Abstract

Dumbaya (Momordica cochinchinensis) merupakan tanaman herbal lokal gorontalo yang berpotensi sebagai bahan baku pupuk organik cair (POC). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas POC daun Dumbaya terhadap hasil panen kedelai edamame (Glycine max (L.) Merr.). Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi jumlah buah buah, berat buah, dan jumlah polong per tanaman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan R4 (POC 45%) menghasilkan rata-rata jumlah buah 20,92 per pohon, mendekati perlakuan R5 (NPK 2 gr/tanaman) yaitu 22,42 buah. Berat buah tertinggi diperoleh pada R5 (46,7 gr), diikuti R4 (45 gr). Jumlah polong tertinggi juga ditemukan pada R5 (44,41), disusul R4 (41,08). Meskipun hasil menunjukkan tren positif pada POC 45%, uji ANOVA menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antar perlakuan (p>0,05). Secara deskriptif, POC daun Dumbaya menunjukkan potensi sebagai alternatif pupuk ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Each habitat has a drastically varied species composition as a result of oil palm plantations filtering out natural forest wildlife, leaving only a limited range of taxa to survive. Among the animal groups with the greatest diversity are insects. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of flying insects found in the oil palm plantation area of Wonosari District, Boalemo Regency. The method used in this research is exploration with three observation stations. Station I is adjacent to residential areas, station II is in the oil palm plantation area and station III is adjacent to residents' plantations. Sampling using the trap trap technique using the sweeping net method (insect net) which is commonly used for collecting flying insects. Sample identification in the Biology laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Gorontalo State University. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results in this study obtained 12 species included in 5 orders and 8 families, namely: Family Nymphalidae (Faunis phaon pan, Amathusia phidippus, Melanitis leda). Pieridae family (Leptosia nina), Hesperiidae family (Platylesches robustus). Family Vespidae (Polistes fuscatus), Family Pyrgomorphidae (Atractomorpha crenulata), Family Acrididae (Trimerotropis pallidipennis, Oxya japonica, Chorthippus albomarginatus), Family Cerambycidae (Glenea albolineata) and Family Libellulidae (Neurothemis terminata) with a total of 24 individuals. Of all the flying insects found, the Diversity Index was 2.362, which indicates that diversity is classified as moderate.

Abstract

Students' difficulties in understanding the concept of classification of living things, especially in grouping living things according to taxonomic levels and remembering scientific names, are the background to this study. Biology learning that tends to be teacher-centered and lacks direct interaction results in low student involvement in the scientific process. This study aims to develop and test the validity of Student Worksheets (LKPD) integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) technology based on the Inquiry Learning model as an interactive media to improve students' science process skills. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, limited to the development stage. LKPD was developed based on a needs analysis at Wira Bhakti Gorontalo Integrated High School. Data were obtained through interviews with teachers and validation by media experts and material experts, which were analyzed descriptively quantitatively using a Likert scale. The validation results showed an average value of 86% (media) and 93% (material), both of which are included in the very valid category. Revisions were made based on validator input to improve visual aspects, content, and instructions for use. Thus, this LKPD is declared very valid and suitable for use as a learning medium to support students' science process skills in understanding the classification of living things.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam riset ini adalah untuk menyelidiki apakah terdapat dampak penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap pencapaian studi siswa pada materi Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup (suatu penelitian pada murid kelas VII di SMP Negeri 2 Suwawa). Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Quasy Experimental Design dengan desain Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini ialah murid kelas VII-I dengan jumlah 27 murid untuk kelas eksperimen, dan kelas VII-II berjumlah 23 murid untuk kelas kontrol. Riset ini menggunakan sistem pengumpulan data menggunakan percobaan berupa soal pilihan ganda. sistem analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan percobaan validitas, percoban reliabilitas, percobaan normalitas yang menggunakan rumus Kolmogorov-Smirnov, dan percobaan homogenitas, dan percobaan hipotesisnya menggunakan percobaan -t. Berdasarkan hasil kalkulasi diperoleh thitung = 2.319 dan ttabel = 2.010, karena thitung > ttabel maka H_(0 )dan H_1diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan model penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT (Team Games Tournament) pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup berpengaruh pada hasil belajar murid kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Suwawa.

