Abstract

This research is a qualitative research using descriptive research method which aims to explain or describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities in solving questions based on jumping tasks based on students' self-efficacy. The subjects of this study were 3 (three) students from class XI. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, questionnaires and interviews. The instruments used to obtain data were self-efficacy questionnaires, test questions (jumping task-based math problems), and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques in this study include data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) students who have high self-efficacy are able to fulfill the four stages of Polya's problem solving so that their problem solving abilities are high.; (2) students who have moderate self-efficacy are only able to fulfill three stages of Polya's problem solving so that their problem-solving abilities are classified as moderate; (3) students who have low self-efficacy are only able to fulfills one stage of Polya's problem solving so that the problem solving ability is low

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Kajian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Terdapat enam subjek penelitian yang masing-masing mewakili kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah untuk siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 6 level kemampuan literasi matematika, subjek laki-laki dan subjek perempuan dengan kemampuan literasi matematis tinggi dan sedang berada pada level 3. Sementara itu, kemampuan literasi matematis subjek laki-laki dan subjek perempuan dengan kemampuan literasi matematis rendah berada pada level 1.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' mathematics learning activities in terms of self-confidence at UPT SPF SMPN 26 Makassar. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The subjects in this research were students in class VIII 2. Data collection techniques in this research were through questionnaires, observations and interviews. The research instrument consists of the researcher himself, questionnaire sheets, observation sheets, and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques include data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that (1) Students with low self-confidence have sufficient learning activities, this is because subjects with low self-confidence do not have a selfish nature by respecting friends' opinions; (2) Students with moderate self-confidence have good category learning activities, but sometimes feel lazy and embarrassed; (3) Students with high self-confidence have learning activities in the very good category, this is because subjects with high self-confidence are confident in their abilities, are responsible for their duties, dare to express opinions, have good development with an independent attitude and respect other people's opinions.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis masalah terbuka dalam pembelajaran kalkulus yang berkualitas (valid, praktis, dan efektif). Target khusus yang akan dicapai adalah tersedianya bahan ajar kalkulus berbasis masalah terbuka berupa: Satuan Acara Perkuliahan (SAP), Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM), Buku Pegangan Mahasiswa (BPM), dan Tes Kemampuan Kalkulus (TKK). Untuk mencapai target tersebut, proses pengembangan menggunakan Model 4-D (four D Models) dari Thiagarajan (1974) yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: (1) tahap pendefinisian (define), (2) tahap perancangan (design), (3) tahap pengembangan (develop), dan (4) tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Untuk menilai kualitas bahan ajar kalkulus berbasis masalah terbuka yang dikembangkan, digunakan kriteria Nieveen (1999), yaitu memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Untuk keperluan pengujian kualitas, maka bahan ajar diujicobakan pada mahasiswa Jurusan Matematika FMIPA UNM Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bahan ajar berbasis masalah terbuka telah memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, (2) hasil ujicoba menunjukkan: (a) bahan ajar berbasis masalah terbuka telah memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan, (b) bahan ajar berbasis masalah terbuka telah memenuhi kriteria keefektifan.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan penalaran dalam memecahkan masalah dimensi tiga ditinjau dari self-regulated learning siswa dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 6 siswa, yaitu 2 siswa dengan kategori self-regulated learning tinggi, 2 siswa kategori self-regulated learning sedang, dan 2 siswa kategori self-regulated learning rendah. Keenam subjek tersebut adalah siswa kelas XII MAN 3 Bone tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah angket, tes kemampuan penalaran dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Subjek kategori self-regulated learning tinggi mampu memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis yaitu mampu mengajukan dugaan dengan relevan dan jelas, mampu melakukan manipulasi dengan benar, mampu memberikan alasan yang mendukung solusi, mampu menarik kesimpulan dengan relevan dan jelas, mampu melakukan pemeriksaan kesahihan secara menyeluruh dan mampu menemukan pola atau sifat dari gejala matematis yang tepat. Subjek melakukan setiap langkah pemecahan masalah yaitu memahami permasalahan pada soal, menyusun rencana penyelesaian dengan benar, melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian hingga menemukan solusi dari pertanyaan dan memeriksa kembali solusi yang didapatkan. (2) Subjek kategori self-regulated learning sedang memenuhi 4 dari 6 indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis kecuali indikator memberikan alasan yang mendukung solusi dan menemukan pola atau sifat dari gejala matematis yang tepat. Kedua subjek melakukan setiap langkah pemecahan masalah yaitu memahami permasalahan pada soal, menyusun rencana penyelesaian dengan benar, melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian hingga menemukan solusi dari pertanyaan dan memeriksa kembali solusi yang didapatkan. (3) Subjek kategori self-regulated learning rendah memenuhi 3 dari 6 indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis kecuali indikator memberikan alasan yang mendukung solusi, melakukan pemeriksaan kesahihan secara menyeluruh dan menemukan pola atau sifat dari gejala matematis yang tepat. Kedua subjek melakukan 3 dari 4 langkah pemecahan masalah kecuali pada langkah memeriksa kembali.

