Abstract

The objectives of the research were to analyze the cost, return. income. and profit of cassava farming, to find out the production factors influencing the production of cassava, and to find out the problems faced in the cassava farming. The average width of the arable land was 6.97 borong (1 borong = 0.029 ha). The implicit cost of cassava farming was Rp 1,486,421 per farming or Rp 213,352 per borong while the explicit cost was Rp 509,474 per fanning or Rp 73, 127 per borong. The production per farming was 2, 623. 33 kg or 376 56 kg per borong. The income was Rp 4,242,526 per farming or Rp 608,946 per borong. The profit was Rp 2, 756, 106 per farmmg or Rp 395,594 per borong. The result of the simultaneous test indicated that all the production factors (the width of the land, the number of seeds, the fertilizers, the labors, and the herbicides) significantly influenced the production of cassava. However, the partial test showed that only one production factor significantly influencing the cassava production, namely the width of the land. The problems in the cassava farming were the limited capital owned by the farmers resulting in farmers' incapability to enlarge their farming, and the limited knowledge possessed by the farmers about the fertilizer dosage for cassava.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to analyze the market growth, market share, and sales forecasting of tofu company, to find out the condition of tofu company, and to find out the problems faced in the tofu company. The market growth of tofu company for 2009 until 2012 were 9,69 %, 9,09 %, -28,97 %,­ -11,76 %. The market share of tofu company for 2008 until 2012 were 12 %, 12,88%, 14,05%, 23,64%, 17,32%. The sales forecasting of tofu company for 2013 and 2014 were 271,67 ton and 244,78 ton. According to the Grand Strategy Matrix, the conditon of tofu company was good position. The result indicates that the condition of market growth and market share for 2009 and 2010 were in Quadrant I, then the condition of market growt h and market share for 2011 and 2012 were in Quadrant IV. The problem in the tofu company was slowmoving of soybean commodity by distributors. The slow­ moving of soybean influencing by the condition of climate in the main source of the soybean production place.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify the function of farmer group level, (2) to identify participation level of members of farmer group, and (3) to identify relationship between the participation of members of farmer group with the function of farmer group in Simpang Nungki village Cerbon subdistrict, Barito Kuala district. This research was a survey research. Respondents of this research amounted to 30 farmer taken to the sample proportional random sampling techniques. The research was carried out in Simpang Nungki village Cerbon subdistrict, Barito Kuala district since August until December 2013. Population is all members of farmer group in Simpang Nungki village Cerbon subdistrict, Barito Kuala district (428 farmer). The quantitative data had been analyzed by statistical correlation rank Spearman. Based on the data analysis, the conclusion can be drawn as follows:(1) The function of farmer group level in Simpang Nungki village Cerbon subdistrict, Barito Kuala distri ct is categorized as medium level (80, 40), (2) The participation level of members of farmer group in Simpang NungkI village Cerbon subdistrict, Barito Kuala district is categorized as medium level (103, 67), and (3) there are significant relationshi p between the participation members of farmer group with function of farmer group in Simpang Nungki village Cerbon subdistrict, Barito Kuala district at significant level 95%.
