Abstract

Fasilitas kesehatan yang layak merupakan salah satu hal yang sulit untuk didapatkan oleh wali murid SBSM yang kebanyakan merupakan masyarakat Indonesia undokumen dan menyebabkan masalah kesehatan berupa rendahnya derajat kesehatan mereka. Pengetahuan dan pemahaman mereka terhadap kesehatan dan penyakit kronis yang kurang juga berdampak pada rendahnya derajat kesehatan yang mereka miliki. Selama ini, wali murid SBSM jarang mendapatkan edukasi dan pelayanan kesehatan yang menunjang derajat kesehatan mereka. Sebagai kontribusi nyata, mahasiswa KKN Internasional UM 2022 memberikan kontribusi berupa edukasi dan pengecekan kesehatan gratis untuk wali murid SBSM 5 Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan wali murid SBSM terhadap penyakit kronis dan memberikan layanan fasilitas kesehatan secara gratis kepada wali murid SBSM. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan edukasi penyakit kronis dan pengecekan kesehatan meliputi (1) pendataan peserta edukasi dan pengecekan kesehatan, (2) pengecekan tekanan darah, (3) pengecekan gula darah, kolesterol, dan asam urat dan (4) edukasi penyakit kronis. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan dampak berupa peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman wali murid SBSM dan meningkatkan derajat kesehatan wali murid SBSM dengan pengembangan pengetahuan mereka mengenai penyakit kronis. Kata kunci—Edukasi Kesehatan, Masyarakat Indonesia Undokumen, Penyakit Kronis, SBSM 5 Gombak Abstract Proper health facilities are one of the things that are difficult to obtain for parents of SBSM students, most of whom are undocumented Indonesians and cause health problems in the form of their low health status. Their lack of knowledge and understanding of health and chronic disease also has an impact on the low degree of health they have. So far, parents of SBSM students have rarely received education and health services that support their health status. As a real contribution, UM 2022 International KKN students contributed in the form of education and free health checks for parents of SBSM 5 Gombak students, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of SBSM parents abaout chronic diseases and to provide free health care services to SBSM parents. The method used is chronic disease education and health checks including (1) data collection of education participants and health checks, (2) checking blood pressure, (3) checking blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid and (4) chronic disease education. This community service activity had an impact in the form of increasing the knowledge and understanding of SBSM student parents and improving the health status of SBSM student parents by developing their knowledge about chronic diseases. Keywords—Health Education, Undocumented Indonesian People, Chronic Disease, SBSM 5 Gombak Service

Abstract

Sebagai bagian dari perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi game dapat dijadikan media untuk belajar bahasa asing, dalam hal ini bahasa Mandarin. Game yang berbasis interaktif dan edukatif dengan platform online salah satunya adalah aplikasi “ChineseSkill”. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan aplikasi “ChineseSkill” dan respons pebelajar Bahasa Mandarin terhadap penerapan aplikasi “ChineseSkill” sebagai penunjang keterampilan menyimak dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan hasil wawancara. Sebanyak 26 orang mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin Universitas Negeri Malang merupakan sumber data penelitian. Observasi dan wawancara digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Data selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan tahapan dari Miles & Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan aplikasi “ChineseSkill” terlaksana baik ditunjang dengan rancangan fitur yang dapat diatur sedemikian rupa, dan sesuai tahapan dalam pembelajaran. Dari segi interaktif dan edukatif “ChineseSkill” terbukti menjadi media penunjang pembelajaran. Pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin menjadi lebih efektif dan variatif. Respons positif mahasiswa terhadap aplikasi ChineseSkill ditekankan pada keunggulan media dalam pemecahan masalah pembelajaran sehari-hari. Aplikasi ini dapat mengatasi keterbatasan mahasiswa pebelajar secara ruang dan waktu

