Abstract

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education has attracted growing global attention, yet its development within physics learning in Indonesia remains unevenly mapped. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of STEM-oriented physics education in Indonesian secondary schools (2010–2024). Articles were retrieved using Publish or Perish (Google Scholar), curated in Mendeley, and analyzed with VOSviewer. Fifty-four eligible journal articles were identified. The findings indicate that research on STEM-oriented physics learning expanded rapidly, peaking in 2020, and subsequently fluctuated at levels above those observed before 2018. East Java was identified as the most productive province in STEM education research related to physics learning. Furthermore, the University of Jember and the State University of Malang are the two most active institutions in publishing articles in this field. Based on keyword analysis, STEM research in physics learning predominantly focuses on the development of teaching materials, instructional models, learning outcomes, and physics subject content. Among the ten most-cited articles, four discuss STEM project-based learning. This study maps the national research landscape, providing an empirical foundation for researchers, educators, and policymakers to identify gaps, refine STEM strategies, and promote evidence-based practices. Practically, the field would benefit from broader multi-site collaborations (including regions beyond Java), more rigorous methodological reporting, and the systematic adoption of technology-enhanced resources.

Abstract

The Community Empowerment Partnership Program (PKM) implemented at SMA Negeri 1 Ambon aims to support the improvement of 21st century skills through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) learning training based on Coding Robot For Mission (R4M). This program was initiated in response to the challenges of digital era education, which demands critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills, both to prepare students for the global workforce and to promote the advancement of the Maluku region. The implementation of activities was based on the results of an analysis of the situation and the needs of partners, which were then agreed upon jointly. The method used is Community Development, which is an empowerment and partnership-based approach, actively involving the school community in every stage of the activity, from socialization, module development, coding, and robotics design training, to technology implementation assistance. The results of this program show that SMA Negeri 1 Ambon, as a partner, has great potential as a pioneer in the application of STEAM-based learning and digital literacy, but still faces significant limitations. Nevertheless, teachers and school officials show high enthusiasm and readiness for change. With the support of training, mentoring, and the provision of facilities, SMA Negeri 1 Ambon has the potential to become a model for the implementation of STEAM and coding in Maluku Province, while also strengthening students' 21st-century skills in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of STEAM learning based on Logix games to improve students' critical thinking skills in science (Physics) material at SMP Negeri 8 Ambon. This study uses quantitative and qualitative research methods, a quasi-experimental type of research involving an experimental group and a control group. The sampling method is carried out randomly. The sample in this study consisted of 46 students. The design used was a pre-test post-test control group design. The research design was Quasi-Experimental. Data analysis in this study was conducted using quantitative descriptive analysis to describe the data as it is in the form of percentages and explain the data or events with explanatory sentences qualitatively and also used differential statistical analysis. The data analysis techniques used include: independent t-test and N-Gain test for test results and qualitative descriptive response test. The results of the N-Gain test found that in the control class using the conventional model, most students did not experience an increase in critical thinking skills with a percentage increase in the low category of 82.35% and a medium category of 17.65%, while for the experimental class it was found that the experimental class using the STEAM approach based on games logic on critical thinking skills experienced an increase in cognitive critical thinking skills with a percentage in the high category of 13.04%, medium of 78.26%, and low of 8.7%, this is supported by the value of the independent t-test with a 2-tailed sign value of less than 0.05 at the assumed equal variances value, there is a significant difference between the control and experimental classes where the treatment of the experimental class affects the student's grades, causing the grades to be higher than the value of the control class that was not given any treatment, so in general it can be concluded that the application of the STEAM approach based on games logic in science learning provides significant opportunities for students to develop critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis proyek merupakan rancangan peserta didik, perencanaan dan mengembangkan proyek dengan menghasilkan suatu karya berupa produk yang dapat diperlihatkan, dipublikasikan atau dipresentasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa pada materi Fluida Dinamis.Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Semester genap SMA Negeri 1 Bangun Purba  yang terdiri dari tiga kelas. Sampel penelitian ini diambil dua kelas yaitu kelas XI-1 (sebagai kelas eksperimen) dan kelas XI-3 (sebagai kelas kontrol) yang masing-masing berjumlah 30 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel dari populasi dilakukan secara acak tanpa memperhatikan strata yang ada dalam populasi itu. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar dalam ranah kognitif berbentuk uraian yang terdiri dari 8 soal yang sudah divalidasi. Dari analisa data untuk kelas eksperimen yang diberi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek diperoleh rata-rata pretes 38,25 dan nilai rata-rata postes 76,33. Kelas control diperoleh rata-rata pretes 38,33 dan rata-rata postes 69,07.  Hasil penilaian di kelas eksperimen menunjukkan aktivitas dengan kategori sangat aktif. Keterampilan siswa termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik serta perubahan sikap pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji beda (uji-t) diperoleh ada pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa pada materi Fluida Dinamis di kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bangun Purba. Kesimpulan yang di dapat adalah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi fluida dinamis kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Bangun Purba.

