Abstract

Desa Sumberdem memiliki potensi besar untuk berkembang menjadi destinasi wisata unggulan di Kabupaten Malang. Namun, potensi tersebut belum dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal tanpa dukungan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten, khususnya dalam bidang pelayanan dan pemanduan wisata. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat lokal melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan pemandu wisata (tour guide). Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif, di mana masyarakat dilibatkan secara aktif pada setiap tahapan kegiatan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dan wawancara untuk mengukur peningkatan kompetensi peserta. Program pelatihan difokuskan pada empat aspek utama: (1) penguatan pengetahuan tentang sejarah, budaya, dan geografi lokal; (2) pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi dan teknik storytelling; (3) pemahaman mengenai etika dan standar pelayanan tour guide profesional; serta (4) praktik simulasi pemanduan wisata di lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, yang ditunjukkan melalui evaluasi kinerja praktik lapangan. Para peserta tidak hanya mampu memandu wisatawan secara lebih baik, tetapi juga berperan sebagai agen promosi bagi keunikan Desa Wisata Sumberdem. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan tour guide menjadi strategi penting dalam memperkuat daya saing desa wisata berbasis komunitas dan mendukung pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini adalah perlunya pendampingan berkelanjutan, penyusunan modul pemanduan berbasis potensi lokal, serta replikasi program di desa-desa wisata lain di Kabupaten Malang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development process of the BRIX application based on the Construct 3 platform for German language learning with gamification integration. This research employs a research and development (R&D) approach with a descriptive qualitative method and utilizes the Waterfall development model, which consists of five stages: needs analysis, design and development, application development, verification, and application launch. The research data were obtained through observations during the needs analysis stage and questionnaires during the trial phase, involving students from SMAN 1 Bululawang as research subjects. The result of this study is the BRIX application product, which is a type of learning media in the form of a 2D platformer and role-playing game (RPG). The gamification elements integrated into BRIX are designed to encourage student motivation in the German language learning process, equipped with game features such as characters, points, scores, and exercises that focus on reading (lesen) and listening (hören) skills at the A1 GER level.

Abstract

This development research aims to develop a product in the form of digital e-comic Kulturunterschiede as a medium for learning German culture. The purpose of developing this e-comic is to provide a visualization of cultural differences between Indonesia and Germany. The digital e-comic Kulturunterschiede contains cultural learning in the form of comics that contain Indonesian culture and German culture, besides that, it also presents practice questions. The development of this e-comic is expected to train reading (lesen), and speaking (sprechen) skills. The method used in this research is research and development with a research model following the Richey, Klein and Nelson type one model. The author uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques with the target users being Malang State University students who have taken Landeskunde courses. Further development of this e-comic is to develop with more diverse and interactive topics, as well as further research on the effectiveness of comics as a medium for learning German.

Abstract

This study was conducted to explore and describe the clarity, the naturalness, the emotional expressions and the styles used in the translation of Hansel and Gretel fairytale. The data were collected through document analysis and analysed by using three main steps, namely data reduction, data display, and data conclusion and verification. The results showed that (1) there are many forms which are not clear and not easy to understand; (2) there are many forms which are correct grammatically but not natural; (3) emotion is expressed through words, phrases and sentences which describe anger, fear, sadness, joy and calmness; and (4) there are five styles used by the translator: simile, hyperbol, assonace, repetition and personification.

Abstract

This study examines the process of improving the quality of pottery products from Pagelaran village in Malang mainly by improving the traditional combustion process. The traditional pottery craftsmen in this area have faced issues with both the aesthetic values and quality standard of their products, even having defective products due to poor processes. Despite these challenges, pottery craft in Pagelaran is considered a cultural heritage that has contributed to the welfare of craftsmen and the local community, as well as the preservation of local wisdom. To improve the quality of their products, the craftsmen in Pagelaran have focused on the way they use tools and materials, the technical production process by linking technology and the environment, the method used, and the effect on future environmental changes. This study employs a descriptive qualitative and action research, which involves the craftsmen community in Kampung Edukasi Wisata. Data is collected through observation and in-depth interviews and analyzed using the 6P simultaneous stages technique proposed by Winarno and Robfiah (2020). The findings of the study show that while the tools and materials used in the pottery production are still traditional, the pottery of Pagelaran is leading to innovative aesthetic products. Pottery production activities have an impact on the physical environment, requiring technology, methods, and cultural impact in the exploitation of the environment under the cultural ecology perspective. Despite the traditional production process, it has been integrated with user demands so that the quality of the product is improved through the standardization of the combustion process, product decoration, and additional touches of aesthetic values on the products. Overall, this study provides insights into how traditional craftsmen can improve their product quality through a focus on both the technical production process and cultural impact.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the various stereotypes, prejudices, and ethnocentrism that appear in the characters of the novel Generation Golf. A qualitative approach was applied in this research. The note-reading technique was used for data collection, and the data were analyzed using domain analysis. The results indicate that various forms of stereotypes, prejudices, and ethnocentric attitudes are present. The stereotypes identified include both negative and positive types; the prejudices appear in the form of negative feelings, beliefs, and actions; and ethnocentric attitudes are expressed through the attribution of German culture in comparison with other nations.

