Abstract

This research aimed at improving mathematical literacy among vocational high school students. The subject was students in class X. This qualitative research used tests, observation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews. The result shows that there was a limitation in our brain to process complex contents. Therefore, according to cognitive load theory, in the studying process, the teacher should minimize intrinsic cognitive load and stimulate germane cognitive theory, thus improving students' literacy.

Abstract

The problem of learning in mathematics is because students always look at mathematics is difficult and usually exacerbated by the use of minimal learning aids. It needs to be given a fun learning solution for students to have the motivation and willingness to learn mathematics.  One of them is contextual learning. This research wants to see the extent to which contextual learning is able to improve student learning motivation. This study uses qualitative research with the type of action research class (PTK) using the implementation cycle to see increased motivation and student learning outcomes. The results showed an increase in the motivation percentage of learning to study as a whole for each indicator of the I cycle of 62, 89% to 73.42% motivation to study in cycle II for learning outcomes experienced Increase in high category with gain Sebsar 0.71. Based on the data it has been noted that with contextual learning it is able to improve student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of cooperative learning methods on mathematics learning outcomes at Adiarsa Barat II Elementary School, West Karawang District, Karawang District. This research is a type of quantitative research. The population in this study were grade II students of Adiarsa Barat II Elementary School. The sample in this study amounted to 22. The technique of collecting data through filling tests with Mathematics subjects. Researchers use data analysis techniques, namely statistical calculations. The results of hypothesis testing, there are significant differences between the cooperative learning methods of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) and Mathematics learning outcomes. This was obtained (tcount = 5.813> t table = 2.085) with a significance of 0.05 and n = 22 indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. From the results of this study it can be said there are differences in learning outcomes in Mathematics with cooperative learning methods of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Koopertatif Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model on the mathematical understanding capabilities of elementary school students. This research was conducted at SDN Warung Bambu II East Karawang Sub-District of Karawang Regency. This research is a type of quantitative research. In this study, a sample of 30 people using Simple Random Sampling technique and divided into two groups, namely the experiment group and the control group. The research instruments used are multiple choice. The test is used to measure mathematical comprehension capabilities. The data analysis technique used is statistical calculation. The results of the multiple choice question test validity test in mathematics subjects were obtained 20 items of instruments that were declared valid from 30 instruments tested. The result of the rehab was a value of 0.97. Hypothetical test results, with a degree of signifiability between the Type Two Stay Two Stray cooperative model and the results of mathematical understanding capabilities. It is obtained thitung = 0.514 > ttabel 4,409) with sig = 0.000 > 0.05 and n = 30 indicates that the hypothesis is rejected. From the results of this study can be concluded that there is a perngaruh mathematical understanding capability that uses the Cooperative Model Type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS).

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini Bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil Belajar siswa melalui lingkungan yang berbeda-beda pada setiap siswa. Lingkungan keluarga yang Bereda dalam mendidik anak dirumah mempengaruhi hasil Belajar, Lingkungan Keluarga merupakan lingkungan pendidikan pertama selain pendidikan sekolah dasar. Lingkungan keluarga mengenai aspek fisik maupun non fisik. Faktor-faktor baik dan buruk dari lingkungan keluarga bisa menentukan hasil belajar. Lingkungan keluarga yang mendukung belajar siswa adalah lingkungan yang terkondisi pada saat siswa belajar. Pada lingkungan keluarga yang kurang mendukung belajar siswa, suasana rumah gaduh pada saat siswa belajar, siswa kurang mendapatkan bimbingan belajar dari keluarga dan orang tuanya. Presentase sumbangan kontriusi variabel lingkungan keluarga dengan hasil belajar siswa tersebut sebesar 60% sedangkan sisanya 40% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat hubugan antara lingkungan keluarga denga hasil belajar siswa oleh karna itu, dengan tingginya hasil belajar diharapkan SDN Sertajaya I dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dengan lebih baik. Abstract This study aims to determine student learning outcomes through different environments for each student. Different family environment in educating children at home affects learning outcomes, family environment is the first educational environment besides elementary school education. Family environment regarding physical and non-physical aspects. Good and bad factors from the family environment can determine learning outcomes. A family environment that supports student learning is an environment that is conditioned when students learn. In a family environment that does not support student learning, the atmosphere in the house is noisy when students study, students do not get tutoring from their families and parents. The percentage contribution of the family environment variable contribution to the student's learning outcomes is 60% while the remaining 40% is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. The results of this study prove that there is a relationship between the family environment and student learning outcomes. Therefore, with high learning outcomes, it is hoped that SDNsertajaya I can improve the quality of education better.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the literacy skills students of class X on their math skill. This study used a qualitative approach, the approach that drives meaningful results. To determine the ability of mathematical literacy class X, there were study subjects of 3 people who were selected based on their level of math skills. The determination was based on the categories of low, medium and high. Each subject was given a test and interview questions to determine the literacy skills. The results revealed that subjects with low category were in the second level of mathematics literacy, and subjects with high category were in the third level of mathematical literacy skills. Based on these results, it is necessary to seek strategies in the learning process of mathematics, which allows the improvement of mathematics literacy skills.

Abstract

The current mathematics education is the fruit of past educational debates. First, we examine the past attempts to change the way mathematics is being taught and argue that education is always based on a traditional paradigm. Next try to explain the emergence of a new paradigm that grew out of a combination of theories from cognitive psychology, awareness of the importance of culture for learning, and the belief that students must get meaningful learning. This article discusses theories about paradigms that underlie the learning theory in general education, especially mathematics education. These paradigms include behaviourism, constructivism, critical theory, cognition theory. We discuss some of the implications of this reform related to how mathematics educators might work with math teachers.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan penelitian Matematika telah banyak berubah dalam 50 tahun terakhir. Beberapa perubahan seperti penggunaan teknologi dan komputer, sangat terlihat dan sedang dilaksanakan dalam pendidikan matematika cukup luas. Hal tersebut mempengaruhi cara mengajar matematika dan akan berbeda pada tingkat sekolah menengah dan dan sekolah tinggi. Perubahan yang terjadi dalam penelitian matematika menekankan pada memberikan waktu mengajar lebih untuk beberapa kegiatan matematika non-tradisional seperti desain algoritma, pemodelan, eksperimen dan eksposisi. Kegiatan-kegitan tersebut membutuhkan semua pengetahuan pedagogis dengan kegiatan guru dalam proses situasi belajar mengajar, tentang teori pembelajaran, pendekatan pembelajaran, desain kurikulum, teknik evaluasi, dan hal-hal lain yang relevan. Dan diharapkan berimplikasi terhadap proses pembelajaran, sehingga menghasilkan proses belajar yang efektif. Kata kunci : paradigma kurikulum, kegiatan kurikulum, pengetahuan berbasis pedagogi, trend penelitian matematika.

Abstract

Bahan ajar merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam keefektifan sebuah pembelajaran terlebih di tingkat Perguruan Tinggi. Kurangnya bahan ajar tentunya dapat memengaruhi kualitas pembelajaran. Technopedagogy salah satu dari sekian banyak cara yang bisa memfasilitasi supaya kriteria dan bahan ajar bisa efektif. Maka peneliti tertarik untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar yang berupa buku ajar berbasis technopedagogy pada mata kuliah konsep dasar matematika. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah RnD (Research and Development), sedangkan model penelitian pengembangan yang dipilih adalah  ADDIE. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan pedoman wawancara dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan buku ajar dapat memudahkan proses pembelajaran sehingga membantu pencapaian ketuntasan kompetensi peserta didik
