Abstract

Geography, as a discipline that studies the interaction between humans and the environment, as well as physical phenomena on Earth, plays an important role in developing 4C skills (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity). However, many students still face challenges in applying 4C skills in geography learning. These challenges include a lack of student participation, as seen from their minimal involvement in class discussions, which hinders the development of communication and collaboration skills. This issue is often caused by low self-confidence or insufficient understanding of the material. Additionally, students frequently struggle with critical thinking, particularly in identifying and analyzing complex geographical problems. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with the subjects selected using purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of Class X Phase E 8. Data collection was carried out using assessment rubrics in terms of attitudes, knowledge, and skills to evaluate student activities in creating Mind Maps. The results of this study show that the assessment of Mind Mapping, using the Project-Based Learning model, yielded an overall average score of 81.72, categorized as good, and positively impacted the development of students' 4C skills. Students demonstrated creativity (C6) by creating Mind Maps, which reflect their ability to think critically and creatively, core aspects of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs). Furthermore, they showed improved communication and collaboration abilities in learning, thus achieving the 4C skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the distribution and accessibility of educational field practice (PLK) locations as places where teaching by Geography Education Field Practice students in Padang City. The method used in this research is the euclidean distance method to estimate and reflect the direct distance between the locations of schools by measuring the distance to school points (maximum and minimum) which tend to be the goals of PLK activities in Padang City from 2021 to 2023. Analysis carried out carried out divided into sub-district areas in Padang City. The results of analysis distribution of PLK location selection are spread across several schools in eleven sub-districts. The affordability of location shows that there are differences in the geographical distribution of educational field practice schools in Padang City. Distribution of maximum and minimum distance variations between schools and between different sub-districts through analysis with the help of the Geography Information System. The results of the affordability analysis explain that there is a difference between the maximum and minimum distance between schools and the number of students who choose teaching practice locations from the outermost area of the sub-district. Where areas closer to school points are an option for prospective PLK students.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil penelitian pengembangan instrumen penilaian autentik berbasis pendekatan authentic inquiry learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kolaboarsi, komunikasi, berpikir kreatif dan inovatif, dan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada pembelajaran sosiologi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian R & D, prosedur pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE. Instrumen penilaian autentik yang dikembangkan terdiri dari: instrumen penilaian kognitif (soal tes), penilaian sikap (spiritual dan sosial) berupa instrumen penilaian diri dan teman sejawat, penilaian keterampilan (penilaian kinerja, proyek), pedoman observasi diskusi kelas dan kunjungan lapangan. Validitas instrumen diukur melalui validasi ahli Kelayakan instrumen dianalisis menggunakan formula V Aiken, serta menggunakan koefisien reliabilitas alpha untuk menguji reliabilitas instrument, efektifitas produk pengembangan dilakukan ujicoba kepada guru dan siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Padang semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 yang terdiri dari 35 siswa. