Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah dari 30 siswa, ada 8 siswa yang masih belum lancar dengan ciri kesulitan mengidentifikasi lafal diftong (au, ai, ei, dan oi), lafal konsonan ganda (ng, ny, sy, kh dan kr), intonasi bacaan dan kelancaran membaca. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana upaya guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SD Negeri 192 Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II SD Negeri 192 Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas II B. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian upaya yang dilakukan guru kepada siswa yang mengalami kesulitan membaca permulaan yaitu: menggunakan media kata huruf diftong dan kata konsonan ganda, memberikan jam tambahan kepada siswa sebelum pelajaran dimulai, menggunakan metode (metode ejaan, metode bunyi, dan metode suku kata), membaca nyaring, mendikte, melakukan kunjungan ke perpustakaan, memposisikan tempat duduk siswa sebagai tutor sebaya dan bekerjasama dengan orang tua untuk ikut memantau kegiatan membaca siswa di rumah.Kata kunci: Upaya Guru, Kesulitan Membaca, Membaca Permulaan.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low mathematic belief & disposition of mathematics in fifth grade students of UPT SDN 012 Salo. One solution to overcome this problem is to use a Realistic Mathematics Education approach. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in mathematical belief & disposition of mathematics using the rme approach in fifth grade students at SDN 012 Salo. This research method is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings and four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, reflecting, and the time the research was carried out from 24 to 30 May 2023. Subjects in this study were 19 class V students, with the number of males - 6 male students, and 13 female students. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation, observation, and questions. The results of this study can be concluded that the mathematical belief & disposition of mathematics using the (RME) approach. The results of the belief questionnaire in cycle I averaged 49.42% in the low category. Furthermore, the disposition criteria with a total an average percentage of 38.52% are in the low category. The results of the cycle II belief questionnaire can be seen from students' mathematical beliefs with an average percentage of 57.84% in the low category. Furthermore, based on the criteria of mathematical disposition with a to an average percentage of 47.89% in the medium category. The results of the belief questionnaire in cycle III saw students' mathematical beliefs with a total score of  an average percentage of 75.58% in the medium category. Thus it can be concluded that using a RME approach can improve mathematical beliefs & mathematical dispositions students class V UPT SDN 012 Salo.

Abstract

This study aims to develop students' mathematical thinking skills through problem-solving problem-solving strategy training for elementary school teachers in Kampar Regency. The training consisted of several sessions that combined theory, practice, and evaluation of questions prepared by participants. The results showed that the training successfully improved teachers' ability to prepare questions that not only tested basic understanding but also encouraged students to think critically and creatively. Teachers reported increased confidence in preparing more challenging and applicable questions, which could stimulate students' mathematical thinking skills. Although there were some challenges in determining the level of difficulty of the questions, the evaluation results showed that the training had a positive impact on improving the quality of mathematics learning. Post-training mentoring is needed to ensure the sustainability of the implementation of the questions that have been prepared. These findings indicate that practice-based training can improve the quality of mathematics education and provide significant benefits for the development of students' mathematical thinking skills.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the low results of students' understanding of concepts mathematics conepts in class IV SDN 013 kumantan. One solution to solve this problem is to apply the student facilitator and explaining model. The purpose of this study was to describe increasing students' conceptual understanding in mathematics learning by applying the student facilitator and explaining model to fourth grade students at SDN 013 Kumantan. This research method is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students, totaling 9 students. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation, observation and tests. this is indicated by an increase in the number of students who reach the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) and an increase in the average and classical grades. before action 50.55 cycle I meeting I 65.75 and cycle I meeting II 67.6 increased up to cycle II meeting I to 81.47 and cycle II meeting II to 82.4. Likewise with classical completeness from before the action 22.2%, the first cycle of the first meeting 44.4% and the first cycle of the second meeting 66.7% and increased in the second cycle of the first meeting to 77.8%, and the second cycle of the second meeting 88, 9%.

Abstract

The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in mathematics education offers great potential to enhance the quality of education by creating more personalized and adaptive learning experiences. This article explores the role of AI in mathematics education through a bibliometric analysis of related literature, aiming to identify research trends, key topics, and emerging international collaborations. Based on analyses using methods such as treeMap, co-occurrence network, thematic map, factorial analysis, collaboration network, and word cloud, this study highlights the dominance of AI and mathematical modeling topics, as well as the close relationship between technology, education, and computer science. While AI offers numerous opportunities to improve students' understanding of complex mathematical concepts, challenges related to technology access and educators' expertise still need to be addressed. This study also emphasizes the importance of international collaboration in accelerating the adoption and innovation of AI technology in mathematics education. The findings are expected to provide a foundation for further research on the application of AI in education, focusing on the development of more advanced and inclusive adaptive learning systems

Abstract

Mathematical disposition is an essential affective aspect that influences students' success in understanding and enjoying mathematics, but it is often neglected in conventional learning approaches. Students' lack of motivation, confidence, and perseverance in mathematics is a fundamental problem in elementary schools. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based E-Module on improving the mathematical disposition of elementary school students. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was used. The sample consisted of 70 fifth-grade students in Pekanbaru who were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The instrument used was a mathematical disposition test developed based on five leading indicators validated for validity and reliability. The t-test results showed a significant difference between the post-test scores of the experimental and control groups (p < 0.05), with higher mathematical dispositions in the group using AI-based E-Modules. These findings indicate that AI-based learning systems are effective in cognitive aspects and capable of fostering positive attitudes and motivation toward learning among students. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on measuring affective elements within the context of adaptive technology in elementary education. The implications of these findings encourage the integration of AI-based learning that is not only oriented toward academic outcomes but also toward strengthening students' character and mental readiness to face the challenges of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low Critical Thinking Ability of students in class V of SDN 001 Bangkinang. One solution to overcome this problem is to use the Talking stick Type Cooperative model. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles consisting of two meetings and four stages, namely implementation planning, observation and reflection. When this research was carried out in October 2024. The subjects of this research were class V students at SDN 001 Bangkinang. Consisting of 12 students, there are 5 male students and 7 female students. Data collection methods use observation techniques and documentation techniques. The research results show that using the Talking stick Type Cooperative learning model can improve students' critical thinking abilities. This is shown by the observation results obtained in each cycle I meeting I from 12 students, it is known that the critical thinking skills of students included in the complete category reached 4 people or 34% and cycle I meeting II there were 5 people or 41%. Then in cycle II, meeting I, there were 7 people or 58% who had completed it and in cycle II, meeting II increased to 10 people or 83%. Through the application of the Talking stick Type Cooperative learning model to improve the critical thinking skills of class V students at SDN 001 Bangkinang.
