Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas sistem manajemen kinerja staf tata usaha dalam pencapaian mutu layanan administrasi di madrasah aliyah negeri persiapan 4 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penilitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwaHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan ketatausahaan di MANP 4 Medan melibatkan perumusan tugas dan fungsi layanan administrasi, penetapan tujuan, evaluasi pekerjaan, pengalokasian dana, pengadaan sarana dan prasarana, serta pemecahan masalah. Pelaksanaan ketatausahaan dilakukan dengan baik mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengelolaan, hingga pengawasan. Kegiatan ketatausahaan meliputi administrasi kepegawaian, keuangan, data dan informasi, sarana dan prasarana, serta persuratan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah berfungsinya sistem manajemen ketatausahaan, peningkatan mutu pelayanan administrasi sekolah, serta terjalinnya kerja sama antara pengelola, pendidik dan peserta didik dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the social media-based marketing strategies implemented by MTS Al-Washliyah Km 6 Medan in building a positive image of the institution amidst the increasingly competitive educational institution rivalry. In the digital era, social media has become a strategic means of conveying information, fostering communication, and strengthening the branding of Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving social media managers, school principals, and related stakeholders. The results indicate that utilizing platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp with educational content, promotional activities of the school, as well as testimonials from students and alumni. This strategy is effective in increasing the visibility of schools and shaping a positive perception of the quality of education and Islamic values in the community. This study fills a gap in the literature by examining how Islamic values are integrated into social media marketing for madrassas, a topic that has been less explored in existing research. The findings emphasize that social media marketing can be an important instrument in building a positive image of schools if implemented consistently, communicatively, and in accordance with the characteristics of the audience.

Abstract

In rural educational institutions, various obstacles impede the acquisition of the English language. The difficulties experienced in learning English within these rural schools are intricately linked to the environmental conditions surrounding the students, the proficiency of the English instructor, and the overall educational atmosphere. This research examined the obstacles encountered by students engaged in English language studies in rural educational settings. Two English educators who participated in this qualitative research served as respondents. The results of this investigation indicate that the pursuit of English language proficiency in rural schools continues to encounter a multitude of challenges. The process of learning English proved to be arduous for several reasons, including the students' diminished motivation towards the subject and the insufficient external support, such as encouragement from both parents and the broader community.

Abstract

In general, this study aims to describe (1) the recruitment process used by MAN 1 Medan in the acceptance of new prospective students in (2) the selection process used by MAN 1 Medan in the acceptance of new students (3) the obstacles faced in the recruitment process and selection of prospective new students at MAN 1 Medan (4) efforts made so that the process of recruiting and selecting prospective new students runs effectively and efficiently at MAN 1 Medan. This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological method approach. The subjects of this study were the Principal, members of the PPDB committee and Student WKM. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model. Data validity techniques with credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of the study show the following: (1) The recruitment and selection process includes the formation of a committee, notification of information regarding PPDB has been opened through banners, brochures etc., online registration by attaching the specified files, announcement of file selection, selection of academic tests, selection of Al reading tests -Qur'an and worship practices, announcement of selection graduation, and re-registration. (2) the selection process used includes file selection, academic test selection and selection of tests for reading the Qur'an and worship practices (3) the obstacles that occur during the recruitment and selection process using the online system do not have a big impact. Only small obstacles can then be overcome by the school. (4) The efforts made by the school can minimize obstacles and make the implementation of recruitment and selection run effectively and efficiently. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the recruitment and selection strategy used by Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan in T.P 2019/2020 is file registration, then academic test selection and selection of Al-Qur'an reading tests and worship practices using the online system as a whole in the process.Recruitment and Selection Strategy, New Students, Quality of Education

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP PAB 5 Patumbak pada materi himpunan dan (2) mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa pada materi yang sama. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan partisipan seluruh siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP PAB 5 Patumbak tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes sebanyak dua soal dan wawancara berdasarkan indikator penalaran serta koneksi matematis. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji melalui uji kredibilitas, transferability, dependability, dan konfirmability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berada pada kategori sedang, dengan pencapaian indikator memperkirakan proses penyelesaian serta menggunakan pola dan hubungan untuk menganalisis situasi matematis. Kemampuan koneksi matematis juga berada pada kategori sedang, dengan pencapaian indikator memahami hubungan antar gagasan dalam matematika dan mengenali keterkaitan antarkonsep. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VIII-1 SMP PAB 5 Patumbak belum sepenuhnya mampu mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran dan koneksi matematisnya dalam menyelesaikan soal himpunan.  ABSTRACT This study aims to (1) determine the mathematical reasoning abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP PAB 5 Patumbak on the subject of sets and (2) determine the mathematical connection abilities of students on the same subject. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research with participants consisting of all eighth-grade students at SMP PAB 5 Patumbak in the 2023/2024 academic year. Data were collected through two test questions and interviews based on indicators of mathematical reasoning and connections. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The results of the study indicate that students' mathematical reasoning abilities are in the moderate category, with achievements in the indicators of estimating the solution process and using patterns and relationships to analyze mathematical situations. Mathematical connection abilities are also in the moderate category, with achievements in the indicators of understanding the relationships between ideas in mathematics and recognizing the connections between concepts. These findings indicate that students in class VIII-1 of SMP PAB 5 Patumbak are not yet fully capable of developing their mathematical reasoning and connection abilities in solving set problems.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of teachers towards digital. In the rapidly developing digital era, teachers' ability to utilize information and communication technology (ICT) is crucial not only in the learning process, but also in managing administrative tasks. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach on a number of teachers at MTs Al Washliyah Kuala Silo Bestari TanjungBalai. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of the practice of managing learning administration carried out by teachers. The results of the study show that teachers with a high level of digital literacy tend to be more effective and efficient in completing administrative tasks such as preparing learning plans, managing student grades, making reports, and communicating with related parties. The use of various digital applications and platforms can reduce manual workloads, minimize errors, and speed up workflows. The implication of this study is the importance of improving teachers' digital literacy competencies through ongoing training and mentoring to optimize learning administration management and ultimately improve the overall quality of education. The use of various productivity applications, learning management systems (LMS), and digital communication tools has been shown to reduce dependence on manual methods that are prone to errors and time-consuming. The implications of this study emphasize the urgency of strengthening teachers' digital literacy through ongoing training programs, adequate technical support, and provision of relevant digital resources.
