Abstract

Macaca hecki is an animal endemic to Sulawesi where this primate is a protected animal due to its increasing extinction. The behavior of Macaca hecki is very unique by moving simultaneously, the behavior carried out is argonistic behavior carried out simultaneously with eating behavior, eating behavior carried out simultaneously with resting behavior, primates have group behavior with various interactions, one of which is moving, eating, socializing and making sounds, the problem formulation of this research is how the daily behavior of Macaca hecki in the forest area of Makarti Jaya Pohuato village, Gorontalo., with the aim of knowing daily behavior. Macaca hecki in the forest area of Makarti Jaya Pohuwato Gororntalo village, the behavior of individual Macaca hecki that dominates the most or the highest daily activity of Macaca hecki in the forest of Makarti Jaya village is movement behavior (49.03%), while for the lowest daily activity category Macaca hecki individuals carry out in the forest Makarti Jaya village is grooming behavior as much as (2.83%), Macaca hecki is a diurnal animal, namely an animal that carries out its activities during the day, either looking for food or while moving. Every day Macaca hecki carries out moving activities to look for food or do other activities, Resting activities are carried out to carry out eating and grooming behavior. Macaca hecki is a diurnal animal that has an aggressive nature towards disturbances.

Abstract

Infeksi parasit termasuk salah satu permasalahan yang biasa dijumpai dalam budidaya ikan khususnya ikan lele. Tujuannya mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis parasit dan menganalisis nilai intensitas, prevalensi, serta dominansi parasit yang mempengaruhi kesehatan ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus) dalam kolam budidaya. Dalam penelitian ini, masing-masing diambil sampel ikan lele sebanyak 20 ekor dari kolam budidaya di Desa Huluduotamo dan Desa Talumelito menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan terdapat lima spesies yang ditemukan, yakni Vorticella sp., Procamallanus sp., Dactylogyrus sp., Ascaris lumbricoides beserta telurnya, dan Icthyopthirius multifilis. Prevalensi tertinggi dicapai oleh Dactylogyrus sp. yaitu 75%, dan terendah oleh Vorticella sp. yaitu 25%. Dominansi tertinggi dengan persentase 37,16% oleh parasite Dactylogyrus sp., terendah 0,21% oleh Icthyopthirius multifilis. Intensitas parasit tertinggi diamati pada Procamallanus sp., yaitu 9 ind/ekor serta terendah oleh Ascaris lumbricoidesyaitu 6%. Kriteria prevalensi dan intensitas tertinggi termasuk dalam kategori biasanya dan sedang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect, effective concentration, Lethal Concentration 50 (LC50), and Lethal Time (LT50) of tembelekan leaf extract (Lantana camara L.) on the mortality of Riptortus linearis and metabolic compounds of L. camara leaves. The method was experimental. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments, namely 0%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25%, and five replications. Each treatment contained 10 R. linearis test animals. The results of the ANOVA analysis showed the effect of treatment on the mortality of R. linearis (p<0.05). The concentration that showed the highest mortality was 25%. Based on the LC50 test, the 10.155% L. camara leaf extract concentration can kill R. linearis in more than 50% of each treatment. And based on LT50 with a concentration of 25%, it takes 7.681 hours to kill 50% of R. linearis. In L. camara leaf extract contains metabolite compounds, namely alkaloids with a level of 307.87 mg/L, then tannins with a group of 2.75 %b/v, then saponins with a group of 0.31 %b/v, and flavonoids with a group of 1.40 %b/v., It can be concluded that there is an influence of giving tembelekan (Lantana camara L) leaf juice on the mortality of Riptortus linearis.

Abstract

This research is a development research (Research and Development) which aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of developing a Project Based Learning (PjBL) science learning module on additives and addictive substances. This research uses the ADDIE model up to the stage (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) and was tested in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Telaga Biru with a one group pre test-post test design. The results showed that: (1) The developed module obtained an average of 3.66 with a valid category obtained through the validity test; (2) The developed module is practical as indicated by the learning is very well implemented with an average percentage of 92% and students state that the learning process using the Project Based Learning-based Science learning module is practical to be applied in the classroom; (3) The developed module is effective as indicated by students who are active in learning for three meetings with an average percentage of 85% (good category), the increase in student learning outcomes for the cognitive domain reaches an N-gain value of 0.71 including in the high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the learning module developed is of high quality.

Abstract

This research uses the ADDIE development model to produce an E-Module using the Canva application on environmental pollution concept that is Valid, Practical, and Effective. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri Molibagu involving students in Class VII. The research results show that the results of the validation of the E-Module using the Canva application from media experts achieved a score of 85%, which is included in the valid category and suitable for use in learning. The practicality of the E-Module using the Canva application as shown by the implementation of learning during three meetings with a percentage of 85% with excellent category, and the student responses reached 83% with excellent criteria. The effectiveness of the E-Module using the Canva application is demonstrated by student activity with a percentage of 86% with good criteria. Thus, it is concluded that the E-Module using the Canva application on environmental pollution concept has met the valid, practical, and effective criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on student learning outcomes in the concept of Life Organization Systems. This research is experimental research, with the research design used being a one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used in this research was the total sampling technique. The population in this study was all class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Biluhu for the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample in this study consisted of 3 classes, namely the experimental class, the replication 1, and the replication 2, The experimental and replication classes were determined randomly. Research data was collected using test techniques, then the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, which include normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests, and n-gain analysis. The results obtained for the concept of Life Organization Systems using the PBL model through hypothesis testing where for the Tcount in the experimental class was 2.42; replication 1 was 2.32; replication 2 was 2.29, and the Ttable for experimental class was 2.14; replication 1 was 2.18; replication 2 was 2.16. It can be concluded that the hypothesis testing in each class is that the Tcount is greater than the Ttable. Thus, the implementation of PBL model has an effect on student learning outcomes in the concept of Life Organization Systems.

