Abstract

This study explores the relationship between MSME souvenir governance and souvenir center governance in the context of supporting regional tourism in Jambi Province, Indonesia. The research addresses the challenges faced by MSME operators in accessing souvenir centers, such as limited skills, high raw material costs, and insufficient marketing knowledge, which hinder the overall tourism experience. To address these issues, this study develops a governance model based on key indicators that influence the efficiency and effectiveness of both MSME vendors and souvenir centers. The study employs a quantitative research approach, using purposive sampling to gather data from 100 MSME operators and souvenir center managers. The data is analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS software to evaluate the relationship between governance variables. The findings reveal that Product Quantity is the most influential factor in MSME souvenir governance, indicating that business actors must focus on maintaining consistent product supply. Meanwhile, Distance is the most significant indicator for souvenir center governance, highlighting the importance of strategic locations to attract customers. The study concludes that the governance practices of MSME souvenir vendors positively impact the governance of souvenir centers. This research provides valuable insights into improving governance structures in the souvenir industry, promoting better collaboration between MSME vendors and souvenir centers to support sustainable business growth.

Abstract

A person's life satisfaction will also be determined by the current financial condition he or she has or what is more often called financial satisfaction. This research aims to determine the influence of Financial Literacy, Financial Solvency, and Risk Tolerance on the Financial Satisfaction of Generation Z in Jambi City. This research is quantitative in nature and the research data used is primary data. The population used is Generation Z over 20 years old and already have their own income, amounting to 103,144 people. Sampling used the Slovin formula with a percentage of 10% with a total of 100 respondents. Data collection was carried out through validity and reliability tests, R-Square tests and hypothesis testing with bootstrapping using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The research results show that Financial Literacy, Financial Solvency, and Risk Tolerance have a positive and significant effect on Financial Satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of e-Filing system implementation and public understanding of the internet on individual taxpayers' compliance in submitting annual tax returns (SPT). The study focuses on individual taxpayers registered at KPP Pratama Jambi Telanaipura. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, with a total of 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaire distribution and analyzed using the WarpPLS software. The results show that e-Filing and internet literacy have a significant positive effect on individual taxpayer compliance. This study contributes to increasing taxpayer compliance through the optimization of the e-Filing system and internet literacy. Furthermore, the findings serve as an evaluation of e-Filing effectiveness and a basis for service improvements.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of dividend policy, debt policy, and profitability on firm value in companies included in the LQ-45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2019-2022. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The population of the study consists of companies included in the LQ-45 group and listed on the IDX from 2019 to 2022. The sample was determined using the purposive sampling method, with a population of 45 companies, resulting in a sample of 19 companies, and thus, the research data amounts to 76 data points. The data used in this study are quantitative data collected through documentation methods via the official IDX website: www.idx.co.id. The results of the study indicate that, based on simultaneous testing (F test), there is a significant effect of the variables Dividend Policy (X1), Debt Policy (X2), and Profitability (X3) simultaneously on Firm Value (Y). However, based on partial testing (t test), the Dividend Policy (X1) variable does not have a significant effect on Firm Value (Y), the Debt Policy (X2) variable does not have a significant effect on Firm Value (Y), and Profitability has a significantly positive effect on Firm Value (Y).

Abstract

This study examines the effect of implementing the New Normal to improve the Indonesian economy during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In this study, the author uses purposive sampling which is incorporated in the LQ- 45 in the 2020 period. This study aims to determine the effect of abnormal returns and trading volume activity on the announcement of the implementation of the New Normal phase on LQ-45. The observation period is 11 days and the research period is H-5 before the announcement of the implementation of the New Normal phase, H-0 when the announcement of the implementation of the New Normal phase and H+5 after the announcement of the implementation of the New Normal phase. The method used in this research is the event study method. While the test equipment used is the one sample t-test and paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that there are abnormal returns during the event window. But there is no difference in abnormal return and trading volume activity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media sosial dan penggunaan teknologi terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM Batik Jambi di Kampung Jelmu dan Ulu Gedong Kecamatan Pelayangan Kota Jambi periode 2018-2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji asumsi klasik dan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan alat analisis SPSS. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik sampling jenuh (sensus), yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel bila semua anggota populasi digunakan sebagai sampel yaitu sebanyak 12 UMKM. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan media sosial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM Batik secara parsial. Penggunaan teknologi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM Batik secara parsial. Kemudian secara simultan variabel penggunaan media sosial dan penggunaan teknologi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja keuangan UMKM Batik.Kata Kunci: Media Sosial, Teknologi, Kinerja Keuangan

