Abstract

Abstract

This research discloses how character education builds students’ character at SekolahAlam Minangkabau and SekolahAlamAr-Royyan Padang, so students not only have knowledge capabilities but also provide character social attitudes. This is a qualitative typified research. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The validity of the data was examined through the triangulation method while Miles and Huberman’s theory of analysis were used in analyzing the data. The results of the research suggest that: The characters of the students in both schools are religious, tolerant, obedient, diligent, creative, independent, curious, communicative, ecofriendly, and responsive. The students’ character is built through macro and micro strategies. The varieties of the character education used in both schools include the curriculum, facility, educational program, extracurricular as well as the time and the way the character education is implemented. The students’ parents view the character education as a support for them in developing their children’s personality,itinfluences the students’ daily activities outside the schools,and moreover, it alsoestablishes a good communication between the teacher and the students’ parents.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a model of leadership managerial competence of head of High School in Padangsidimpuan. The expected model can be used as a reference for school supervisors in conducting guidance of managerial competence of head of SMA Padangsidimpuan. This research was done using research and development (R and D) by applying the procedural model. The data of this research are consisted of (1) qualitative data that was obtained from observation, interview, and documentation of the study and it was analyzed using descriptive statistics. (2) quantitative data by using questionnaire. The qualitative data were analyzed using three ways, ie data reduction, data presentation, and taking conclusions. The findings of this study are (1) The coaching is focused on the administrative aspect and has not yet touched the managerial competence of the principal of SMA Padangsidimpuan and (2) the coaching process has not been done properly. This research resulted a model of managerial competence development for the head of SMA Padangsidimpuan consisting of two components, namely (1) the identification instrument of managerial competence and, (2) the steps of coaching the managerial competence of the principal of SMA Padangsidimpuan. This model is equipped with a support system that includes a program of leadership managerial competence of senior high school Padangsidimpuan. The test results show that this model is practical and effective for use in improving the managerial competence of SMA Padangsidimpuan. How well the model of guiding the managerial competence of the principal produced will not mean anything if its use does not get support from the parties related to the principal guidance in particular and general education management. It is therefore necessary to support the school superintendent to use this model within the Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

This research is based on the vastness of Indonesia territory consisting of islands and uneven distribution of population to state education need to follow the development and technological progress which has changed the paradigm of the concept of learning that is conventional.Currently in the midst of technological advances required variations of methods that provide more opportunities for teachers and students to learn independently by utilizing various sources. Teaching and Learning Process is required by utilizing technological elements and utilizing wider learning resources by not abandoning the conventional pattern of direct guidance from the teacher. LESSON LEARNING AND LEARNING TEACHING to the global world today that has meaning in the learning pattern that contains elements of mixed, combined or combined patterns with other patterns to improve the quality of learning to improve. This concept is often also termed by mixing between e-learning with the conventional so-called blended e-learning. Based on the purpose of this study to produce Learning Device Development model by Using Moodle E-Learning Software in Operating System I Course at STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru which valid, practical, and effective.This research is a research development (Reserch and Development) by using Borg and Gall design. The subject of this research is the second semester student (two) Information System Study Program and Informatics Engineering Study Program STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru.The result of this research is the creation of learning tools that are valid, practical, and effective for the course of Operating System I at STMIK Hang Tuah Pekanbaru which is able to improve students' creativity abilities in accordance with validation results from the validators. Keywords : Blended Learning, Blended elearning, Elearning, Workplace learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence student learning independence during the blended learning process.The research method used is qualitative. The research data is in the form of statements or spoken words from people and observed behavior into a description of the factors that influence student learning independence in blended learning.The results of the study found that the factors that influence student learning problems in blended learning learning are (1) motivation, low student motivation results in them not being confident in answering the questions given, students trust their friends more than their own answers (2 ) Goals, students who do not have goals in learning will tend to be lazy in learning because they have no goals in the lesson, if students have goals then they will be enthusiastic about learning, because they understand very well the knowledge they will get during the learning process and (3) Parents' attention, students who rarely get attention from their parents, are more likely to be unenthusiastic in learning, not disciplined in learning and irresponsible in learning.