Abstract

Laboratorium Botani adalah fasilitas yang dilengkapi dengan alat dan bahan untuk mempelajari berbagai aspek tumbuhan seperti melakukan kajian anatomi tumbuhan, taksonomi tumbuhan, morfologi tumbuhan, dan eksperimen dalam bidang fisiologi tumbuhan. Di Laboratorium Botani, guru dan siswa dapat melakukan berbagai eksperimen sederhana yang menyenangkan tentang tumbuhan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan praktik sederhana di laboratorium botani yang dapat diterapkan oleh guru-guru IPA di Kota Gorontalo untuk membuat pembelajaran tentang dunia tumbuhan menjadi lebih kreatif dan menyenangkan bagi siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi ceramah untuk memberikan pemahaman dasar, diskusi interaktif untuk berbagi pengalaman dan menjawab pertanyaan, serta demonstrasi praktik melalui video untuk memvisualisasikan teknik-teknik sederhana yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam pengajaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan dan pemahaman guru-guru IPA dalam menerapkan praktik laboratorium botani sederhana. Guru-guru mampu mengintegrasikan teknik-teknik tersebut ke dalam proses pembelajaran, yang berdampak positif pada minat dan partisipasi siswa dalam belajar tentang tumbuhan. Kegiatan ini berhasil mensosialisasikan praktik laboratorium botani yang sederhana namun efektif, yang dapat digunakan oleh guru-guru IPA untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif dan menyenangkan. Peningkatan keterampilan guru dan antusiasme siswa terhadap pembelajaran botani menjadi indikasi keberhasilan program ini, yang diharapkan dapat terus dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sains di Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi media pembelajaran biologi yang digunakan oleh guru, menganalisis permasalahan penerapannya, dan mengkaji respon siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tapa terhadap materi pewarisan sifat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berupa studi kasus, dilakukan pada Mei-Juni 2022 dengan subjek guru biologi dan siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tapa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara guru, kuesioner siswa, dan observasi pembelajaran. Analisis data meliputi pengumpulan, reduksi, dan penyajian data yang diinterpretasikan secara micro dan macro analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru biologi menggunakan media konvensional seperti papan genetika. Terdapat kelemahan pada empat aspek: kesesuaian media dengan tujuan pembelajaran, ketepatan penggunaan, kepraktisan waktu, dan kebutuhan teknis. Namun, guru memiliki kekuatan dalam keterampilan menggunakan media dan pengelompokan sasaran. Respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa 63.5% kesulitan memahami materi pewarisan sifat, 90% membutuhkan media pembelajaran lain, dan 100% berharap pengembangan media konvensional terintegrasi teknologi. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan media dan pengembangan media pembelajaran konvensional terintegrasi teknologi diperlukan untuk menunjang pembelajaran pewarisan sifat.

Abstract

Lalat Buah (Diptera: Tephritidae) menyebabkan kerugian dan penurunan produksi tanaman tomat (Solanum lycopersicum). Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur komunitas lalat buah (Diptera: Tephritidae) dan tingkat serangan pada tanaman tomat (S. lycopersicum). Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Ayula Sejahtera, Kab. Bonebolango dan identifikasi morfologi lalat buah di Laboratorium Entomologi Balai Karantina Pertanian Kelas II Gorontalo pada bulan Desember 2022 sampai dengan Januari 2023. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survey menggunakan perangkap steiner trap. Analisis data struktur komunitas lalat buah meliputi Indeks Keanekaragaman (H’), Indeks Kemelimpahan (KR), Indeks Kemerataan (E), Indeks Dominansi (D) dan tingkat serangan pada tanaman tomat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tanaman tomat ditemukan 278 individu yang terdiri dari 2 spesies yaitu Bactrocera umbrosa dan Bactrocera dorsalis. Berdasarkan nilai indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wienner, ada H’= 0,600 yang dikategorikan sebagai keragaman rendah. B. dorsalis memiliki indeks kelimpahan tertinggi dengan nilai 0,712%. Indeks kemerataan (E) lalat buah memiliki nilai E= 0,866 kategori kemerataan tinggi. Indeks dominansi berada pada D= 0,59 dikategorikan dominansi sedang. Tingkat serangan lalat buah terjadi peningkatan dan penurunan serangan dengan kategori tergolong ringan yaitu (11,04%), (9,31), (4,97%), (7,69%), (6,94).
