Abstract

The shampoo industry in Indonesia is growing. The shampoo formulation contains 2 main ingredients, namely sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium chloride (NaCl). One example of natural ingredients in the manufacture of shampoo is Aloe Vera (Aloe vera L.). This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of SLS and NaCl on the physical and chemical properties of shampoo. This research is an experimental study with 8 formulas. Includes organoleptic test, homogeneity test, viscosity test, foam height test, specific gravity test, and pH test. Making shampoo preparations by weighing all ingredients according to each formulation, leaving the shampoo for 1 day before testing for 4 weeks of storage. The results showed that the organoleptic test and the homogeneity test of NaCl and SLS had no effect on shampoo. In the specific gravity test and the pH test of NaCl and SLS there was no dominant influence on the specific gravity of shampoo. In the foam height test, the SLS coefficient value is higher than NaCl so that SLS dominantly affects the height of the shampoo foam. In the viscosity test the coefficient value of NaCl is higher than SLS so that NaCl dominantly affects the viscosity of the shampoo. The conclusion from this research is that NaCl has a dominant influence on the physical properties, namely viscosity, while SLS has a dominant influence on the physical properties, namely the height of the shampoo foam.

Abstract

Abstract

The service operations of a health facility depend on patient satisfaction with the quality of service provided. Health care facilities must always look after the services provided to maintain good service quality. The result of an agency's service can be seen from 5 components, namely ‘SERVQUAL’. This research is a metaanalysis study that aims to measure the effect of the quality of service provided by health facilities on patient satisfaction. The data was obtained from 10 nationally reputable articles and analysed using the Review Manager (RevMan) 5.4.1 application. Based on the analysis conducted, it was found that all SERVQUAL components (Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, Tangible) had the opportunity to generate patient satisfaction. The variable that has the greatest chance of producing patient satisfaction is empathy (Exp. B (OR) = 5.27; 3.34-8.31). Health care facilities are expected to maintain and pay attention to the quality of their services, both in terms of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence. For this reason, it is necessary to regularly evaluate and monitor all components owned by health service facilities to ensure that the quality of services implemented can meet the expectations of patients who come to visit. Keywords: Service Quality, Patient Satisfaction, Health Facility, Meta Analysis

Abstract

Background: Telepharmacy appears to be a technology that represents a unique and innovative way to deliver quality pharmaceutical services to rural and regional areas in particular. Providing appropriate pharmaceutical services to patients and conducting consultations with other health workers have an important role in reducing the use of inappropriate and less effective drugs. The development of telepharmaceutical services can be influenced by the knowledge and practice of the community. Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge and community practice on the use of telepharmaceutical services in Tabanan City. Methods: This research is an observational study using a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 100 people who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample was taken from the population using a purposive random sampling technique. The research instrument used in this study was a questionnaire (questionnaire), collecting data formally for the subject to answer questions in writing. Data were analyzed using computer software, namely the Chi-square test. Results: The respondents who have sufficient knowledge, as many as 55 people have sufficient behavior, and as many as 42 people, while those who have good behavior, 13 people and respondents who have good knowledge, 45 people have sufficient behavior, as many as 23 people and behavior well as many as 22 people (p-value <0.05). There is a relationship between knowledge and practice regarding the use of telepharmaceuticals in the community of Tabanan City. Conclusion: there is a relationship between knowledge and practice regarding the use of telepharmaceuticals in the community of Tabanan City. Keywords: Knowledge; Practice; Telepharmaceutic
