Abstract

Assessment is a process that must be carried out by the teacher to determine the level of achievement of learning materials as well as the ability of students. This study aims to determine the appropriateness of teacher-generated questions based on LOTS, MOTS, and HOTS. This is a descriptiveresearch with a quantitative approach. The object of this research is the final semester exam questions for class X, XI, XII even semesters for the 2020/2021 academic year. The data were collected through survey techniques and using a checklist as an instrument. Based on the research conducted, the following results were obtained: 1). There is a gap in the suitability of the HOTS type questions on the questions made by the Geography subject teacher at SMA N 2 Bangkinang Kota. The gaps in the suitability of the HOTS questions in class X, XI, and XII are 22%, 16%, and 17%, respectively. 2). Obstacles faced by teachers in making questions are a) Teachers do not have documents/guidelines for the distribution of the proportions of questions. b) the teacher's lack of knowledge about the distribution of questions based on LOTS, MOTS and HOTS. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the questions made by the geography subject teacher have a suitability gap on the HOTS type questions. So it is suggested 1.To be able to help achieve learning objectives, the teacher can match the percentage of the distribution of questions. 2. Universitas Negeri Padang. 2021 This study aims to Knowing the development strategy of Binasi Beach tourism object in Kota Pariaman. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research is located in Marunggi village, Kec. South Pariaman. The informants in this study were the Head of Marunggi Village and Visitors. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews and observations. In this study, the data analysis technique used the SWOT analysis method. Binasi Beach is still undeveloped, but this object has the potential to develop, its beauty and panorama are able to attract tourists to feel the harmonious atmosphere of the beautiful and beautiful beach. Important factors in a tourist attraction consist of the presence of an attraction or object, the existence of facilities, the existence of a shopping center and cleanliness. The results of the research are in the form of a strategy for developing the Binasi Beach tourist attraction which is a new beach in a way that the manager must optimize the existing potential because in the future the manager plans to create new objects and new facilities for the development of tourism objects. Food buying and selling activities are expected to be concentrated in one location only. Threats that are known to be able to disrupt the comfort of visitors, these threats can be overcome with firmness from the manager because the threats that arise come from community behavior. waste managers can work together with other parties to maintain sustainability and also create new jobs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Google Classroom application in learning Geography and the relationship between the effectiveness of the use of the Google Classroom application on the learning outcomes of Geography students at the UNP Laboratory Development High School. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative research. The subjects in this study were students in grades X, XI and XII in the 2021/2022 academic year. The sampling technique in this study used a cluster random sampling technique, with a total of 77 respondents. Data analysis used a Likert scale using the IBM SPSS 21 program and assisted by Microsoft Excel to process the data. The results of the analysis of the effectiveness of the use of the Google Classroom application in Geography learning by 40.26% are in the "Effective" category and the effectiveness of the use of the Google Classroom application in learning Geography for students of class X, XI and XII IPS , which can be seen from the correlation coefficient (rx1y) of 0.627 with the category "Strong Correlation".

Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan suatu proses interaksi antara peserta didik dengan pendidik dan sumber belajar pada lingkungan belajar. Kegiatan ini tentunya berkelanjutan dan cukup membosankan untuk siswa. Rutinitas yang selalu dilakukan di dalam kelas dan membuat siswa jenuh dengan suasana yang ada. Hal ini yang justru memadamkan perlahan demi perlahan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Apalagi dengan pembelajaran sosiologi yang mana dalam pemikiran siswa adalah pelajaran yang kurang menyenangkan karena terlalu banyak hafalan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisi serta mengidentifikasi cara membangun motivasi siswa dalam materi penelitian sosial pada pembelajaran sosiologi. Metode penelitian menggunakaan deskriptif kualitatif  dengan subjek penelitian guru dan siswa SMAN 14 Batam. Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa dapat terbangun dalam pembelajaran sosiologi khususnya materi penelitian sosial melalui studi lapangan dan kolaborasi guru. Kedua cara ini dapat membangun suasana baru yang dapat memunculkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar khususnya dalam materi penelitian sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari dari masih rendahnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan guru tentang merdeka belajar disebagian besar SMA/SMK Kota Batam yang mengakibatkan guru menerjemahkan merdeka belajar sebagai proses belajar sesuka siswa dan sesuka guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengetahuan dasar merdeka belajar guru SMA/SMK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan observasi partisipasi pada 4 sekolah swasta dan 2 sekolah negeri, sedangkan metode observasi non partisipasi dilaksanakan pada 2 sekolah swasta dan 4 sekolah negeri. Data yang diperoleh adalah data primer dari hasil observasi, sedangkan data sekunder didapat dari data dinas pendidikan terkait pelaksanaan platform merdeka mengajar yang ada di sekolah menengah di Kota Batam. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa ada kesalahan pemahaman guru pada prinsip terpenting merdeka belajar, yang mengakibatkan gagalnya memaknai dan menjalankan merdeka belajar secara utuh, adapun prinsip yang belum tersentuh dengan baik tersebut adalah pertama gagal memaknai tujuan dan posisi guru dalam pandangan filosofi ki hajar dewantara, kedua belum duduknya konsep tentang kesepakatan kelas yang menyebabkan kesepakatan hanya sebagai seremonial biasa, ketiga belum memaknainya diferensiasi belajar secara utuh mengakibatkan guru semakin bingung, terakhir belum adanya pengetahuan menyeluruh tentang batasan merdeka belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how teachers assess essay questions that contain elements of analysis and to find out students' answers to essay questions that contain analysis on the distribution and management of natural resources on 2013 curriculum. This research uses mixed research methods. The population in the study was all 11th grade of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The sampling technique in this research used a total sampling technique. The total population is 101 people, while the sample size is 101 people. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that some teachers do not understand how to assess essay questions that contain elements of analysis on material on the distribution and management of natural resources and that most students do not understand the answers to essay questions that contain analysis. This is based on the lack of complexity in the content of geographic concepts that can be linked in creating questions and answering essay questions that contain elements of analysis on the distribution and management of natural resources.

Abstract

History subject is very urgent in social education and there are four skills that students must master in learning social education: analyzing skills, critical thinking skills, evaluating skills, and creating skills. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the flipped classroom method and learning engagement on students’ critical thinking skills in history lessons. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The used instruments in this research were observation sheets, questionnaires, and critical thinking tests. The data analysis used Two Way ANOVA.  The results showed that the flipped classroom and student engagement affect the student's critical thinking skills. Historical teachers should apply this method by building a pleasant learning atmosphere so that student engagement and critical thinking skills of a student increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of class X students at SMAN 1 Sungai Tarab towards Geospatial Technology Applications. Geospatial technology is a technology that measures, analyzes, and visualizes objects or events on earth. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The selection of subjects in this study used a total random sampling method consisting of 255 class X students. The research data were collected using a semi-open questionnaire method with a google form consisting of 25 questions given the answer options yes, no, and others. The results showed that there were 68.41% of students answered yes with the Good category, on the indicator of using geospatial technology applications as learning media. There were 64.61% of students answered yes with the Good category, on the indicator of the use of geospatial technology as learning material. And there are 70.44% of students answered yes with the Good category, on the indicator of the use of geospatial applications in everyday life. From the perception of students, there are still many students who do not know and use geospatial technology applications. Based on observations made at SMAN 1 Sungai Tarab, it appears that geography teachers have not utilized this geospatial technology application-based learning media.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of the REACT learning model on the geography learning outcomes of class XI IPS MAN 2 Padang City students. This research aims to determine: 1) Geography learning outcomes after using the REACT learning model. 2) Implementation of learning using the REACT learning model. 3) The influence of the REACT learning model on learning outcomes. Quasi Experimental Design research design type Pre-Test and Post-Test with Non-Equivalent Control-Group Design. The data collection technique uses a written test consisting of 25 Multiple Choice (PG) questions. The data analysis technique uses an independent samples test. The research results showed that the results of learning geography using the REACT learning model in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class which did not apply the REACT learning model. These results are supported by the results of the independent samples test, obtained tcount > ttable, namely 2.866 > 1.667.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the extent of the relationship between student’s perceptions of teachers’ pedagogical competence and the geography learning outcomes of class XI IPS students at MAN 2 Padang Panjang City. This type of research includes quantitative correlational research. The population in this study was class XI IPS Students in Man 2 Padang Panjang City for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 89 students. The sampling teachnique used was proportional random sampling with a proportion of 10% and a sample of 67 students was obtained. Data analysis uses descriptive data tests, analytical requirements tests with calculations using Exel and SPSS 23.0 formulas.
