Abstract

Abstract Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) has been continuously aligning its educational system with the needs of society and the times. The development of pesantren is inseparable from the role of kiai in carrying out the institutional transformation. This study focuses on transformational leadership of the kiai in developing the pesantren institution. The results of this study indicate that the concept of developing pesantren is transcultural with the principle of "accepting a new good culture and preserving the old one that is still relevant", based on the vision and mission, directed at an integrative education system which combines the mind and heart traditions using rational domain and spirituality in order to achieve worldly (profanistic) and ukhrawi (sacralistic) goals; transformational leadership styles of a kiai include idealized influence behavior, inspirational inspiration, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration, and individual spiritual greatness; and the implications of transformational leadership include two dimensions, namely the human resources and institutional resources. Therefore, this leadership can be said to be prophetic transformational leadership with the addition of individual spiritual greatness (Five I'S). Keywords: Kiai, Transformational Leadership, and Pesantren Abstrak: Pesantren secara kontinu menyelaraskan sistem kependidikannya dengan kebutuhan masyarakat serta perkembangan zaman. Pengembangan pesantren tidak terlepas dari peran kiai dalam melakukan transformasi kelembagaan. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada kepemimpinan transformasional kiai dalam mengembangkan kelembagaan pesantren. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep pengembangan pesantren bersifat transkultural dengan prinsip “menerima budaya baru yang baik dan melestarikan budaya lama yang masih relevan”, berpijak pada visi dan misi, diarahkan pada sistem pendidikan integratif yang memadukan antara tradisi akal dan hati menggunakan domain rasional dan spiritualitas untuk mencapai tujuan yang bersifat duniawi (profanistik) dan ukhrawi (sakralistik); gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kiai meliputi perilaku idealized influence, inspirational inspiration, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration, dan individual spiritual greatness; dan implikasi kepemimpinan transformasional meliputi dua dimensi, yaitu dimensi sumberdaya manusia dan kelembagaan. Karenanya, kepemimpinan ini dapat dikatakan kepemimpinan transformasional profetik dengan penambahan individual spiritual greatness (Five I’S). Abstract

Through transformational leadership, pesantren are able to make institutional changes to achieve success. Because this leadership style can build a strong organizational culture for the effectiveness of Islamic education in pesantren. Therefore, KHMA in PNIA is very effective in carrying out the construction of pesantren culture and shapes the behavior of all pesantren human resources. Therefore, this research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type; which aims to identify and analyze the kiai's transformational leadership style in building an organizational culture in pesantren. The theoretical framework used to analyze the dynamics of the kiai's leadership is the paradigm of Bass & Riggio. He divided the four dimensions of transformational leadership, i.e: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual motivation, and individual consideration. This research found KHMA constructs pesantren culture by taking from the thoughts of ulama' salaf which are contained in the book of salaf -which is commonly called Kitab Kuning. On the one hand, the effectiveness of KHMA's self-leadership in PNIA is also inseparable from the normative doctrinal values of Islam, so that the kiai's leadership style is based on Islamic values. The implication is that the construction of organizational culture ranging from a philosophical framework to the practical values of pesantren needs to be bound by the basis of social-religious transformation. Abstract

This article examines the construction of the religious moderation in pesantren which emphasizes the values framework that underlies it. Therefore, this research focused on the basic framework of theological normative values of the religious moderation in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in East Java. Based on this focus, this research emphasized a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type. The findings of this research review that the religious moderation built by the pesantren is based on divine awareness. Reasonably that their attitudes and actions continue to represent religious-spiritual values. Therefore, every dimension of their life is inseparable from Qur'anic ethics, including religious views, attitudes and actions. This is what the researcher termed aas theological moderation. The implication is not only to dynamize religious life in a society with various movements and beliefs but also to empower rationality (reason) in the pesantren, so that the educational system in the pesantren is also influenced by this religious moderation. Abstract

