Abstract

Hypertension is one of the main problems in public health in Indonesia and the world. It is estimated that around 80% of cases of hypertension occur mainly in developing countries in the year 2025 from a total of 639 million cases in 2000. Problems faced by partners at this time include people in the village of Prevention rarely conducted health counseling by the Puskesmas especially about Hypertension, none Posyandu for the elderly and the community rarely exercise regularly. This community service activity was carried out in the village of Enforcement which is one of the villages located in Pelawan sub-district, Sarolangun District, Jambi. Time of implementation in February 2018. The target is the elderly.The methods used were survey, lecture, discussion, demonstration / simulation approaches. The results of this program is prevention for parents where they are able to understand of  the management and prevention of hypertension. It is recommended for Health Officers, especially in Puskesmas, to activate posyandu for the elderly so that the elderly can get health services regularly and get more information about health problems.

Abstract

The habit of smoking in Indonesia was found to have started since childhood. According to the 2018 Riskesdas, the percentage of smoking behavior in school-age adolescents (age 10-18) was recorded at 9.1 percent, an increase from Riskesdas, which was 7.2 percent. WHO also explained that 30% of the world's population who smoke are teenagers. The purpose of this community service is to increase adolescent knowledge about the dangers of smoking and to change adolescent behavior towards a healthy lifestyle (healthy without smoking). The methods of service applied are lectures, discussions, role plays. Community service activities were carried out from October 2022 to January 2023 with 30 students at SMP N 8 Jambi City. Results obtained. there was an increase in students' knowledge after being given health education about the dangers of smoking. By 93.3%. Parents / families pay more attention to growth and development and pay more attention to their children who have reached their teens, especially avoiding smoking behavior

Abstract

The healthy living community movement (GERMAS) aims to increase awareness, willingness and the ability of people to behave in an effort to improve the quality of life. GERMAS is carried out as a reinforcement of community promotive and preventive efforts. Some observations made on the dasawiwma group do not have a family medicinal plant (TOGA) yet, partners are very hopeful that the provision of health education to the dasawisma group in order to better understand the benefits of TOGA. This dedication activity has been carried out in Kenali Asam Bawah Kelurahan with the target of dasawisma and the community, carried out in Juny 2019. Through this service the team facilitated, assisted the homeless and residents in identifying, identifying, and coping with public health problems. The team also helped prepare toga, demonstrations in making drinks from celery and soursop leaves, Provision of posters / booklets

Abstract

The highest incidence of cancer in Indonesia occurs in women: breast cancer and cervical cancer. The risk of breast cancer increases with age. Even a young age does not guarantee that it is safe from breast cancer. In basic health research, the highest number of cancer patients was Central Java, with 68,638 people with 11,511 cancer patients. Self-Breast Examination (BSE) is an integral part of every woman's breast examination. Breast self-examination is performed once a month and can be an effective screening instrument for breast lesions. The purpose of this activity is to inform breast cancer, its signs and symptoms, causes, prevention and how to detect breast cancer by means of BSE. This service activity was carried out in November 2019- January 2020, at SMA N 8  Jambi City. The target is 30 students. This activity consists of providing education using power point media, leaflets, posters and videos, as well as demonstrations using models. After education, all students can understand and be able to properly demonstrate BSE techniques. It is recommended that students routinely carry out breast self-exams every month so that they can detect early breast cancer symptoms.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, diarrheal diseases are a major cause of death after respiratory tract infection . There are 7 indicators relating to the prevention of diarrhea, : to give the baby exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding, using clean water, hand washing, use of latrines, Throw feces properly and immunization. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of mothers in the prevention of diarrhea in infants.Methods: This research method is a descriptive study, which aims to describe the characteristics of the mother, knowledge and PHBS mothers in the prevention of diarrhea in infants, this study was conducted in April-July 2016 in Kenali Asam Bawah, the population of all mothers with toddlers aged 1-5 years totaled 56. Analysis data using univariate.Results: The results obtained from 56 mothers who have children know the highest maternal age between 20-30 years old by 30 (53.6%), with a high school education 36 respondents (64.3), a good knowledge of (80.4%), respondents have PHBS :breastfeeding well at (82.1%), complementary foods well at (82.1%), use of latrines well (55.4%), immunization with both (100%).