Abstract

Pisang liar (Musa acuminata) merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman yang memiliki potensi besar dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat, baik sebagai sumber pangan, obat-obatan tradisional, maupun dalam praktik budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji etnobotani pisang liar di Kawasan Pesisir Teluk Tomini (KPTT),termasuk jenis-jenis yang ditemukan, karakter morfologi, serta pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat setempat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksplorasi dan wawancara dengan masyarakat lokal serta penyehat tradisional. Hasil penelitian menemukan sembilan aksesi pisang liar dengan ciri morfologi beragam yang tumbuh pada habitat semi-alami hingga liar alami. Hampir seluruh bagian tanaman dimanfaatkan, seperti buah, batang, daun, akar, jantung, kulit, dan getah. Pemanfaatan mencakup obat tradisional (penurun asam lambung, diabetes, diare, batu ginjal), pangan alternatif, pakan ternak, perawatan kesehatan, hingga atribut ritual adat. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa buah dan batang memiliki frekuensi pemanfaatan tertinggi (28%), disusul daun (17%) dan bagian lainnya. Pengetahuan lokal ini mencerminkan kearifan masyarakat pesisir Teluk Tomini, meskipun potensi ini masih kurang dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya upaya konservasi dan revitalisasi pengetahuan etnobotani pisang liar guna mendukung keberlanjutan sumber daya hayati.

Abstract

The use of digital technology in learning media is one effort to create a more interesting and interactive learning experience. This study aims to determine the validity and practicality of the Quartet Card media based on Augmented Reality (AR) on the material of classification of living things. This research is a development research (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model and was carried out until the limited trial stage. The research subjects consisted of 26 students of class X-3 at SMA Negeri 1 Bongomeme. Validation was carried out by material experts and media experts, and its practicality was tested by teachers and students. The validation results showed a very valid category, with a value of 86% from media experts and 88.33% from material experts. The practicality test showed that the teacher's response was 95.4% and students' responses were 94% included in the very practical category. Based on the results of the validation and practicality test, it can be concluded that the Quartet Card-AR media is valid and practical for use in learning the material of classification of living things in the classroom. Abstrak. Pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu upaya untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas dan kepraktisan media Quartet Card berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE dan dilaksanakan hingga tahap uji coba terbatas. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 26 peserta didik kelas X-3 di SMA Negeri 1 Bongomeme. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, serta diuji kepraktisannya oleh guru dan peserta didik. Hasil validasi menunjukkan kategori sangat valid, dengan nilai 86% dari ahli media dan 88,33% dari ahli materi. Uji kepraktisan menunjukkan bahwa respons guru sebesar 95,4% dan peserta didik sebesar 94% termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil validasi dan uji kepraktisan,dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Quartet Card-AR tergolong valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup di kelas.