Abstract

The quality education process in learning foreign languages, mainly German, must be supported by learning media. To improve vocabulary knowledge about German Artikel with the Haustiere theme needs to be supported by "Barcode-Karten" as the purpose of this research. Multimedia-based learning media utilizes audio, text, and images by combining barcodes, links, and tools with that students are interested in finding out, interacting, and communicating. Borg and Gall's research and development model was modificated in this study. The validation and trial phases have been carried out on the development of Barcode-Karten media. Quantitative data in the form of assessment scores with a Likert scale and qualitative data were obtained from criticism and suggestions through questionnaires to validators and students of class XI Cross-Interest German Language at SMA Laboratorium UM. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The function of this media can bring out the desire and motivation and positively influence on students' vocabulary mastery. In addition, Barcode-Karten is worthy of being a learning medium to improve the knowledge of German vocabulary with the Haustiere theme.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of a learning media titled "DeBuTon Sounding Book" designed to support the learning of Ger- man at A1 level. Learning media has a crucial role in creating an attractive and fun learning environment. The development of "DeBuTon Sounding Book" is in accordance with technological ad- vances and serves as a tool in achieving educational goals. The purpose of this research involves a description of the use of "DeBuTon Sounding Book" as well as an understanding of student responses to the media. The research method used the ADDIE model which involves the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Through the analysis and evalu- ation stages, this article provides an overview of the development of "DeBuTon Sounding Book" learning media to support the learn- ing of German language at A1 level. Overall, this article aims to contribute to improving the quality of German language learning at the high school level as well as proposing ideas for developing more attractive learning media according to students’ needs. Abstract

The women's community involved in SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) in Benjor Village is a phenomenon of housewives seeking livelihoods not only out of necessity but also due to willingness, ability, and available job opportunities, as well as access to these opportunities. Such a tradition is one of the many economic activities that communities can engage in by harnessing resources that rely on ideas and knowledge as the primary factors in their economic activities. Sambal Bakar (grilled chili sauce) is a flagship product in one of the regions in Malang Regency that utilizes agricultural raw materials to create a creative culinary product, predominantly made by women. However, it has not been managed properly according to the target market with a profit-oriented approach. The objective of this community service activity is to enhance the skills of the community, especially women, in (1) commercial production of Sambal Bakar and branding of the product based on quality standards, including brand naming and product distinctiveness, and (2) utilizing social media. The method employed in this activity includes needs assessment, implementation, and mentoring/recommendations. Data analysis follows the simultaneous 6P stages technique by Winarno & Robfiah, which comprises approach, exploration, deepening, matching, interpretation, and presentation. The results of the activity indicate that the women's community is skilled in producing the distinctive "Pawon Benjor" Sambal Bakar. Furthermore, the branding of the Sambal Bakar product as a business identity that sets it apart from competitors is achieved through brand naming and the creative and innovative distinctiveness of the product, such as using pottery for grilling. Additionally, Instagram social media is utilized in business development.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh tim pengabdian masyarakat Universitas Negeri Malang yang dilakukan di Sanggar Bimbingan SMP Pondok An-Nadhloh Tanjung Sepat, Selangor Malaysia bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam membimbing siswa Sanggar Bimbingan SMP An-Nadhloh agar bisa melakukan kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan baik selama menempuh Pendidikan pada Sanggar Bimbingan tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan berupa kegiatan pengenalan layanan UKS (Unit Kesehatan Sekolah) kepada siswa Sanggar Bimbingan yang bertujuan agar para siswa mengetahui pentingnya menjaga Kesehatan pada lingkungan Sanggar Bimbingan. Dari kegiatan pengabdian tersebut ditemukan hasil jika beberapa siswa mempunyai masalah Kesehatan yang mayoritas adalah tekanan darah tinggi. Tekanan darah tinggi akan menyebabkan masalah Kesehatan lanjutan yang serius apabila tidak segera dilakukan pencegahan. Dari hasil tersebut ada beberapa penyebab yang terjadi, seperti contohnya adalah kurangnya kegiatan olahraga dan konsumsi makanan yang tidak sehat. Beberapa solusi telah ditemukan untuk memperbaiki pola hidup di Sanggar Bimbingan tersebut antara lain adalah merubah menu makanan untuk sarapan, makan siang dan makan malam serta melakukan olahraga rutin minimal 1 minggu sekali. Saran untuk lanjutan kegiatan peningkatan derajat Kesehatan ini adalah dibentuknya ekstrakurikuler PMR(Palang Merah Remaja)  yang bisa membimbing para siswa untuk menerapkan pola hidup sehat di Sanggar Bimbingan SMP Pondok An-Nadhloh. Abstract: The community service activities carried out by the Malang State University community service team were carried out at the Pondok An-Nadhloh Tanjung Sepat Middle School Guidance Studio, Selangor Malaysia aim to improve students' abilities in guiding students of the An-Nadhloh Middle School Guidance Studio so they can carry out teaching and learning activities well while studying at the Guidance Studio. The community service activities carried out were in the form of an introduction to School Medical Room services for Guidance Studio students which aims to make students aware of the importance of maintaining health in the Guidance Studio environment. From these community service activities, it was found that some students had health problems, the majority of which were high blood pressure. High blood pressure will cause further serious health problems if it is not immediately prevented. From these results several causes occur, such as an example is the lack of sports activities and the consumption of unhealthy foods. Several solutions have been found to improve the lifestyle in the Guidance Studio, including changing the food menu for breakfast, lunch, also dinner and doing regular exercise at least once a week. Suggestions for continuing this activity to increase the degree of health is the establishment of the Youth Red Cross extracurricular which can guide students to adopt a healthy lifestyle at the Pondok An-Nadhloh Middle School Guidance Workshop.

