Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality management in education at schools and Islamic schools in Indonesia through a literature review approach. Quality education is key to national development, and quality management plays a strategic role in improving teaching effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction, and the professionalism of educators. This study focuses on the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM), which emphasizes continuous improvement, multi-stakeholder involvement, and consistent evaluation. The results of the literature review indicate that the success of TQM implementation is influenced by strong leadership, effective communication between stakeholders, performance rewards, and the integration of a quality culture at every level of the educational institution. The main obstacles faced are limited resources, a lack of understanding of TQM, and resistance to change. Several studies reviewed highlight the implementation of TQM in various Islamic educational units, such as Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Madrasah Aliyah, with generally positive results, although challenges related to operational costs and changes in organizational culture remain concerns. Successful strategies include unifying the vision and mission, strengthening student character, and providing maximum service to all stakeholders, including teachers, students, and parents. The implication of this research is the need to adopt an adaptive and contextual quality management system, accompanied by intensive training for all human resources in education. With the implementation of appropriate strategies, it is hoped that the quality of Islamic education in Indonesia will be continuously improved.

Abstract

Teachers have an important role in learning management. Since teachers carry out the teaching and learning process, their teaching effectiveness has a significant impact on the overall success of education. The findings of theoretical studies suggest that if teachers can fulfill their role as learning managers by using teaching and learning facilities to create learning situations, learning management in their functional duties will be carried out effectively and efficiently. The roles and responsibilities of teachers are very important in the field of education. “With all the changes in the quality of national education, it is difficult to isolate many of the issues related to the presence of instructors as they are the most important component of the teaching and learning process, both in formal and informal learning pathways. Learning is essentially a causal process, with the teacher as the main cause of student learning. Therefore, teachers must be able to determine the right learning strategy to encourage students to participate in learning activities actively, productively and effectively. Teachers must pay attention to their students' readiness, maturity, and behavior when teaching. Therefore, teachers have an important role and strategy to create a good and enjoyable learning environment and help students achieve goals as well as possible.

Abstract

This article investigates the role of educational technology in improving the quality of learning in Indonesian schools in the digital era. Using qualitative methods, this study collects data from various literature sources to understand the impact of existing educational technology and its potential to improve the learning process. The results show that educational technology plays an important role in supporting interactive learning, facilitating access to information, and improving the quality of learning. However, its implementation is faced with a number of challenges, such as limited infrastructure, costs, and teacher skills in using technology. To overcome these challenges, efforts are needed to ensure adequate access to technology, develop teacher skills, and create regulations that support the use of technology in education. Thus, it is hoped that concrete recommendations can be produced to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of learning through the use of educational technology.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the contribution of traditional pedagogy to the development of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah curriculum in the digital era. Data were collected through teacher interviews, analysis of curriculum documents, and field documentation. The research findings indicate that traditional pedagogy continues to play a crucial role in shaping students' character and morals, while digital learning serves as a complement and reinforcement. The synergy between conventional methods and digital technology produces a curriculum that balances Islamic values and 21st- century competencies. This study emphasizes that traditional pedagogy does not need to be replaced, but rather revitalized to align with the development of a digital-based curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

Di era digital kecanduan handphone (HP) pada anak-anak berdampak signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar dan minat membaca. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan mengkaji literatur, jurnal, buku dan data empiris terkait penggunaan gadget pada anak. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa HP berlebihan tanpa pengawasan orang tua menurunkan konsentrasi, meningkatkan ketergantungan, serta melemahkan kemampuan literasi. Dampak tersebut terlihat dari rendahnya minat baca, penurunan pemahaman materi pelajaran, hingga terganggunya perkembangan sosial-emosional anak. Namun HP juga memiliki potensi positif apabila digunakan dengan tepat, seperti melalui aplikasi pembelajaran, e-book, dan media edukatif. Strategi penanganan yang efektif meliputi pembatasan penggunaan gadget, pendampingan orang tua, keteladanan guru, serta penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan. Peningkatan minat baca dapat dilakukan melalui program literasi berbasis sekolah yang melibatkan perpustakaaan, sudut baca, dan komunitas literasi. Upaya sinergis antara keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat diperlukan untuk menyeimbangkan pemanfaatan teknologi dan penguatan budaya literasi agar anak berkembang menjadi generasi cerdas, kritis, dan berkarakter.

Abstract

Kondisi belum bekerja atau menganggur di kalangan pemuda putus sekolah merupakan masalah serius yang dapat menghambat pembangunan desa. Desa Sungai Alam, yang berbatasan langsung dengan kampus Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis, menghadapi tantangan tersebut, di mana banyak pemuda usia produktif yang putus sekolah tidak memiliki keterampilan teknis untuk bersaing di dunia kerja. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberdayakan pemuda tersebut dengan memberikan keterampilan praktis pengelasan SMAW guna menciptakan peluang kerja dan wirausaha. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari tiga tahap utama: (1) identifikasi masalah dan persiapan sarana, (2) pelatihan selama tiga hari yang meliputi pemberian materi teori, demonstrasi alat, praktik keterampilan dasar, dan pembuatan produk sederhana, serta (3) evaluasi melalui observasi partisipasi dan penilaian hasil produk. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 10 peserta pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi dasar pengelasan mereka dan mampu menghasilkan produk sederhana seperti tempat duduk dari besi hollow. Antusiasme dan kepercayaan diri peserta juga meningkat signifikan, yang ditandai dengan keinginan untuk bekerja atau berwirausaha di bidang pengelasan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik ini efektif sebagai langkah awal pemberdayaan ekonomi pemuda. Untuk keberlanjutan, diperlukan program pelatihan lanjutan guna meningkatkan level kompetensi peserta

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fasilitas perpustakaan sekolah dengan minat baca siswa di MAN 2 Palembang. Fasilitas perpustakaan yang memadai diharapkan mampu memberikan kenyamanan, kemudahan akses terhadap sumber belajar, serta meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa untuk membaca sehingga mendukung perkembangan budaya literasi dan keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 90 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas 20 butir pernyataan untuk variabel fasilitas perpustakaan dan 12 butir pernyataan untuk variabel minat baca siswa. Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,928 untuk variabel X dan 0,879 untuk variabel Y, sehingga instrumen dinyatakan reliabel. Uji normalitas memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,200 (>0,05) dan uji linearitas menunjukkan nilai deviation from linearity sebesar 0,623 (>0,05), yang berarti data berdistribusi normal dan hubungan kedua variabel bersifat linear. Hasil uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,977 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05), yang menunjukkan hubungan positif dan sangat kuat antara fasilitas perpustakaan dan minat baca siswa.
