Abstract

This research focuses on the leadership of the A’wam Council, group of young religious scholars or kyai (Lora) at the Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan Madura Islamic Boarding School, in carrying out institutional transformation of the pesantren (traditional Islamic boarding schools). As the protector of religious-culture, Lora not only preserves the various acpects of religion such as marriage and security (by performing the rituals of tahlil, or yasinan) but also maintains public morality and good social and political relations in the community. Lora functions as the a protector of culture and religion (amanah or public trust) in order to increase the social capital of the pesantren (enriching social networks). Using the collective leadership theory by O’Neill & Berinkerhoff and a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation, this article finds that Lora leadership made use of Islamic values in transforming this institution from a traditional pesantren (salaf) to modern one (khalaf). This process was coupled with the development of an interconnective-integralist paradigm that led to a new pesantren model that not only preserves the traditional methods but also adopted new developments in contemporary thought, namely combining and integrating religious knowledge with general science Riset ini memfokuskan pada dinamika kepemimpinan Dewan A’wam –yang merupakan kumpulan kyai muda (Lora) di Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan Madura- dalam melakukan transfomasi kelembagaan pesantren. Sebagai pelindung budaya-agama, Lora tidak hanya memposisikan diri untuk menjaga berbagai dimensi agama seperti pernikahan dan keselamatan (tahlil, atau yasinan), namun juga menjaga moralitas budaya masyarakat serta dinamika sosial politik. Konsistensi dalam peran sebagai pelindung budaya-agama difungsikan oleh Lora untuk menumbuhkan modal sosial pesantren (amanah dan jejaring sosial). Dengan menggunakan teori kepemimpinan kolektif oleh O’Neill & Berinkerhoff dan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumtasi, artikel ini menemukan bahwa kepemimpinan Lora didasarkan pada nilai-nilai religius Islam di dalam melakukan pengelolaan pesantren hingga mampu bertransformasi dari pesantren tradisional (salaf) ke modern (khalaf). Proses tersebut dirangkai dengan perkembangan paradigma interkonektif-integralis yang berimplikasi pada model pesantren yang hanya mengajarkan ilmu agama akan diganti dengan nuansa baru, yaitu memadukan dan mengintegrasikan ilmu agama dengan ilmu umum

Abstract

Sasambo Youth Education Nusa Tenggara Barat (SYE NTB) as a youth organization has played an active role in providing services and guidance in various online and offline educational activities from kindergarten-equivalent to higher education. The NTB Provincial Government has actually made efforts and paid attention to education in NTB. However, SYE NTB continues to contribute and take part in overcoming educational problems due to the Covid-19 pandemic which requires changing the learning system. SYE NTB certainly has a strong reason to continue to play a role in education issues in NTB. The purpose of this article is to find out the reasons behind SYE NTB providing educational services and also to find out the various programs held to optimize the quality of education in NTB. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method. The results of this article show that SYE NTB has a vision and mission which then encourages other NTB youths to join SYE in order to achieve the targets and goals that have been proclaimed and realized through various programs.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengurai tentang rekonstruksi paham keagamaan relasi egaliter antara laki-laki dan perempuan melalui sistem pendidikan di perguruan tinggi Kota Malang. Riset ini dilaksanakan di dua perguruan tinggi yaitu Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim dan Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) yang terus membangun pola pendidikan egaliter. Karenanya, riset ini fokus pada realitas kependidikan egaliter tersebut serta dampak pada tumbuh kembangnya paham keagamaan yang humanis, moderat, dan egaliter di tengah sivitas akademika. Dari telaah tersebut, riset ini menyimpulkan bahwa paham keagamaan tentang keperempuanan bisa tumbuh dari realitas sosial kependidikan. Munculnya sistem pendidikan tersebut dilandasi oleh nilai integratif antara dimensi realitas empirik (ayat kauniyyah) dan wahyu normatif (al-Qur’an dan al-Hadist (ayat qauliyyah)). Nilai-nilai integratif dalam sistem pendidikan tinggi inilah oleh peneliti dikatakan sebagai kaldera egaliter religius. Upaya humanis melalui pola sistem pendidikan egaliter mendorong adanya lembaga pendidikan yang bisa mengangkat harkat derajat perempuan dalam mainstreaming paham keagamaan. Bahkan ia mampu mereproduksi kultur akademik yang lebih progresif dan moderat.

Abstract

Pancasila Student Profile as the basis for Independent Curriculum contains significant values in the development of excellent human resources. The aspect of independence in this curriculum does not mean the absent of responsibility in facilitating students, but instead a requirement for the learning activities to not limit the potential of students. The implementation of this latest curriculum requires a comprehensive integration of the values of the Pancasila Student Profile, which in this case is specified to Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). This study aims to identify the process of integrating the values of the Pancasila Student Profile in PAI at SMAN 2 Tanjung. Researchers used a qualitative approach through case study method and data analysis through descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that the integration of the values of the Pancasila Student Profile in PAI at SMAN 2 Tanjung has been well performed using the Webbed model by Fogarty, where the Pancasila Student Profile is the core theme in the learning. But the effectiveness of learning activities can be further improved by using more variation in methods and media of learning, so that students will be more enthusiastic on participating in learning at the class.

