Abstract

The surfactant associated proteins of  the lung are component of  lung innate immunity. Its functions in host defence is mediated by surfactant associated protein A and D. surfactant associated protein A and D are collectins familly, both synthesized and secreted by many cells in different parts of our body. (MEDICINA 2012;43:46-48).

Abstract

Asap rokok merupakan polutan bagi manusia dan lingkungan. Asap rokok mengandung senyawa radikal bebas yang akan menyebabkan stres oksidatif. Pada kondisi stres oksidatif, radikal bebas menyebabkan peroksidasi lipid membran sel dan merusak organisasi membran sel ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar MDA dan peningkatan jumlah makrofag pada paru. Penggunaan antioksidan dari tumbuhan seperti kubis ungu yang mengandung senyawa flavonoid menjadi salah satu alternative untuk menetralisir terjadinya peningkatan malondialdehyde (MDA) dan peningkatan jumlah makrofag pada paru. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan menggunakan post-test control group design yang menggunakan 36 ekor tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan, berumur 2-3 bulan, dengan berat badan 200 gram. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rerata jumlah rerata kadar malondialdehyde (MDA) pada kelompok (P0) adalah 4,575±2,034 dan pada kelompok (P1) adalah 2,451±1,036 (p < 0,001). Sedangkan untuk rerata jumlah makrofag pada kelompok (P0) adalah 4,294±0,619, dan kelompok (P1) adalah 1,839±0,624, (p < 0,000). Hasil ini menunjukan secara bermakna bahwa pemberian ekstrak kubis ungu (Brassica oleraceavar. capitata L.) pada tikus galur wistar (Rattus norvegicus) jantan dapat menurunkan kadar malondialdehyde (MDA) dan dapat menurunkan jumlah makrofag pada paru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol kubis ungu pada tikus galur wistar jantan dapat menurunkan kadar malondialdehyde (MDA) dan dapat menurunkan jumlah makrofag pada paru. tikus galur wistar jantan yang dipaparkan asap rokok sebanyak 3 batang selama 14 hari.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Fatigue is a process of decreasing tolerance to physical activities. Metabolism burns energy where it breaks down carbohydrates to become lactic acid which results in fatigue. There are many ways to treat fatigue, such as sports massage. Objective: This research will guide the effect of sports massage on decreasing fatigue of Indonesia’s water ski athletes. Method: Research method Treatment By Subject Design. The population of this study were all Indonesian athletes in overall water skiing who were still active in 2019. The subjects of the study were 18 Indonesian athletes of overall water skiing and divided into two different treatment periods. Period 1 was given sports massage treatment and Period 2 was given active rest treatment, between treatments was given a break for 3 days, so the research lasted for 5 days. Lactic acid measurement is measured by taking a blood sample and measured using an accurted lactate tool. Result: Based on the test result, we find that the mean of lactic acid levels before sport massage was 7.2333 ± .99173, and after sport massage was 3.1333 ± .70711 mmol/L. Mean of lactic acid before active rest was 7.2889 ± .67116 mmol/L, and after active res was 4.4061 ± .82253 mmol/L. Differential test result of lactic acid levels before treatment in between the second period treatment with Paired sample t-test showed a significance value of the second period p=0.791 (p>0.05). The value stated there was no significant difference before treatment. Differential Test of Lactic Acid Level Reduction after treatment in between the Two Periods with Paired sample t-test showed that p=0.00 (p<0.05) which means that the two periods have a significant difference. When viewed from the average difference before and after sport massage treatment was 4.1000 ± .77763 mmol/L, while the difference before and after active resting treatment was 2.8828± .53714mmol/L can be concluded that the sport massage treatment is more effective in reducing levels of lactic acid compared to active rest. Conclusion: Sport massage and active rest can both reduce levels of lactic acid, but sport massage is more effective than active rest. Suggestion: The suggenstion in this study is that the trainers are expected to be able to provide a good recovery method after the athlete has done the exercise. Abstract