Abstract

Teacher professionalism reflects the attitude, knowledge, and skill they have. Professional teachers are teachers with the necessary qualifications in carrying out the teaching and learning process which includes knowledge, social, attitude, and professional skills competencies. Teacher professional competence accompanies Law Number 20 of 2003 which has been defined regarding an education system that demands superior teachers, a spirit of professionalism, ethics, and commitment in carrying out their duties. A pocketbook based on mobile learning in education with the matter of increasing the competence of professional teachers is a form of implementation of developments in the world of education in the 21st century. The importance of developing a pocketbook with one of these models is to accompany the above learning through critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, innovative, and communication. The development of this book aims to prepare professional teacher candidates when conducting Educational Field Practices (EFP) in schools. Through the pocketbook, prospective professional teachers are expected to be able to plan learning programs, carry out learning, assess the learning process, master teaching materials, and implement them in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Character education is necessary to form an attitude, personality and morals of a nation. in the application of character education can be applied through the learning process, one of which is in the learning of Social Sciences. This study aims to determine the role of Social Science Learning in the formation of students ' character and to determine the application or implementation of character education in social science learning. This research method uses the literature researcher method, literature review research by looking for reference theories that are relevant to the case or problem found . The results of this study are educators or teachers and schools play an important role in shaping the character of students through school rules, activities followed and in the learning process. Character education is applied to students through social science learning adapted to the material and conditions of students. Learning methods and teachers ' understanding of the material also affect the development of character education. In Social Science Learning also has the same purpose as character education, namely to create good citizens and have moral values.

Abstract

Education is a long life need. Every human being needs education, when and wherever he is. Education is very important because without human education it will be difficult to develop and even be retarded. Education is a conscious endeavor and aims to develop quality. The definition of education according to the Law (UU) of the National Education System No. 20/2003 is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have religious-spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by themselves, society, nation, and state. With education, it is hoped that humans will know all the advantages that have the potential for a better quality of life than before. Based on the findings obtained, it can be concluded that learning outcomes are the abilities possessed by students after receiving their learning experiences and these results can be used by teachers to be used as measures or criteria in achieving an educational goal and this can be achieved if students understand learning with accompanying learning by changing behavior for the better.

Abstract

Changes and improvements in the field of education include various components involved in it, both implementing education in the field (teachers' competence and quality of teaching staff), quality of education, curriculum devices, educational facilities and infrastructure, and quality of education management, including changes in learning methods and strategies used. more innovative. Efforts to change and improve are aimed at bringing the quality of education in Indonesia to be better. This study aims to determine the application of the Canva application-based Think-Talk-Write (TTW) strategy to increase student motivation and student learning outcomes in Geography. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR). The data sources analyzed by the literature can be in the form of books, scientific articles, research journals, research reports, seminar proceedings, and so on. The results of the analysis of several reviewed articles found that the application of an effective TTW strategy based on the Canva application was used by teachers because the TTW strategy invited students to explore students minds by discussing strategies for problem-solving questions that would indirectly improve students' learning motivation, and provide a positive view of the subject of geography.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by the world of education is the problem of weakness of the learning process, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which disrupts the student learning process. Learning activities are a supporting factor for the success or failure of the learning activities carried out. Learning activities can connect the lessons that have been learned with the knowledge they already have. This study aims to describe efforts to improve interpersonal communication and student geography learning outcomes through the talking stick type of cooperative learning model. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The data sources analyzed by the literature can be in the form of books, scientific articles, research journals, research reports, seminar proceedings, and so on. The results obtained concluded that the better the students' interpersonal relationships, the more open people were to express themselves. Through the Talking Stick Type Cooperative learning model, after students receive their learning experience and the results can be used by the teacher to be used as a measure or criterion for achieving an educational goal.