Abstract

Background:The mortality rate of infants and toddlers in Indonesia is the highest in ASEAN countries. The cause of morbidity and mortality most children today are still caused by pneumonia and diarrhea. Diarrheal disease still is one of the major diseases in infants and children in Indonesia. It is estimated morbidity rate ranged between 150-430 per thousand population annually.Method:This research is a descriptive survey which aims to reveal the mother's knowledge and motivation about the prevention of diarrhea in infants at Puskesmas Putri Ayu 2016. This research was conducted in Puskesmas Putri Ayu Kota Jambi. The population of this research is the average number of monthly children who suffer from diarrhea in 2015 which is an average of 155 childrenand the number of samples in this research as much as 46 respondents. Sampling using accidental sampling technique. The data collectiondone by questionnaire. This research has been conducted on Juni-July 2016. The data analysis is univariateanalysis.Result:The results showed, 34 respondents (73.9%) had very good knowledge, 12 respondents (17%) had good knowledge and 5 respondents had enough knowledge. 32 respondents (91%) have a high motivation on the prevention of diarrhea in infants and low motivation 14 respondents(9%).In this research we can conclude that the knowledge and motivation of mothers on prevention of diarrhea high for the majority, it is advisable for it suggested health officials in order to keep giving information and education programs on the health care of infants and children expecially the prevention of diarrheain infants.

Abstract

Background:Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach lining tissue disorder most often caused by diet. Based on data from the City Health Office of Jambi in Year 2013 in PHC gastritis ranks 4th with the number of visits of 24 213 people. Putri Ayu at the health center of gastritis in the top 10 most prevalent diseases. The aim of research to determine the effect of health education on patients' knowledge about the prevention of relapse over Putri Ayu PHC gastritis in the city of Jambi.Method:This research was conducted at the health center Putri Ayu Jambi, on 22 May 2015 s / d 30 May 2015 where health education was held on Friday 29th May 2015 with respondents as many as 20 patients. This study is a pre experimentdengan draft design one group pretest-posttest. Data obtained by filling out the questionnaire and the analysis of univariate and bivariate by using t-test.Result: of the group who have not given health education (pretest), namely the level of knowledge obtained with the results of the average (mean) = 5.8. Then given treatment in the form of health education and the level of knowledge obtained posttest with the results of the average (mean) = 8.7. Bivariate data analysis by using statistical test obtained t-test p-value = 0.000, the p-value <α (0.05). This shows the significant influence of health education on the knowledge of the respondent.Gastritis patients are advised to eat regularly on the clock the same every day, eat snacks between meals to arrive so that the stomach is not empty, eat less spicy and sour. Caution in using NSAIDs such as aspirin and paracetamol. Must be consumed after meals, rest and managing stress.Keywords : Knowledge, Health Education Prevention of relapse regastritis

Abstract

Health problems that often occur in elementary school age children are diseases related to child and environmental hygiene such as brushing teeth is good and right, the habit of washing hands with soap and personal hygiene. This studi aim to know to  determine whether there is influence of health education to the knowledge of school-aged children about Personal Hygiene at SDN 206 / IV Kota Jambi.  This research is a quantitative research using One Group pretest-posttest design. The research was carried out at SDN 206 / IV Kota Jambi in June 2017. The population is Students SDN 206 / IV Kota Jambi with a sample of 20 students. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis with statistical test of T dependent. The result of this research is p-value = 0,00 <0,05 with difference of mean value -2.35. This indicates there is a significant influence between the knowledge of the respondents before and after being given health education.

Abstract

Indonesia as one of the countries in Asia is a country that experienced an increase in the elderly population rapidly. Survey in 11 Asian countries including Indonesia found 5,052 women suffering from urinary incontinence problems. Along with increasing age, the ability to hold urine is decreasing, so that the elderly have the potential to experience urinary incontinence so intervention is needed to deal with this problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on elderly knowledge in the management of the risk of urinary incontinence. This research is a quantitative research using the One Group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at the Posyandu Kasih in the capital city of Jambi. Sampling technique is accidental sampling, with a sample of 20 respondents, data analysis using univariate and bivariate with T dependen The result of this research that knowledge of the elderly before health education the highest value is 9, the lowest score was 4 with an average overall score of elderly is 6.30. After health education the highest value is 14 and the lowest was 10 with an average overall score of elderly is 12.05. there was an effect of health education on elderly knowledge in the risk management of urinary incontinence in Posyandu Kasih Ibu.

Abstract

The movement of healthy living people is a choice in realizing a better degree of public health. The aim is to increase awareness in the community in preventing disease. Health problems that aries are the result of unhealthy living behaviors and poor environmental sanitation. This research is a descriptive research that is a study directed to describe or describe a situation within a community or society.  The sample in this study were 277 Famillies in Penegah village with total sampling technique. The results is  majority of mothers using family planning, mothers giving birth in health care facilities, babies receiving 100% complete immunization, the majority of mothers giving exclusive breastfeeding, The people not found pulmonary tuberculosis, 100% of hypertensive patients checking periodically, no one suffering from mental disorders, the majority of families there are those who smoke, the majority of families use health insurance / BPJS, the coverage of monitoring for toddlers' growth is 100%, the use of clean water sources and 100% healthy latrines. It is expected that the Puskesmas will further encourage the independence of healthy life for individuals, families, groups and communities through community empowerment so that it becomes a healthy community.
