Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study aims to examine the effect of Profitability and Capital Structure on Stock Prices with Firm Value as an Intervening Variable in LQ45 Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2018-2021. Background Problems: There is uncertainty regarding the fundamental factors that influence stock prices, which shows inconsistent findings, especially regarding the influence of profitability and capital structure. Novelty: This study offers novelty by examining a different unit of analysis and time period compared to previous research and by incorporating a moderating variable. Research Methods: Using quantitative methods with secondary data from financial statements with samples carried out by purposive sampling and data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. Finding/Results: Profitability has a significant effect on firm value, while capital structure does not. Profitability, capital structure, and firm value do not have a significant effect on stock prices. Firm value is also unable to mediate the effect of profitability or capital structure on stock prices. Conclusion: These findings indicate that it is better to assess financial statements from various aspects, not only from profitability and capital structure, in order to obtain a more accurate picture of the company's prospects

Abstract

In the industrial world, friction between machine elements such as bearings can affect the performance and service life of components, making lubrication systems based on tribology principles very important. This study analyzes the selection of lubricants for SKF BT2-8131 A roller bearings in a Vertical Roller Mill owned by PT. Solusi Bangun Indonesia, Tuban Factory, with the aim of determining a better lubricant than before and identifying the type of lubricant film formed. The research process involved collecting machine operational data and lubricant specifications, as well as calculating the kappa value and Streibeck curve to determine the type of lubricant layer, such as boundary, mixed, or full film lubrication. The results showed that Pertamina Masri RG 460 lubricant with a kappa value of 1.29 was selected because it had adequate technical performance and was more economical, although Mobil SHC 600 460 lubricant with a kappa value of 1.73 was also recommended if technical performance was the main priority. The results were validated by calculating the predicted bearing life to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.

Abstract

A chain grate boiler is a type of boiler with a moving grate system to transport solid fuel through the furnace. The coal gate regulates the distribution flow of coal from the hopper to the furnace. In the 20 tons/hour capacity chain grate boiler at PT Sopanusa, the existing coal gate experienced mechanical failure due to damage to components in the roller chain, shaft, and bearings, so that it could not operate as a coal distribution regulator. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to redesign the coal gate on the 20 tons/hour capacity boiler chain grate hopper at PT Sopanusa. The main components, such as the chain, sprocket, worm gear, shaft, bearing, and pin on the coal gate, need to be redesigned to avoid mechanical failure of the coal gate. After redesigning the main components of the coal gate, a coal gate design that is compatible with the boiler chain grate construction will be obtained. The results of the coal gate redesign are as follows: a lifting chain with Chain Grade 80 type, 4 mm diameter, and a sprocket diameter of 320.92 mm; a worm gear with a ratio of 30:1 using hardened steel for the worm and phosphor bronze for the gear; a shaft with S45C material, 60 mm diameter; bearings using single row deep groove ball bearings, unit number ASB Bearing UCP 212; and pins made of SAE 1045 material with dimensions of 60x20x12 mm to support the manual coal gate mechanism on the 20 tons/hour capacity boiler chain grate at PT Sopanusa.

Abstract

Lombok has high tourism potential that requires a reliable electricity supply, one of which comes from the Lombok FTP-2 2Å~50 MW Power Plant in Sambelia, East Lombok. This power plant uses coal supplied through a Coal Handling system, with Belt Conveyor BC-7 as one of its main components. This study aims to redesign the BC-7 Belt Conveyor with a capacity of 150 TPH through manual calculations of capacity and motor power and using Helix Delta T-6 Conveyor Design software. The study focuses on one conveyor unit, using coal material, and only discusses aspects of capacity and motor power under stable operating conditions. The methods used include literature studies, field observations, and data collection from the Lombok FTP-2 PLTU. The data was then processed for manual calculations and software simulations. The results showed a transport capacity of 165 tons/hour (a 10% increase from the previous capacity). The highest motor power without SF from the software was 8.49 kW (19.75% greater than the manual result). The use of software proved to be more efficient and helpful in planning belt conveyor systems.
