Abstract

The money market is an essential component of the financial system that plays a significant role in short-term liquidity management and the implementation of monetary policy. An efficient and liquid money market is considered a crucial factor in maintaining the stability of a country’s financial system. This study aims to analyze the role of the money market in supporting financial system stability in Indonesia and to identify the mechanisms that influence the effectiveness of this role. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method based on various scientific publications, financial institution reports, and policy documents relevant to the research topic. The data used are secondary data obtained from academic journals, textbooks, and official publications from financial institutions such as Bank Indonesia and Otoritas Jasa Keuangan. Data analysis was conducted using a qualitative descriptive analysis by examining theories and previous research findings related to the money market and financial system stability. The results indicate that the money market plays a strategic role in maintaining financial system stability through banking liquidity management, supporting the transmission of monetary policy, and improving the efficiency of fund distribution within the financial system. Therefore, the development of a deeper, more transparent, and integrated money market is an important factor in strengthening financial system stability in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of economic growth on community welfare in Bandar Lampung City for the period 2013–2023. Using a quantitative approach with secondary data from BPS (Statistics Indonesia) Bandar Lampung and the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), this research employs simple linear regression analysis and the Human Development Index (HDI) as the primary welfare indicator. The results show that economic growth has a significant and positive effect on community welfare in Bandar Lampung City. A 1% increase in economic growth leads to an increase in the HDI by 0.42 points. The average HDI of Bandar Lampung reached 75.23 during the study period, placing it in the high human development category. However, the pace of HDI improvement does not always align proportionally with economic growth rates, indicating that growth inclusivity and equitable distribution remain key policy challenges. The findings suggest that policymakers should prioritize pro-poor growth strategies and strengthen social protection programs to ensure that economic growth effectively translates into improved community welfare.

Abstract

This research examines the effects of digital economic development and monetary regulations on the resilience of the Indonesian rupiah exchange rate. The research uses an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach to test the dynamic relationship between periods. The findings indicate that monetary policy instruments, such as interest rates, as well as growth in the digital economy, have a significant impact on exchange rate fluctuations. Although digitalization enhances transaction efficiency and expands access to global markets, it also creates more complex volatility in exchange rates. The study’s conclusion indicates that monetary policy and developments in the digital economy mutually influence exchange rates, so policymakers need to implement comprehensive strategies to maintain macroeconomic stability in the digital era.