Abstract

Developing a humanistically egalitarian variety of perspectives on the relationship between men and women based on the educational system is necessary. Consequently, educational institutions can create an education system with human values. This study focuses on the efforts of Muhammadiyah educational institutions (SMA Muhammadiyah Boarding School Cilongok Banyumas, Madrasah Mualimin Mualimat Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Malang, and MA Muhammadiyah 1 Malang) to establish an egalitarian educational pattern. The Muhammadiyah education system is interpreted using a qualitative phenomenological approach with a gender perspective to promote humanist, moderate, and egalitarian diversity. This study discovered that efforts to comprehend the Koran and al-Hadith regarding egalitarian relationships between men and women could not be separated from the orientation of Muhammadiyah's educational institution as a religious renewal movement. This effort produces a humanist- egalitarian education based on integrative values between the empirical dimension (verse kauniyyah) and the revelations of the Qur'an and al-Hadith (verse qauliyyah), which are dialogued to foster human religious potential that is non-discriminatory. Based on theological values, the axiological dimension of education creates a proportional attitude in the relationship between men and women. This is referred to as gender-religious equality.

Abstract

Peran kepala sekolah memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan disiplin kerja guru di sekolah. Permasalahan beberapa Raudhatul Athfal RA di Kabupaten Sumbawa diketahui bahwa ada guru dengan latar belakang pendidikan terakhir setingkat SMA dan S1 namun tidak pada bidangnya. Hal ini menuntut kemampuan Kepala Sekolah sebagai manajer mulai dari manajemen input guru yang diterima, hingga manajemen tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan dapat berjalan secara profesional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah sebagai manajer dalam meningkatkan mutu guru di RA. Al-Amin Kakiang, Kab. Sumbawa, NTB. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan juga wawancara terhadap kepala sekolah di tempat penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian adalah kepemimpinan kepala sekolah RA sebagai manajer dalam meningkatkatkan profesionalitas guru dilakukan dengan beberapa hal. Pertama, Strategi kepala sekolah RA sebagai manajer untuk peningkatan profesionalitas guru di RA Al-Amin Kakiang Sumbawa, yaitu dengan: perencanaan, pengadaan, pembinaan, pengembangan, penilaian, evaluasi, dan apresiasi guru. Kedua, Upaya Kepala sekolah RA Al-Amin Kakiang Sumbawa dalam peningkatan profesionalitas guru yaitu: pendelegasian guru dalam kegiatan IGRA, workshop, pendidikan dan pelatihan bagi guru. RA Al-Amin Kakiang Sumbawa telah mengimplementasikan langkah-langkah tersebut dalam rangkat meningkatkan profesionalitas guru.

Abstract

Student management in schools has a significant role in shaping student character and discipline. One important aspect of student management is student leadership. Student leadership includes various activities that involve students in organizing and managing school activities, such as student organizations, extracurricular activities, and other self-development programs. Student leadership can be a determining factor in shaping student character, especially in terms of discipline. This study aims to evaluate the influence of student leadership on student character building in terms of discipline. Quantitative analysis method was used in this study. The research group consisted of 128 students in grades VII, VIII, and IX of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang City. The research sample of 94 respondents was obtained through simple random sampling. Data were collected through observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The survey data were processed using Likert scale. Classical acceptability tests such as normality test, homogeneity test, and linearity test were conducted using SPSS for Windows Version 21 program during data analysis. The results of the discussion show that student leadership has a positive effect on the formation of student character discipline at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Malang City. Thus, student leadership has an impact on the formation of student character in accordance with discipline. These results have implications for the theories underlying the research variables and highlight the importance of applying student leadership concepts that are in line with existing theories to achieve optimal student discipline.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini ditujukan memberikan pendampingan berupa pelatihan melalui sharing keilmuan dan pengalaman dengan guru bidang studi Pendidikan Agama Islam di Institut Agama Islam al-Falah as-Sunniyah Kencong Jember. Melalui pendampingan tersebut ada proses pembentukan pengetahuan berbasis wawasan perencanaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru bidang studi Pendidikan Agama Islam. Kegiatan pendampingan ini dipilih sebagai solusi terhadap problematika pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di lembaga pendidikan (sekolah). Bentuk kegiatan berupa pelatihan penyusunan perencanaan pembelajaran yang dikemas melalui tutorial dan eksperiental learning; dan untuk evaluasinya dilakukan secara monitoring dan pendampingan berupa pelatihan melalui sharing keilmuan dan pengalaman. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berdampak pada peningkatan performa guru Pendidikan Agama Islam yang dibuktikan melalui penilaian berkas-berkas pembelajaran yang digunakan mereka. Karenanya, pihak lembaga pendidikan (seperti kepala sekolah) setiap saat secara berkala mengadakan upaya yang sama berupa kegiatan pelatihan metodologi pembelajaran pada semua bidang studi.

Abstract

This paper discusses the concept and the practice of multicultural education at an Indonesian Islamic educational institution, the Pesantren Modern Walisongo. This paper employed a qualitative approach using a phenomenological type of research, and the technique of purposive and snowball samplings in gaining the data. Spradley model was applied to analyze the data; whereas the triangulation strategy and member check were implemented to gain data validity. This study concludes, the formation of the multicultural characters of santri uses the approach of integrating philosophical, spiritual, psycho philosophical, and socio religious-philosophical values.
