to develop TPACK-based teaching modules independently. The outcomes of this activity include 12 ready-to-use TPACK-based teaching modules, as well as increased teacher motivation and engagement in the teaching process. This training successfully supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the school, creating a more adaptive and responsive learning environment to meet the needs of the times.

Abstract

Teachers at SDN Pandanwangi 3 Malang rely heavily on textbooks and powerpoint in their learning activities due to limited references to develop other methods that can attract students' interest. Thus, this training aims to improve teachers' literacy competencies and promote interactive and fun learning methods. Various digital children’s literature were exposed to 30 teachers participating in the training which took place at 17 July (offline), 24 July and 31 July (online via zoom), and 7 August (offline). The training method included material presentation and practical coaching. The results of the training indicated high enthusiasm from teachers in enhancing their literacy competencies and developing interactive and fun learning by integrating reading books.

Abstract

The limitations of teaching materials and the use of inappropriate learning strategies cause students to be less than optimal in developing their skills, especially collaboration. The purpose of this research is to develop a Treasure Hunt learning strategy to strengthen collaboration skills in the dimension of Global Diversity in elementary school students. The research method used is research and development with the ADDIE model. Testing learning strategies on students' collaboration skills in the implications of Global Diversity used a one-group pretest-post-test design involving 32 fourth-grade elementary school students. This study used instruments in the form of tests and rubrics for assessing the implementation of learning. Data collection used test and observation methods. Pretest and post-test data were analyzed using nonparametric statistical tests while students' collaboration skills were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. Based on the results of testing and data analysis, there is a development of Global Diversity implications from before and after learning with the Treasure Hunt learning strategy that integrates media in the form of comics, puzzles, and videos. Students' collaboration skills can be observed during the learning process and show students can share tasks in groups or complete treasure hunts together to achieve the Global Diversity Mission. Thus, learning strategies that facilitate learners with collaborative activities indoors and outdoors can activate student cooperation to successfully achieve group goals.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Asesmen autentik masih cenderung dihindari oleh para guru dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini menyebabkan asesmen belum memberikan dampak dalam pembelajaran sepanjang hayat. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan asesmen autentik dalam pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Metode: edukasi dan pelatihan. Hasil: Hasilnya, guru-guru sudah mampu mengembangkan asesmen autentik dengan cukup baik. Kecermatan guru dan kreativitas ide tentu perlu ditingkatkan lagi dengan latihan yang intensif dalam mengembangkan daftar tugas maupun rubrik penilaian khususnya untuk asesmen kinerja. Kesimpulan: Para guru sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan edukasi dan pelatihan asesmen autentik dan kegiatan mampu merubah paradigma guru tentang asesmen autentik untuk memberikan dampak pembelajaran sepanjang hayat.

Abstract

Teacher professional development in primary schools in Indonesia is a crucial component in the efforts to enhance educational quality. This research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program whick aimed at enhancing pedagogical and professional competencies of teachers. The methodology used is qualitative research with a literature study approach involving data collection to understand and study theories from relevant literature.  In addition, policy analysis and interviews with various stakeholders in the education sector. The results of this study show that the CPD policy significantly impacts teaching practices and teachers' learning experiences, though challenges in its implementation include resource limitations and systematic support. The implications for improving education quality are significant, with improvements in teaching abilities and teachers' adaptation to innovative learning methods. This study proposes that educational policies should focus more on high-quality training and collaborative approaches between teachers and local governments to ensure effective implementation of professional development programs. ABSTRAKPengembangan profesional guru sekolah dasar di Indonesia merupakan komponen krusial dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi efektivitas Program Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan (PKB) yang bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru. Metodologi yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur melibatkan pengumpulan data untuk memahami dan mempelajari teori-teori dari literatur yang relevan. Selain itu dilakukan juga analisis kebijakan dan wawancara dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan di sektor pendidikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan PKB memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap praktik pengajaran dan pengalaman belajar guru, meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam penerapannya yang mencakup keterbatasan sumber daya dan dukungan sistematis. Implikasinya terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan adalah signifikan, dengan peningkatan kemampuan mengajar dan adaptasi guru terhadap metode pembelajaran inovatif. Penelitian ini mengusulkan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan harus lebih menekankan pada pelatihan berkualitas tinggi dan pendekatan kolaboratif antara guru dan pemerintah daerah untuk memastikan implementasi yang efektif dari program pengembangan profesional.