In the game of futsal, work of postural muscle balance needed to maintain the stability of the body for receiving the pass and put the ball into the other team's goal at the time of attack, changing the direction of movement quickly when returning to their respective positions and avoid of back disorder. This research is a form of experimental research that will test the effectiveness of the provision of trunk balance exercise is better than the strengthening of back exercises to improve muscle work balance of erector spine on futsal beginner players, in this study sample will be divided into two groups, the first group will be given trunk balance exercise to improve balance of erectorspine muscles work in futsal begginer players, the second group will be given back strengthening exercise to improve balance of erectorspine muscles work in futsal begginer players.This study was conducted for 6 weeks and the intervention performed 18 times during the study period. Samples measured by surface electromyography to measure work of right and left erector muscle by calculating the proportion of the work on the muscle, the measurement is performed at before the intervention and then intervention in accordance with the grouping which has been divided and then after completion of the intervention, the samples will be re-measured to obtain the value of the intervention.The results of the first group who has been given of trunk balance exercise shows the average value of the before treatment (83.82 ± 2.94) % and the mean value of the after treatment (96.74 ± 2.39) %, and in the second group who has been given strengthening back exercise shows the mean value of the before treatment (88.29 ± 1.89) % and the mean value after treatment (95.91 ± 1.75) %, with the probability value of both groups is 0.000 (p <0.05), and can be expressed there is a significant difference between both groups. In the fourth hypothesis test conducted comparative results of both groups, using independent samples t-test using mean value of the first and second groups, in the first group (12.92 ± 2.94) %, and the second group (7.61 ± 2.12) %, with a probability value 0.000 (p<0.05) and can be expressed in statistical analysis is no significant difference between both treatments were carried out and that means, giving trunk balance exercise is better than back strengthening exercise to improve balance of erector spine muscles work on futsal beginner players.

Abstract

Background: Myogenic low back pain is pain around of the lower back muscle or a disorder caused by abnormalities in the musculoskeletal system without neurological disorders.Combination of isotonic and rhythmic stabilization is PNF exercises that commonly used in the treatment of myogenic low back pain. Purpose : The purpose of this study prove that the combination of isotonic better than rhythmic stabilization to decrease disability in craftsman tile with myogenic low back pain in Darmasaba village. Methods: This study uses an experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group design. The experiment was conducted in Darmasaba village and subjects were 20 patients.Decreased disability was measured with the Modified Oswestry Disability Index (MODI) before and after training. Results: Statistical test results obtained, a decrease in MODI scores in the first treatment group showed that mean difference obtained 38.20±3.048 and for the second group obtained 31.80±4.050 with p=0.001.Conclusion: From these results it can be concluded that the combination of isotonic is better than rhythmic stabilization for decreased disability of tile craftsman with myogenic low back pain in Darmasaba village. Suggestion: For the next researcher can do follow up research to see long-term result of combination of isotonic and rhythmic stabilization for tile craftsman.

Abstract

Hair loss may accured in both male and female population. Hair loss usually accured in Telogenic phase, meanwhile in Anagenic phase hair loss due to chemotherapy or radiation. Female pattern hair loss (FPHL) is regarded as hair fall type which is accured in women in common and known as female androgenetic alopecia. Almost 40%, 50 years old female shown hair fall sign, which is developed progressive fibrosing alopecia of central scalp, especially in frontal and parietal area. There are two common treatment for Female pattern Hair Loss are Minoxidil for topical use, and Fenesteride by oral. However, it has long been known that estrogens also profoundly alter hair follicle growth and cycling by binding to locally expressed high-affinity estrogen receptors (ERs), in turn increase anagenic phase and represed telogenic phase.

Abstract

Menopause didefinisikan sebagai 1 tahun tanpa menstruasi. Wanita menopausekemungkinan berisiko mengalami Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease(NAFLD). Efekmenguntungkan dari antosianin telah dibuktikan dalam penelitian hewan,sehubungan denganstres oksidatif dan steatosis hati. Ubi jalar ungu mengandung antosianin yang berfungsi sebagaiantioksidan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan sampel tikus yang sudah diovariektomi, kemudian diberikan ekstrak etanol ubi jalar ungu pada tikus secara oral selama 30hari. Pada hari pertama dilakukan randomisasi dibagi menjadi empat kelompok yaitu kelompokkontrol negatif (P0), kelompok perlakuan pemberian ekstrak etanol ubi jalar ungu dosis 1ml(P1), dosis 2 ml (P2), dan dosis 4ml (P3). Pada hari ke-31 dilakukan terminasi untuk di ambiljaringan hati dan pembuatan preparat histologi, kemudian dilakukan pengamatan pada preparatdengan pembesaran 10x10 pada 2 lapang pandang. Dari 28 sampel hati tikus yang diperiksa,didapatkan semua sel hati tikus mengalami degenerasi lemak atau steatosis sebanyak >5% yangmerupakan kunci dari penyakit hati berlemak nonalkohol (NAFLD), namun jumlahnya berbedabeda. Rerata perlemakan kelompok kontrol negatif didapatkan hasil perlemakan paling tinggiyaitu 49,1%, kelompok perlakuan pemberian dosis 1ml, 2ml, dan 4ml didapatkan hasil 39,48%,31,62%, dan 29,14%. Setelah diuji secara statistik didapatkan perbedaan yang signifikan(p<0,05) terhadap pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol ubi jalar ungu.Berdasarkan hasilpenelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberianekstrak etanol ubijalar ungu selama 30 hari dapat menurunkan degenerasi lemak pada hati tikus yang mengalamipenyakit hati berlemak nonalkohol (NAFLD). Abstract