Abstract

Pembangunan pariwisata di Indonesia, khususnya di Desa Sumberdem, Kecamatan Wonosari, Kabupaten Malang, merupakan aspek penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pendampingan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (POKDARWIS) dalam pengelolaan destinasi wisata berkualitas melalui penyusunan paket wisata yang berbasis edukasi. Dengan memanfaatkan potensi lokal, seperti produk pertanian dan budaya, tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini ialah untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan pendapatan dan menarik lebih banyak wisatawan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah mengidentifikasi awal, analisis dan juga perencanaan, pelaksanaan pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas POKDARWIS dalam tata kelola destinasi wisata, serta pembuatan Leaflet Paket wisata desa sebagai alat promosi, dan booklet untuk media pembelajaran wisatawan, serta peta wisata untuk menunjukan alur wisatawan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kerjasama antara masyarakat dan stakeholder untuk mengembangkan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan. Pendampingan yang konsisten diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pengelola dan kualitas produk wisata di Desa Sumberdem. Kegiatan ini berhasil menciptakan sinergi antara lembaga pendidikan tinggi dan masyarakat, serta mendorong partisipasi aktif dalam pengembangan destinasi wisata yang berkualitas.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial learning in higher education increasingly requires students to design and implement product innovations relevant to their disciplinary contexts. In German Departments, entrepreneurship-oriented courses integrate language competence with business thinking, challenging students to transform ideas into feasible products while addressing practical constraints. This study employed a descriptive qualitative design involving students enrolled in Teacherpreneurship and Unternehmendeutsch courses in the 2023/2024 academic year. Data were collected through observation sheets, performance assessments, and questionnaires, and analyzed using data reduction, display, and verification techniques. Student product innovation followed three stages: planning, development, and implementation. The planning stage emphasized structured discussions, case analyses, and exercises to formulate business visions and missions. The development stage produced prototypes and written business plans, while the implementation stage resulted in goods and service-based products. Nine categories of obstacles were identified, encompassing conceptual, technical, and operational challenges. Despite these difficulties, students demonstrated effective problem identification and analysis, receptiveness to feedback, improved data utilization, and adaptability. The findings indicate that students developed adequate entrepreneurial competencies, particularly in problem-solving, adaptive thinking, and the use of feedback. These results highlight the effectiveness of integrating entrepreneurship into language education, while also underscoring the need for targeted support to address implementation barriers.

Abstract

Learning and mastering multiple languages is very useful for future careers, including learning Mandarin. This is because China is an economically superior country that has a major impact on the global economy, including Indonesia. Many large companies in Indonesia have business relations with China so large companies currently need workers who can speak Mandarin. This research aims to describe the mistakes in using adverbs 就, to describe the mistakes in using adverbs 才, and to describe the factors that cause mistakes in using adverbs 就 and 才 in a sentence. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The researcher found several mistakes made by students when carrying out student performance tests, besides that the researcher also found several factors that caused students to make mistakes in using the adverbs jiù and cái. So the researcher is interested in conducting a study entitled "Analysis of Errors in the Use of Adverbs 就 (jiù) and 才 (cái) in Class XI IPS 5 Students of SMA Negeri 6 Malang".

Abstract

The dynamics of the educational transition from online to offline learning continue to be a topic of discussion to this day. The educational conditions affected by the pandemic were experienced not only by students but also by teachers and schools from both social and emotional perspectives. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of hybrid learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and offline learning in the post-pandemic period, as well as to analyze the impact of the transition from online to offline learning after the pandemic. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research method. The data sources consisted of both primary and secondary data. The Miles and Huberman model was used as the data analysis technique in this research on learning transition. The study was conducted in Class XI Social Science 5 at SMAN 6 Malang, particularly in the Mandarin language class. The findings revealed that hybrid learning was carried out by combining online and offline systems simultaneously, emphasizing the use of a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) as a platform for documentation and distribution of educational content in schools. The transition from online to offline learning indicated a balanced level of self-efficacy among students. This outcome is categorized as positive, as students were able to manage their strengths and weaknesses effectively in completing school assignments.