Abstract

Literasi sains merupakan fondasi yang esensial pada pembelajaran abad ke-21. Literasi sains akan membantu siswa untuk memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupan nyata. Berdasarkan data literasi sains siswa Indonesia yang rendah maka perlu dilakukan sebuah kajian di tingkat sekolah guna mendapatkan gambaran kompetensi literasi sains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memotret level kompetensi literasi sains dengan menggunakan Complex Multiple Choice Tetst (CMCT). Populasi penelitiannya siswa SMP Negeri 40 Maluku Tengah kelas VIII dimana 27 orang terpilih sebagai sampel yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah paket soal CMCTberjumlah 20 butir yang divalidasi oleh dua orang ahli sehingga jumlah butir yang valid 16 butir. Validasi isi menggunakan formula Aiken’s V dan reliabilitas konstruk menggunakan item to total correlation dan Cronbach’s Alpha serta statistik deskriptif dengan menghitung persentase capaian. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan level kompetensi literasi sains siswa berada di level sangat rendah dengan persentase 38,06%. Ada tiga indikator yang diukur yakni menjelaskan fenomena secara ilmiah sebesar 42,96% (rendah), selanjutnya indikator menafsirkan data dan bukti ilmiah sebesar 40,86% (rendah) dan indikator merancang dan mengevaluasi eksperimen dengan persentase 30,37% (sangat rendah). Temuan ini memberikan gambaran level literasi sains siswa yang perlu diperbaiki melalui pembelajaran dan asesmen yang tepat.

Abstract

This bibliographic analysis presents a meticulous exploration of the existing literature regarding women's work-life balance. It synthesizes a wide array of scholarly sources to uncover trends, patterns, and gaps in research on this critical topic. The analysis reveals the myriad challenges women face in their pursuit of work-life balance, ranging from career advancement hurdles to societal expectations and familial responsibilities. It highlights the diverse strategies and coping mechanisms women employ to navigate these challenges successfully. Furthermore, this bibliographic analysis raises the question of whether work-life balance is a universally recognized and prioritized concept among women from various backgrounds and cultures. It critically examines the cultural and contextual factors that may shape differing perspectives on this issue. By scrutinizing the scholarly discourse on women's work-life balance, this analysis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge in this field. It offers valuable insights into the research landscape and identifies potential avenues for future investigation, fostering a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding women's experiences in balancing work and life.

Abstract

Dunia penelitian membutuhkan sebuah metode untuk mengidentifikasi celah penelitian (research gap) dari penelitian yang sudah dipublikasikan dalam bentuk jurnal maupun prosiding seminar. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan adalah analisis bibliometrik menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak Publish or Perish dan VOSViewer. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melakukan analisis bibliometrik dengan topik keterampilan proses sains siswa SMA dan MA dari tahun 2010 sampai dengan 2023. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan perangkat lunak Publish or Persih dengan database Google Scholar. Hasil pencarian kemudian disimpan dalam bentuk CSV file dan RIS file. Data CSV digunakan untuk melakukan analisis jumlah publikasi per tahun, tema penelitian, dan mata pelajaran yang digunakan dalam meneliti keterampilan proses sains siswa. Data RIS digunakan untuk melakukan visualisasi bibliometrik menggunakan VOSViewer. Hasil pengumpulan data publikasi diperoleh jumlah publikasi sebanyak 223 publikasi, setelah dilakukan pemilahan diperoleh data bersih sebanyak 203 publikasi. Jumlah publikasi terbanyak pada tahun 2016 sebanyak 31 publikasi dan hasil identifikasi tema penelitian diperoleh data sebanyak 19 tema penelitian. Untuk mata pelajaran yang paling banyak digunakan dalam meneliti keterampilan proses sains siswa adalah mata pelajaran fisika. Hasil visualisasi jaringan bibliometerik menunjukkan setiap kata kunci saling terhubung dengan kata kunci keterampilan proses sains. Hubungan antar kata kunci ini membentuk 12 klaster dengan kata kunci yang sering muncul sebanyak 33 kata kunci. Visualisasi overlay memberikan informasi terdapat lima kata kunci yang dapat dijadikan topik penelitian terbaru yang berhubungan dengan keterampilan proses sains. Visualisasi densitas menunjukkan keterampilan proses sains memiliki kerapatan yang paling besar dibandingkan kata kunci lainnya.The research community needs a method to identify gaps from research published in journals and seminar proceedings. One method that can be used is bibliometric analysis using Publish or Perish and VOSViewer software. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the science process skills of senior high school students (SMA) and Islamic senior high school students (MA) from 2010 to 2023. Data were collected using Publish or Perish software with Google Scholar as a database. The retrieved results were subsequently saved in the CSV and RIS file formats. CSV data were used to analyze the number of publications per year, research themes, and subjects used in research on students’ science process skills. The RIS data were used to perform bibliometric visualisation using VOSViewer. A total of 223 publications were collected. After sorting, the number of clean data was 203 publications. The highest number of publications occurred in 2016, with 31 publications, and the identification of research themes yielded 19 themes. The subject most used in research on students’ science process skills is physics. The results of the bibliometric network visualization show that each keyword is interconnected with science process skill keywords. The relationships between these keywords created 12 clusters, containing 33 frequently appearing keywords. Overlay visualization reveals five keywords that could be explored as potential new research topics in science process skills. Density visualization shows that science process skills have the highest density compared to the other keywords.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum brings a paradigm of perspective in learning in education. Learning is directed towards the potential and characteristics of the learner. This approach in the curriculum is a form of preparation for the nation's successors to be able to face the real facts in the field. This study aims to examine and analyze social studies learning in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. The method used in this writing is a literature study with a systematic review. Systematic review is used to determine the condition of various research related to social studies learning in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia. A total of 31 data taken from the Google Scholar database which has been refined with 4 stages (Identification, Screening, Eligibility, and Included). The results of this writing can be written in several points in planning social studies learning in the independent curriculum, teachers prepare relevant modules and designs to guide students to think critically and contextually, in implementation using relevant models and strategies, in assessment used at the beginning and during the learning process to achieve the goals or competencies of learning, the character of students appears through integration into planning, culture and habits and even teachers as role models, the use of relevant teaching materials and materials to develop social problem solving skills and the use of media in improving quality and increasing active and participatory abilities, in its implementation is constrained by teacher readiness, human resources, and technology use.