Abstract

Game development success is often hard to achieve due to various problems such as performance issues, malfunctioning features, and poorly organized program structure. The problems that arise can be prevented by using the design pattern as a game programming architecture from the beginning of development. By implementing a design pattern, the process of developing video games can be made easier and simplified. The development team can focus its efforts on producing better quality video games. In this study, design patterns that would be used are state pattern and finite state machine. The state pattern is implemented by encapsulating the character's behavior in a class called state. Finite state machine will then facilitate the transition of states caused by user/player input or variable value changes. State pattern and finite state machine is tested with test case and game performance is tested with software metric. The result obtained from this study are state pattern and finite state machine have a valid component structure and could improve performance efficiency in video games.

Abstract

Artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) activities in Geumpang, Pidie, are commonly practiced using unsafe and unregulated techniques, exposing local communities to environmental and health risks. This community service activity aimed to introduce metal detector technology to enhance safe and effective gold prospecting while reducing mining-related hazards. The program involved 20 local participants and was implemented using a service-learning approach that combined expert-led technical training with participatory community engagement. Hands-on training using Minelab GPX6000 and GPZ7000 detectors was delivered by international practitioners and academic facilitators. The results indicated a 72% improvement in participant knowledge, 85% tool operation proficiency, and a 70% increase in risk awareness. Furthermore, the community proposed a rotational tool-sharing system, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability. The initiative highlights how contextual technology transfer and collaborative training can contribute to safer mining practices and support sustainable development goals in remote mining communities.

Abstract

In-depth mathematics learning is considered essential because it provides a meaningful, holistic learning experience and allows students to apply knowledge in various life contexts. However, teachers still face challenges in implementing the learning model, so community service activities at the Maros Middle School Mathematics MGMP are directed at revitalizing the learning model so that students gain a more meaningful and in-depth understanding of mathematics. This activity was carried out at SMPN 1 Maros on July 23 2025. The target of this activity was Junior High School Mathematics MGMP (Subject Teachers' Conference) teachers from various schools in Maros. The number of participants was 10 teachers. The activities were carried out in the form of material presentation sessions, questions and answers and discussions, interview simulations, and self-reflection and self-assessment as a form of personal evaluation of participants' knowledge of strengthening learning concepts. The results obtained were that the PkM activities succeeded in increasing the Maros Middle School Mathematics MGMP teachers' understanding of in-depth mathematics learning by emphasizing the importance of the principles of awareness, meaning, joy, as well as the application of learning models such as PBL that are relevant to the classroom context. Through discussions, practical examples, and strengthening the competence of professional teachers, this activity emphasizes the role of teachers as the main driver in realizing mathematics learning that is adaptive, meaningful, and supports 21st century skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pengaruh Kecerdasan Linguistik (KL), Kecerdasan Emosional (KE), Kecerdasan Adversitas (KA) terhadap Hasil Belajar Geometri (HBG) melalui Kecerdasan Spasial (KS) peserta didik Kelas VIII SMPIT Nurul Fikri Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis ex-post facto dengan variabel eksogen dalam penelitian ini adalah KL,KE, dan KA, variabel intervening yaitu KS, serta variabel endogen yaitu HBG. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Nurul Fikri Makassar, ukuran sampel yang digunakan yaitu 105 peserta didik. Sampel ditentukan dengan systematica random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial dengan menggunakan metode analisis Structural equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KL dan HBG berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. KE, KA, dan KS berada pada kategori tinggi. Selanjutnya, kami menemukan bahwa KA memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara langsung terhadap KS, sedangkan KL dan KE memiliki pengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap KS namun tidak signifikan. Selanjutnya KL, KE, KA, dan KS memiliki pengaruh positif secara langsung dan signifikan terhadap HBG. Kemudian untuk pengaruh tidak langsungnya, KL dan KE berpengaruh positif dan signifikan secara tidak langsung terhadap HBG melalui KS, sedangkan KA berpengaruh positif secara tidak langsung terhadap HBG melalui KS namun tidak signifikan.