Kebiasaan mengonsumsi makanan tinggi kolesterol dapat menyebabkan dislipidemia, yang kemudian dapat bermanifestasi menjadi aterosklerosis. Menurut penelitian eksperimental sebelumnya, kulit buah anggur memiliki kandungan antosianin yang dapat mengakibatkan penurunan kadar LDL darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol kulit buah anggur terhadap kadar LDL tikus wistar yang diberi diet tinggi kolesterol. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan post-test only control group design. Dua puluh lima tikus wistar jantan berusia dua hingga tiga bulan dengan berat badan 150-200 gram dibagi menjadi lima kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol (pakan standar), P1 (diet tinggi kolesterol), P2 (diet tinggi kolesterol dan 100 mg/200 gBB/hari ekstrak), P3 (diet tinggi kolesterol dan 250 mg/200 gBB/hari ekstrak), dan P4 (diet tinggi kolesterol dan 500 mg/200 gBB/hari ekstrak). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok P3 memiliki rerata kadar LDL serum lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok P1 (nilai P<0,05). Rerata kadar LDL serum kelompok kontrol sebesar 3,12 mg/dL; P1 sebesar 7,66 mg/dL; P2 sebesar 7,54 mg/dL; P3 sebesar 14,40img/dL; dan P4 sebesar 13,56 mg/dL. Berbeda dengan hasil penelitian sebelumnya, kadar LDL mengalami peningkatan pada tikus yang diberikan ekstrak kulit anggur. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak etanol kulit buah anggur dengan dosis 250 mg/200 gBB/hari selama 15 hari dapat meningkatkan kadar LDL serum tikus wistar yang diberi diet tinggi kolesterol secara signifikan. Abstract

Kulit tersusun dari dua lapisan yaitu lapisan epidermis dan dermis. Kulit kering merupakan satu dari beberapa dampak yang dapat terjadi dikarenakan oleh efek radikal bebas. Salah satu sumber radikal bebas adalah sinar ultraviolet (UV). Sinar UV memiliki efek oksidatif yang dapat menimbulkan peradangan pada kulit. Sediaan topikal yang mengandung antioksidan dengan golongan flavonoid dapat digunakan untuk meredakan efek oksidatif tersebut. Salah satu sumber flavonoid alami adalah kulit buah naga super merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah terhadap pH kulit tikus wistar (Rattus norvegicus) yang diberikan paparan sinar ultraviolet B. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian the randomized pre-test and post-test control group dengan menggunakkan sampel sebanyak 30 ekor tikus wistar jantan yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi serta eksklusi. Sampel penelitian dibagi menjadi lima kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol (P0), kelompok plasebo (P1), kelompok krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah 5% (P2), kelompok krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah 10% (P3), dan kelompok krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah 20% (P4) yang masing-masing terdiri dari 6 ekor tikus wistar jantan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pemberian krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah 10% dan krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah 20% untuk mempertahankan pH kulit tikus wistar (Rattus norvegicus) yang dipapar sinar ultraviolet B. Abstract

Kulit kering dapat menurunkan kinerja proteksi tubuh terhadap efek radikal bebas dan infeksi. Kerusakan kulit bisa terjadi karena adanya sinar ultraviolet (UV), salah satu dari komponen sinar matahari yang mencapai bumi. Efek dari sinar UV yang memiliki sifat sebagai sumber radikal bebas dapat dicegah dengan antioksidan. Salah satunya yaitu krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah (Hylocereus costaricencis). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah (Hylocereus costaricencis) terhadap kelembapan kulit tikus wistar (Rattus norvegicus) yang dipapar sinar ultraviolet B. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sejumlah 30 ekor tikus wistar jantan yang sudah memenuhi kriteria eksklusi dan inklusi. Sampel penelitian dibagi ke dalam 5 (lima) kelompok yang setiap kelompok terdiri dari 6 ekor tikus wistar jantan, yaitu kelompok kontrol (P0), kelompok plasebo (P1), kelompok krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah 5% (P2), 10% (P3), dan 20% (P4). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah (Hylocereus costaricencis) 5% dan krim ekstrak kulit buah naga super merah (Hylocereus costaricencis) 10% terhadap peningkatkan kelembapan kulit tikus wistar (Rattus norvegicus) yang dipapar sinar ultraviolet B.