Konversi keberagamaan dalam diri individu merupakan realitas keniscayaan dalam menenguhkan keyakinan atas sistem agamanya. Begitu pula, dinamika keberagamaan yang penulis alami ini selama berjumpa dengan metodologis (manhaj) keberagamaan yang beragam. Penulis justru memasuki pada nuansa keberagamaan yang berbeda yang membawa pada kerangka transformasi metodologis keberagamaan. Ruang ini merupakan konversi keyakinan keberagamaan penulis dari keberagamaan tradisional yang penuh tradisi “slametan” dan sarat realitas geneologi pengetahuan keagamaan melampui linieritas ekskatologis menuju pada keyakinan keberagama yang puritan, progresif (berkemajuan), dan mengedepankan meritokrasi dalam keorganisasiannya. Tulisan reflektif ini merupakan preferensi personalitas penulis atas konversi keyakinan keberagamaan diri yang telah “meruang”. Dalam tulisan ini dideskripsikan suasana keberagamaan penulis pada saat berada di tradisi keberagamaan tradisional; bertemu dengan tradisi keberagamaan, hingga masuk dalam keberagamaan yang puritan dan progresif. Perpindahan ini dalam perspektif sosiologi agama masuk dalam kategori as preference (perpindahan pada metodologis atau perspektif keberagamaan dalam satu kerangka agama).

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembahasan proses pengimplementasian program Lifeskill dan Pembiasaan sebagai media penanaman karakter disiplin di Sekolah Dasar Kreatif Muhammadiyah Bangil Pasuruan menggunakan tiga tahapan internalisasi nilai sesuai dengan perspektif Thomas Lickona. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui cara observasi non partisipan, wawancara semi terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Sedang analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model analisis yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa proses penanaman karakter disiplin yang dilakukan melalui program lifeskill dan pembiasaan di Sekolah Kreatif SD Muhammadiyah Bangil sesuai dengan tiga tahapan internalisasi nilai karakter menurut Thimas Lickona. Proses penanaman karakter melalui program tersebut ditemukan bahwa peserta didik dapat memahami nilai-nilai karakter disiplin yang diajarkan, kemudian mengembangkan perasaan mereka akan berkarakter baik, serta mampu menerapkan karakter disiplin tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Adapun temuan dalam riset ini adalah tertanamnya nilai karakter disiplin terhadap peserta didik, diantaranya adalah disiplin waktu, disiplin sikap, serta disiplin dalam menjalankan ibadah.

Abstract

Artikel ini fokus terhadap teoritisasi ilmiah fenomena Islamic Studies di Perguruan Tinggi Berbasis Pesantren. Pertanyaan riset ini adalah bagaimana basis filosofis metodologi Islamic Studies dalam mengantisipasi problematika reduksionis di Perguruan Tinggi Berbasis Pesantren? Sedangkan perspektif yang digunakan adalah pandangan Peter L. Berger tentang konstruksi realitas sosial. Oleh karenanya, riset ini memakai pendekatan kualitatif dan pengambilan datanya menggunakan interview mendalam, observasi partisipan, serta dokumentasi. Informan yang diinterviu terdiri atas: dekan Fakultas Agama Islam UNUJA, dua dosen Fakultas Agama Islam UNUJA, rektor Inaifas, wakil rektor I Inaifas, satu dosen Inaifas, satu mundir Ma’had Aly Nuris, dan dua dosen Ma’had Aly Nuris. Riset ini menemukan bahwa jika Islamic Studies di Perguruan Tinggi Berbasis Pesantren melihat diri individu dan realitas sosial secara integratif. Bahkan ia juga memiliki pandangan tentang makna fungsionalitas sosial agama (Islam), diri individual, dan dialektika antropologis transendental yang mampu menangkap zona belantara kesemestaan sosial keberagamaan diri individu. Karenanya, agama bukan hanya sebagai medium legitimasi pada universum simbolik, tapi juga mengurai dimensi teologis yang melingkup diri individu (objek) dan tindakan diri individu (subjek).