Abstract

Literasi keuangan dapat didefinisikan tentang bagaimana tingkat pemahaman seorang individu mengenai pengelolaan keuangan. Pendapatan merupakan penghasilan yang diterima seseorang atas hasil yang telah dikerjakan sebelumnya. Pendapatan dan Literasi keuangan adalah faktor penting dalam suatu pengambilan keputusan investasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana variabel dependen dalam hal ini adalah Literasi keuangan dan Pendapatan mempengaruhi variabel independen yakni Keputusan Investasi pada karyawan Perum BULOG Kanwil Jambi yang berjumlah 37 orang. Data diambil dengan menggunakan metode penyebaran kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Regresi Linear Berganda. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel literasi keuangan secara parsial tidak memberikan pengaruh pada keputusan investasi namun pendapatan memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keputusan investasi. Sedangkan hasil pengujian pengaruh variabel yang dilakukan secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh literasi keuangan dan pendapatan terhadap keputusan investasi (studi kasus karyawan Perum BULOG Kanwil Jambi).

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the marketing performance of UMKM Keripik Singkong Bu Wati through assistance in branding using social media and packaging design. Keripik Singkong Bu Wati offers healthy cassava chips without preservatives in two flavors: original and sweet spicy. The main goal is to address branding and marketing challenges by focusing on product packaging development, assistance in business permit issuance, strategic market collaboration recommendations, and social media management. The methodology used includes needs analysis through interviews and direct observations, collaboration with a design team to create attractive packaging, and social media management training. The results of this study show significant improvements in product packaging quality, legal compliance, market access, and active presence on social media. These improvements have led to increased competitiveness and business growth for UMKM Keripik Singkong Bu Wati. In conclusion, the branding and marketing strategies implemented in this research have had a positive impact on the visibility and market reach of Keripik Singkong Bu Wati, strengthening relationships with consumers. This approach can be applied to other UMKMs to help them thrive in a competitive market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini akan melihat bagaimana reaksi pasar terhadap pengumuman akuisisi Pada Perusahaan Yang Terdaftar Di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2019 – 2023. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan yang melakukan Akuisisi pada periode 2019-2023 yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 23 perusahaan. Data didapatkan dari Bursa Efek Indonesia dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Kemudian data dilakukan perhitungan abnormal return. Alat uji yang digunakan adalah SPSS Statistics 29.0.2.0. Pengujian dilakukan berdasarkan uji t satu arah (one-tailed t-test). Uji Hipotesis Statistik dimungkinkan dengan menggunakan dua metode yaitu paired sample T-Tests dan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan Tidak terdapat reaksi yang signifikan pada saham perusahaan dan tidak terdapat perbedaan abnormal return sebelum dan sesudah pengumuman akuisisi periode 2019- 2023 pada perusahaan yang terdapat di Bursa Efek Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and the use of digital payment on the consumptive behavior of Generation Z. The object of this research is undergraduate students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Jambi University from the 2021–2024 cohorts. The study employs a quantitative approach using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale and distributed via Google Form. A total of 100 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula from a population of 3,131 students. The results show that: (1) financial literacy has a negative and significant effect on consumptive behavior; (2) lifestyle has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior; and (3) digital payment also has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior. These findings imply that improving financial literacy can reduce consumptive behavior, whereas a consumptive lifestyle and the ease of digital payment tend to increase such behavior.