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan temuan berikut: (1) Instrumen Penilaian Autentik yang dikembangkasn telah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip pengembangan instrumen pembelajaran, (2) Instrumen penilaian autentik berbasis authentic inquiry learning valid dan dapat diandalkan untuk mengukur aspek kognitif, afektif, dan keterampilan siswa, (3) Hasil penilaian autentik terhadap proses dan hasil belajar siswa membuktikan bahwa pembelajaran sosiologi menggunakan pendekatan authentic inquiry learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, komunikasi, berpikir kreatif dan inovatif, serta berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Dengan demikian, instrumen ini dapat didorong untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran Sosiologi di tingkat sekolah menengah atas untuk mengetahui perkembangan aspek afektif, kognitif, keterampilan siswa, serta memberikan feedback untuk peningkatan mutu pembelajaran.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a model of leadershipmanagerial competence of head of High School in Padangsidimpuan. Theexpected model can be used as a reference for school supervisors inconducting guidance of managerial competence of head of SMAPadangsidimpuan. This research was done using research and development(R and D) by applying the procedural model. The data of this research areconsisted of (1) qualitative data that was obtained from observation,interview, and documentation of the study and it was analyzed usingdescriptive statistics. (2) quantitative data by using questionnaire. Thequalitative data were analyzed using three ways, ie data reduction, datapresentation, and taking conclusions. The findings of this study are (1) Thecoaching is focused on the administrative aspect and has not yet touched themanagerial competence of the principal of SMA Padangsidimpuan and (2)the coaching process has not been done properly. This research resulted amodel of managerial competence development for the head of SMAPadangsidimpuan consisting of two components, namely (1) theidentification instrument of managerial competence and, (2) the steps ofcoaching the managerial competence of the principal of SMAPadangsidimpuan. This model is equipped with a support system thatincludes a program of leadership managerial competence of senior highschool Padangsidimpuan. The test results show that this model is practicaland effective for use in improving the managerial competence of SMAPadangsidimpuan. How well the model of guiding the managerialcompetence of the principal produced will not mean anything if its use doesnot get support from the parties related to the principal guidance inparticular and general education management. It is therefore necessary tosupport the school superintendent to use this model within thePadangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi guru bidang studi geografi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka di sma negeri se-kota padang. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif.. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat diambil suatu kesimpulan untuk skor rata-rata tentang persepsi guru bidang studi geografi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka di SMA Negeri Se-Kota Padang yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran sebesar 4,6 dengan kategori sangat baik, pelaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 4,1 kategori baik dan evaluasi penilaian pembelajaran sebesar 4 kategori baik. Berdasarkan hal diatas disimpulkan persepsi guru bidang studi geografi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka di sma negeri se-kota padang sebesar 4,2 dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”. Secara umum persepsi guru bidang studi geografi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka berdasarkan jenis kelamin memperoleh kategori yang sama yaitu pada indikator perencanaan pembelajaran dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan dalam indikator evaluasi penilaian guru perempuan dalam kategori sangat baik dan laki-laki dalam kategori baik. Persepsi guru geografi dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka berdasarkan lama mengajar pada setiap indikator memperoleh kategori yang sama yaitu pada indikator perencanaan pembelajaran kategori sangat baik, pelaksanaan pembelajaran kategori sangat baik dan evaluasi penilaian pembelajaran kategori sangat baik

