Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Flipdeep learning material and to analyze its improvement on fourth–grade students’ oral reading skills of new vocabulary at SDN Gajah 2. Flipdeep was developed as a flipbook–based digital learning medium integrated with the Project Based Learning approach, enabling students not only to read texts but also to engage in simple project activities that strengthen vocabulary understanding and pronunciation. This research employed a descriptive method using observation, oral reading assessments, and teacher interviews as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that Flipdeep effectively improved students’ oral reading skills, as shown by the enhancement of pronunciation, intonation, and fluency. Visual representation, pronunciation models, and gradual reading exercises in Flipdeep supported students in comprehending new vocabulary more easily. In addition, students demonstrated increased motivation, confidence, and participation through project activities that encouraged collaboration and communication. The teacher viewed Flipdeep as feasible and practical due to its simple display, clear structure, and alignment with the Merdeka Curriculum principles. Therefore, Flipdeep is recommended as an innovative learning material to improve elementary school students’ oral reading abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the suitability and linguistic quality of the Indonesian Language book Bergerak Bersama for fifth grade elementary school students based on content suitability standards according to the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP) and the rules of Indonesian Spelling (EYD) Edition V. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with an evaluative approach. The analysis focused on four main aspects, namely content, language, presentation, and graphics, as well as linguistic studies at the syntactic, semantic, morphological, discourse, and phonological levels. The results of the study show that in terms of content, this book is in accordance with the learning elements and learning outcomes (CP), and contains themes that are relevant to the context of students' lives, such as empathy, anti-bullying, and language skills. In terms of language, the majority of the spelling, sentence structure, and punctuation are in accordance with EYD Edition V, although some minor errors were found, such as the use of punctuation and sentence structure that are not effective. Linguistically, this book is consistent in its use of sentence structure and language meaning, including lexical, grammatical, and contextual meaning. This study recommends several minor improvements, such as subheading markings, speech element presentation, and the addition of explanatory labels to support readability. Thus, this book is considered suitable for use as a textbook at the elementary school level. The main contribution of this study is to provide an evaluative basis for the development of textbooks that not only comply with the national curriculum but also meet good and correct linguistic standards.

Abstract

Literasi finansial adalah pondasi penting untuk kesejahteraan individu dan masyarakat, namun implementasinya di Sekolah Dasar, khususnya di daerah tertinggal seperti kepulauan, terkendala oleh rendahnya kesiapan guru. Berdasarkan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 20 artikel terpilih, penelitian ini mengkonfirmasi bahwa kesiapan guru merupakan tantangan utama yang ditandai oleh lemahnya penguasaan konten materi keuangan dan keyakinan diri (self-efficacy) dalam mengajar. Hasil kajian menyimpulkan bahwa solusi efektif terletak pada Teacher Professional Development (TPD) yang terstruktur, berkelanjutan, dan berfokus pada pendalaman konten serta pendekatan pedagogis integratif-kontekstual, yang didukung oleh kebijakan sistemik untuk memperkuat kapasitas guru sebagai agen utama literasi finansial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan e-BigBook berbasis model Problem Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca teks narasi siswa kelas 3 SDN 2 Todanan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode campuran, yang menggabungkan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman membaca sebelum dan setelah penggunaan e-BigBook , sedangkan data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui hasil wawancara dan observasi selama proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berlangsung. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman membaca siswa, serta respon positif terhadap media yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa e-BigBook berbasis PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa, serta dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Elementary school students' descriptive writing skills still face various obstacles, particularly in organizing and expressing ideas in writing. Although cooperative learning models and digital media have been proven to support writing skills, the integration of local wisdom in digital teaching materials is still limited. This study aims to develop a D'las Lembah Asri digital flipbook based on local wisdom combined with the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model, as well as to test its feasibility and effectiveness in improving the descriptive writing skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 3 Kutabawa. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. Expert validation results showed that the flipbook was in the highly feasible category with an average score of 91.67%. The effectiveness test showed an improvement in students' writing skills, marked by an average pre-test score of 62.05, a post-test score of 77.27, and an N-gain of 0.40 (moderate category). Thus, the D'las Lembah Asri flipbook based on the CIRC model is feasible and effective for use as a contextual learning medium in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low writing skills in simple texts, particularly reconstruction texts, among fourth-grade elementary school students. These difficulties are caused by struggles in developing ideas coherently, limited vocabulary, lack of self-confidence, and teacher-centered teaching methods. This development research aims to design, validate, and assess the effectiveness of the "Pametra: Panduan Menulis Teks Rekon Anak" E-Book, based on the synectics model, to improve the reconstruction writing skills of fourth-grade elementary students. The research method uses the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects consisted of students from classes IV A and B at SD Negeri Salaman Mloyo, Semarang. Data collection was carried out through observations, interviews, questionnaires, tests (pretest-posttest), and expert validation. The findings are as follows: (1) The Pametra E-Book was developed based on a needs analysis that identified students' difficulties in writing reconstruction texts, limited learning materials, and a preference for visual learning styles. (2) The product design was developed using the Canva software application, considered highly suitable based on the validation of content experts (93.75%) and media experts (91.67%). (3) The Pametra E-Book effectively improved reconstruction writing skills with an average N-Gain of 0.60 (moderate category), and the paired sample t-test results showed significance of 0.000 (p<0.05). The product implementation demonstrated improvements in understanding text structure through the "Story House" analogy, the ability to develop ideas using the adiksimba table, and the "Film Camera" analogy, as well as increased creativity, motivation, and student independence in learning. Therefore, the Pametra E-Book based on the synectics model is suitable and effective for use as an innovative learning medium to improve reconstruction text writing skills among fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Fluctuations in learning outcomes resulting from low interest in conventional Bahasa Indonesia instruction at the primary level remain a problem that has not been specifically examined in depth, even though student engagement and consistency of achievement have been widely discussed in previous studies. This study aimed to increase learning interest and stabilize students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by the Lembar Kerja Murid (LKM) “Lembar Ceria” worksheet. A Classroom Action Research approach with a collaborative design was applied to 28 second-grade students at SDIT Insan Mulia. Data were collected through classroom observations, document analysis of students’ work, and written tests, and were analyzed using comparative descriptive techniques. The results show that the use of the Lembar Ceria worksheet within a PBL framework successfully increased learning interest, as reflected in students’ task commitment reaching 100%, and stabilized as well as improved learning outcomes, indicated by an increase in the class mean score from 64.80 (pre-cycle) to 84.71 (Cycle I), with a classical mastery level of 86.53%. These findings contribute to strengthening the theoretical framework of media-assisted active learning and broaden understanding of effective teaching strategies at the elementary level. The study concludes that visually engaging worksheets combined with PBL syntax play a crucial role in creating an enjoyable and meaningful learning atmosphere, and recommends that educators adopt visually stimulating worksheets to enhance student engagement. The implications include a theoretical contribution to the literature on PBL and practical recommendations for elementary school teachers, while also opening avenues for further research on the use of similar media in other subjects to promote more holistic stability in learning outcomes.