Abstract

Laboratorium Botani adalah fasilitas yang dilengkapi dengan alat dan bahan untuk mempelajari berbagai aspek tumbuhan seperti melakukan kajian anatomi tumbuhan, taksonomi tumbuhan, morfologi tumbuhan, dan eksperimen dalam bidang fisiologi tumbuhan. Di Laboratorium Botani, guru dan siswa dapat melakukan berbagai eksperimen sederhana yang menyenangkan tentang tumbuhan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan praktik sederhana di laboratorium botani yang dapat diterapkan oleh guru-guru IPA di Kota Gorontalo untuk membuat pembelajaran tentang dunia tumbuhan menjadi lebih kreatif dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi ceramah untuk memberikan pemahaman dasar, diskusi interaktif untuk berbagi pengalaman dan menjawab pertanyaan, serta demonstrasi praktik melalui video untuk memvisualisasikan teknik-teknik sederhana yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam pengajaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan dan pemahaman guru-guru IPA dalam menerapkan praktik laboratorium botani sederhana. Guru-guru mampu mengintegrasikan teknik-teknik tersebut ke dalam proses pembelajaran, yang berdampak positif pada minat dan partisipasi siswa dalam belajar tentang tumbuhan. Kegiatan ini berhasil mensosialisasikan praktik laboratorium botani yang sederhana namun efektif, yang dapat digunakan oleh guru-guru IPA untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan menyenangkan. Peningkatan keterampilan guru dan antusiasme siswa terhadap pembelajaran botani menjadi indikasi keberhasilan program ini, yang diharapkan dapat terus dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sains di Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is a condition of inadequate energy intake that can have negative impacts on the health of pregnant women and fetuses, and increase the risk of pregnancy complications. Several factors can influence the occurrence of CED, including carbohydrate intake, protein intake, fat intake, maternal age, family income, pregnancy spacing, and food availability. A better understanding of these risk factors is expected to help in efforts to mitigate and manage CED in pregnant women. This study aims to identify the risk factors for CED among pregnant women at Limboto Health Center. This study employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 100 pregnant women at the Limboto District Health Center, selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using MUAC (Mid-Upper Arm Circumference) measurements, 24-hour recall forms, and questionnaires. The research instruments used in this study have been validated (Sig 2-tailed < 0.05) and proven reliable (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.7), confirming their suitability for use. Data analysis used chi-square to examine the relationships between variables and logistic regression to identify the most influential variables. Statistical analysis revealed significant relationships between carbohydrate intake (p = 0.002), protein intake (p = 0.003), fat intake (p = 0.002), age (p = 0.000), family income (p = 0.009), pregnancy spacing (p = 0.004), and food availability (p = 0.000). Fat intake had the greatest influence on Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) (Exp (B) = 143.372). Factors such as carbohydrate intake, protein intake, fat intake, age, family income, pregnancy spacing, and food availability are associated with the occurrence of CED among pregnant women. Therefore, efforts to prevent and manage CED in pregnant women need to consider these factors, particularly in improving nutrient intake to support the health of both mother and fetus.

Abstract

A teaching module is a learning tool or design based on a curriculum applied to achieve predetermined competency standards. This research aims to use the ADDIE development model to produce a science teaching module based on search, solve, crate and share (SSCS) on valid, practical and effective living things classification concepts. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Molibagu involving 24 students in Class VII C. The study showed that the results of validating the Science Teaching Module (STM) based on SSCS from experts achieved a score of 90%, which was included in the very valid category and suitable for use in learning. The practicality of the STM based on SSCS as shown by the implementation of learning during two meetings with a percentage of 93% and included in the very good category, student response reached 81.2% with very good criteria, and student activity with a percentage of 85.5% with good criteria. The effectiveness of the STM based on SSCS is shown by the results of the analysis of learning outcomes tests by obtaining N-Gain values 0.78 with high criteria. Thus, it is concluded that the concept of STM based on SSCS in the living things classification concept has valid, practical, and effective criteria. The research of STM based on SSCS is expected to be developed in other material concepts.

Abstract

The Sulawesi hornbill (Rhyticeros cassidix) is a Sulawesi endemic that is under threat of extinction. The Sulawesi Hornbill (Rhyticeros cassidix) inhabits the area of Popayato-Paguat, particularly the Marisa River Basin near Karangetang Village. The goal of this study is to establish the composition and structure of the vegetation around the Sulawesi Hornbill nesting habitat, particularly in the Marisa River Basin. The method employed was field observation, namely Vegetation Analysis. Direct observation was used to obtain data, with three stations established. The square survey collected data for tree level in a 20 × 20 m plot, pole level in a 10 x 10 m plot, stake level in a 5 x 5 m plot, and seedling level in a 2 x 2 m plot. The research findings revealed the composition of vegetation for the Sulawesi Hornbill's food in the Marisa Watershed Forest of Karangetang Village, which consists of 8 species of vegetation for the Sulawesi Hornbill, namely Aglaia argentea (Matowa), Livistona rotundifolia (Woka/Fan Palm), Madhuca pilphinenis (Flowering Wood/Camphor), Palaquium javense (Palapi), Ficus nervosa (Banyan), Dracontomelon dao (Dao), Pterospermum celebicum. The vegetation structure of the Sulawesi hornbill’s food in the Marisa River Basin Forest area of Karangetang Village shows the highest Important Value Index (IVI) for trees is Ficus nervosa (87.83%), for poles is Madhuca pilphinenis (85.45%), for stakes is Aglaia