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan implementasi pembentukan karakter disiplin dan toleransi melalui pembiasaan dalam Stetsa Jum’at Mubarok di SMAN 4 Malang. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji lebih dalam mengenai disiplin dan toleransi yang diterapkan disekolah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pedekatan kualitatif melalui metode fenomenologi dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui beberapa metode diantaranya adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Keseluruhan data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter di SMAN 4 Malang melalui Stetsa Jumat Mubarok terdapat dua indikator penting yang selalu dijunjung tinggi sekolah yaitu disiplin dan toleransi. Pada aspek disiplin yaitu pada hari jumat siswa wajib datang ke sekolah 15 menit lebih awal dari hari biasanya, pemberlakuan denda untuk point pelanggaran, dan gotong royong. Pada aspek toleransi yaitu pada hari jumat diadakan khotmil quran dan tadabbur Qs- Al-baqarah:256 dan Yunus 41-42 untuk siswa muslim, biblical dissection (bedah kitab Injil) untuk siswa kristen, serta berkunjung tempat peribadatan antar agama. Kegiatan Stetsa Jumat Mubarok ini diimplementasikan secara baik dan rutin. Melalui kegiatan Stetsa Jumat Mubarok siswa diharapkan memiliki sikap disiplin dan toleransi yang semakin meningkat seiring diselenggarakannya kegiatan tersebut.

Abstract

Distance learning during the pandemic is a new strategy in the world of education. The purpose of this research is to measure and assess the success rate of distance learning implementation at Madarasah Aliyah in Malang district. This type of research is an evaluation research. The subjects of this study amounted to 10 people consisting of teachers and school principals from three Aliyah madrasas in the Malang area. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Methods of data collection using interviews and observation. The data analysis technique uses the CIPP model with stages, namely preparation, implementation, completion and reporting. This study concludes the results in the form of four important points. First, not all schools can carry out the distance learning process optimally. Second, teachers do not have uniform competence and can determine suitable learning strategies. Third, the evaluation of distance learning outcomes has not been able to fully describe students' abilities. Fourth, the obstacles faced in the form of teacher readiness and student learning motivation. This study still has many limitations, both in terms of research procedures, themes raised or the type of research taken. Subsequent research conducted will enrich similar research themes.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the students' attitudes and influenced factors in learning Islamic education using Learning Management System (LMS). This study used a qualitative approach based on the social cognitive theory. The subjects of this research were 18 students and 3 teachers who taught Islamic education online in SMA 1 Jember. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using Miles' and Hubermann's interactive technique, consisting of three stages: data condensation, presentation, and conclusion. The result of this research indicated that the students' attitudes in the implementation of LMS during learning Islamic education were positive because they could easily reach learning material and other sources. In addition, the students' attitudes on LMS were influenced by three factors: individual (e-learning self-efficacy), social (subjective norm), and organizational (accessibility system) factors. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya dalam pembelajaran pendidikan Agama Islam menggunakan Learning Management System (LMS). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berdasarkan Social Cognitive Theory. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 18 siswa dan 3 guru yang mengajar Pendidikan Agama Islam secara online di SMA Negeri 1 Jember. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik interaktif Miles dan Hubermann, yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: kondensasi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sikap siswa selama pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam menggunakan LMS adalah positif karena mereka dapat dengan mudah menjangkau materi pembelajaran dan sumber lainnya. Selain itu, sikap siswa terhadap LMS dipengaruhi oleh tiga faktor: faktor individu (e-learning self-efficacy), sosial (subjective norm), dan faktor organisasi (accessibility system).

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the elements of Islamic religious education learning outcomes conveyed through Dzawin Nur's YouTube channel.  This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data analysis technique is a content analysis technique used to evaluate and classify the videos published on YouTube. The research data source was obtained through Dzawin Nur's YouTube channel itself, where the data taken from this source are elements of Islamic religious education, namely akidah, fiqh (worship), and morals. The data collection technique used in this research is documentation in the form of Dzawin Nur's content on his YouTube channel. The results showed that elements of Islamic religious education learning outcomes, such as belief, worship, and morals, were explained in Dzawin Nur's YouTube channel. On his YouTube channel, the element of faith presents material related to the oneness of Allah SWT, where Dzawin Nur invites viewers to believe in the oneness of Allah SWT and ask only Allah SWT. In addition, the worship element and carrying out worship are discussed as stated in the Al-Quran and hadith. The worship discussed in the content is the problem of learning. The obligation to learn is a devotion of a Muslim that has been regulated and ordered in the hadith of the prophet. Therefore, learn because learning is an order contained in the hadith of the prophet Muhammad. And finally, the moral element, where this element is mentioned a lot in Dzawin Nur's videos. One of the moral elements mentioned in his videos is behavior and attitude when making friends. In this case, we are presented by the creator with ethics when choosing and making friends well and also ethics in getting along with others.