Abstract

This research was structured with the aim of students' creativity and learning outcomes using interactive multimedia innovations for class XI IPS 5 SMAN 1 Pasaman, Academic Year 2021/2021. Creativity and learning outcomes are referred to in this study, namely the ability of students to provide an active and creative attitude in learning and the bias to give good learning outcomes during the implementation of learning. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), in which the teacher is the implementer of learning as well as the researcher. This research design uses a model. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year, namely in March. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS 5 consisting of 34 students. The object of research is the creativity and learning outcomes of students. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. The results showed an increase in students' creativity and learning outcomes, namely in the first cycle. In the first cycle, students' learning mastery increased by 70.58% (initial condition 8.82% increased to 70.58%). In the second cycle, with the improvement and modification of learning multimedia, accompanied by the management of group formation and the provision of rewards, student learning outcomes increased by 88.23% (the condition of the first cycle increased 70.58% to 88.23%). Learning achievement in cycle II has met the indicators of success because 75% of students have reached the KKM. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. Abstract

This research aims to find out the percentage of gadgets used by students at Padang City State High School to support geography learning activities and other interests, the use of gadgets influences the process and outcomes of students' geography learning as well as teachers' efforts to overcome the problem of gadget use at Padang City State High School, use gadgets at high school level between the center and the outskirts of Padang City. Using quantitative descriptive methods with purposive sampling techniques. This research data was obtained by interviews, questionnaires, and documentation and then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that the use of gadgets for learning purposes in schools in the city center has a percentage of 71% and schools on the outskirts of Padang City have a percentage of 72%. The use of gadgets for other purposes in schools in the center and on the outskirts of Padang City has the same percentage, namely 76%. The use of gadgets in the learning process and geography learning outcomes of students in schools in the city center and outskirts of Padang City shows the same percentage results, namely 75%. This percentage is included in the high category and does not show a significant difference between central schools and suburban schools. Teachers make curative efforts through outreach activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggambarkan sikap sosial budaya mahasiswa STKIP Ahlussunnah Bukittinggi. Penggunaan metode dilaksanakan dengan studi kepustakaan dengan membandingkan metode dan hasil Penelitian dari Penelitian yang mempunyai topik yang sama. Kemudian hasil Penelitian relevan tersebut diklasifikasikan dan dikelompokkan sesuai dengan tema kajiannya. Hasil Penelitian diperoleh bahwa Sikap sosial budaya terjadi demorasilasi disebabkan oleh penyebaran virus covid-19 yang menimbulkan Perubahan pada proses pembelajaran dan sikap sosial budaya mahasiswa STKIP Ahlussunnah Bukittinggi. Abstract

Abstrak: Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai menghadapi tantangan serius terkait tingginya angka putus sekolah akibat faktor geografis, sosial, dan ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi upaya-upaya strategis yang dapat meningkatkan kesadaran pendidikan dan kecakapan hidup bagi anak-anak putus sekolah di wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melahirkan program yang berperan dalam mengedukasi anak-anak putus sekolah melalui indikator kecakapan hidup, diantaranaya kecakapan mengenal diri (self awarness) atau kemampuan personal (personal skills), kecakapan sosial (social skills), dan kecakapan vokasional (vocational skills). Kami melakukan wawancara dan observasi menyeluruh pada anak-anak desa matobe yang mengalami masalah serius pada jarak sekolah yang mengakibatkan mereka harus putus sekolah. Untuk itu, demi meningkatkan kecakapan hidup anak-anak desa matobe diberikan workshop praktik pembuatan ecoprint sederhana, memberikan sosialisasi pengenalan tentang pendidikan seks, serta kemampuan belajar berbahasa Indonesia yang baik. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yaitu anak-anak desa Matobe bisa memiliki kecakapan hidup diantaranya memiliki keterampilan pengenalan dan pendidikan seks yang berguna untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang kesehatan reproduksi dan hubungan yang sehat, mimiliki kecakapan hidup dengan mampu berbahasa Indonesia yang baik serta memiliki kecakapan membuat bahan produk dari kain dengan teknik ecoprint sederhana.Abstract: Mentawai Islands Regency faces serious challenges related to the high dropout rate due to geographical, social, and economic factors. This study aims to identify strategic efforts that can increase educational awareness and life skills for school dropouts in the region. This service activity aims to give birth to a program that plays a role in educating school dropouts through life skills indicators, including self-awareness or personal skills, social skills, and vocational skills. We conducted thorough interviews and observations on children in Matobe village who experienced serious problems with school distance resulting in them having to drop out of school. For this reason, in order to improve the life skills of the children of Matobe village, a practical workshop on making simple ecoprints was given, providing socialization of introduction to sex education, as well as good Indonesian language learning skills. The result of this activity is that the children of Matobe village can have life skills, including having sex introduction and education skills that are useful to improve their understanding of reproductive health and healthy relationships, having life skills by being able to speak good Indonesian and having the ability to make product materials from fabric with simple ecoprint techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of the Application of Teams Game Tournament Type Cooperative Method on Geography Learning Outcomes of Class X SMA Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli. This research uses the Quasy Experiment method with a quantitative approach and this research design uses Pre-test - Post-test Control Group Design. The research sample was class X students of SMA Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli in the 2024/2025 academic year with a total of 351 students from 10 classes. The research sample consisted of class X-5 as the control class and class X-1 as the experimental class which was selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, and tests. The results showed that the average Pre-test of the experimental class was 58.03 and Post-test 87.14, while the control class obtained Pretest 61.65 and Post-test 72.09. There was a significant increase in the experimental class. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test test showed a significance level (sig) of 0.001.Because this significance value is smaller than 0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