Abstract

Effective budget management is pivotal for any institution, acting as a linchpin for informed decision-making. Central to this study is the exploration of how document-based budget management applications can substantially augment the quality of institutional performance. Specifically, this research focuses on the Jalan Kebun Tutoring Center, which serves the children of Indonesian expatriates employed in Selangor, Malaysia. The chosen methodological approach for this study is applied research via a case study format. Data interpretation relies on comparative descriptive analysis. The research progression encompasses several stages: needs identification, application development, testing, results revision, and, finally, implementation. The findings underscore the escalating demand for a dedicated application to streamline financial accounting processes. This urgency is heightened by the expansive growth of institutions and the increasing demand from various stakeholders for transparent financial reporting. Notably, the pilot testing of the application affirmed its capacity to bolster speed, precision, and efficiency in disseminating crucial financial information to relevant parties. An essential recommendation stemming from this study is the potential integration of this financial application with academic processes. Such an integration could present a holistic view, offering comprehensive information that bridges both academic and financial spheres, ensuring a unified institutional management approach.

Abstract

Background: Sengon is a fast-growing plant harvested 5-7 years after planting and is easily attacked by termites, so it needs to be preserved. Siwalan fruit husks and corn cobs are usually thrown away without being processed into useful products, even though these materials contain lignin, cellulose, and phenolics, which have the potential to act as anti-termite substances. To determine the potential of liquid smoke from siwalan husk and corn cob waste as a preservative for sengon wood ( Paraserianthes falcataria). Methods: This research was conducted at the Biology Laboratory, Campus 3, PGRI University, Semarang, in September 2023. The research method was RAL (Completely Randomized Design) 9 treatments with three repetitions, namely: P0 (control), 5% liquid smoke from palm fruit husk waste (P1), 10% (P2), 15% (P3), and 20% (P4). Next, corn cob liquid smoke was 5% (P5), 10% (P6), 15% (P7), and 20% (P8). Results: The best increase in wood density was treatment P8, P1, P2, P5, P0, P3, P4, P6, and P7. The best increase in water content of sengon wood is in formulas P8, P4, P2, P6, P7, P1, P0, P5, and P3. The concentration of corncob liquid smoke contains the highest total Cr and dissolved Fe compounds compared to distilled water and liquid smoke from siwalan fruit peel waste, so it can potentially preserve sengon wood. Conclusions: liquid smoke from siwalan fruit peel and corn cob waste can be used as a preservative for sengon wood.

Abstract

This research aims to design a management information system application based on the needs of internal administrative services, as well as testing the level of effectiveness of its application on service quality to support a culture of quality education, as well as assessing the constraints and challenges in the process of implementing the system based on aspects of human resources, facilities, and policy support. This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach, with IPPPE stages (Identification of needs, Design, Testing, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection is in the form of questionnaire sheets for expert validators and users. The results showed that (1) the design of the management information system features a registration module, student and teacher data management module, grade management module, and financial management module. (2) The information system application developed has a high level of feasibility, as well as a level of effectiveness in supporting the accuracy and speed of service to internal management parties and supporting the culture of quality education. (3) There are several obstacles and challenges in the process of implementing management information systems, namely technical constraints and challenges, and user adaptation which includes the limited ability of application managers, limited infrastructure, and the need for future system development to integrate with the learning field.

Abstract

The research aims to design and develop a German vocabulary learning application that can facilitate the learning process forstudents. The methodology used is Research and Development (R&D) by adopting the ADDIE research model, which includes thestages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collected comprises both qualitative andquantitative data through the distribution of questionnaires to the research subjects, which include 11th-grade languagestudents at SMAN 6 Malang, as well as material experts, media experts, and observers. The validation of the Deutsch Bildereducational vocabulary game application was conducted by media and material experts, resulting in an "A" rating, indicating theapplication's validity and feasibility as a supplementary medium for A1-level German language learning.