Abstract

Although meaningful reading skills have received considerable attention in research on early literacy development, studies that specifically integrate the principles of Deep Learning with Cooperative Learning to enhance meaningful reading among lower-grade students remain limited. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an instructional innovation in Bahasa Indonesia that integrates Deep Learning and Cooperative Learning to improve meaningful reading skills among first-grade students. A mixed-methods approach was employed using a modified Research and Development (R&D) design, involving 18 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through classroom observations, field notes, teacher interviews, and pretest–posttest assessments of reading skills, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ meaningful reading ability, reflected in enhanced comprehension of text content, active participation, collaborative attitudes, and reflective engagement during learning activities, although a small number of students still required additional support in recognizing simple words, indicating differing levels of learning readiness. Theoretically, the study reinforces the relevance of Deep Learning principles—mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning—in the development of early literacy, while practically it produces a teaching module that teachers can use to strengthen Bahasa Indonesia instruction in the early grades. It is concluded that the integration of Deep Learning and Cooperative Learning plays an important role in fostering meaningful reading skills and collaborative character from the primary school level, and further research is recommended to test this instructional model in other subjects and grade levels to broaden the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

The development of the Industrial 4.0 era and society 5.0 brings changes in human life on a technological basis. Changes in the development of education lead to changes in the curriculum as the life of the course of education. The independent curriculum with the concept of independent learning seeks to answer the challenges of changing times. The development of learning in an independent curriculum seeks to provide teacher flexibility in providing learning that is relevant to the current digital era. This writing aims to find out the realization of the use of digital media in learning in elementary schools. This writing uses the Systematic Literature Review method with systematic and clear steps. The results of the review show that the use of digital learning media in the independent curriculum has a significant positive impact on the quality of learning. However, there are still challenges and obstacles in its implementation.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the application of the extemporaneous method and flipbook media in speaking, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the extemporaneous method and flipbook media in improving the storytelling skills of third-grade students at SDN 2 Wulung in Blora Regency. The research method used in this study is a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. Data sources include both quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data collection techniques involve pretests and posttests, while qualitative data are gathered through student and teacher response questionnaires. The study concluded that the application of the extemporaneous method and flipbook media in teaching storytelling to third-grade students at SDN 2 Wulung in Blora Regency was well-implemented and effective. The effectiveness of the extemporaneous method and flipbook media, based on student learning outcomes, was normally distributed, and T-test calculations showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. The N-Gain test calculations indicated a moderate category. The study concluded that the application of the extemporaneous method and flipbook media can be well-implemented in teaching and is effective in improving the storytelling skills of third-grade students at SDN 2 Wulung in Blora Regency.
