Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi standar proses pendidikan kesetaraan Paket B di Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) Kabupaten Karawang dan faktor-faktor yang mendukung serta menghambat keberhasilannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, yang memungkinkan peneliti untuk menggali pengalaman, persepsi, dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh kepala sekolah, pendidik, dan peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SKB telah berhasil mengimplementasikan kurikulum yang sesuai dengan pedoman nasional, dan proses perencanaan pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menyusun RPP yang sistematis. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran tatap muka, kegiatan tutorial, dan pembelajaran mandiri dilakukan dengan baik, meskipun masih terdapat tantangan seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan kurangnya dukungan dari keluarga peserta didik. Faktor pendukung seperti sikap positif, motivasi belajar yang tinggi, serta dorongan dari teman sebaya sangat berperan dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran. Namun, perbaikan pada fasilitas pembelajaran dan peningkatan keterlibatan keluarga sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan kesetaraan. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam perbaikan implementasi pendidikan kesetaraan di masa depan. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Kesetaraan, Standar Proses, Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, SKB.

Abstract

This study aims to provide information about the effect of implementing the principles of guidance and counseling services in mathematics learning as a solution to low mathematics learning outcomes. The instruments used include a written test in the form of multiple choices. The results of the study were strengthened by the results of student interviews and learning observation assessment sheets by mathematics teachers as observers. The results showed that the simple linear regression equation test, namely Y = 2.019 + 0.901 X, showed a positive direction. Therefore, the treatment has a significant effect on student learning outcomes as indicated by the percentage increase in learning outcomes of 58.48% from the difference between the average pretest and posttest scores.Keywords: principles of guidance and counseling services, mathematics learning, mathematics teachers.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i1.pp135-151

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the Saujana Bentala Community through the Sisir Aksara Program in enhancing reading and writing literacy among the community at Alun-Alun Karawang Regency and to evaluate the literacy improvement outcomes achieved. The low level of reading and writing literacy in Indonesia, especially at the local level, remains a significant challenge influenced by limited access to reading materials, lack of supportive public spaces for learning, and insufficient inclusive and sustainable literacy activities. The Saujana Bentala Community emerges as a grassroots alternative with a participatory approach actively involving the community in literacy programs. This qualitative case study involved key informants including the Community Chairperson, the Karawang Regency Tourism and Cultural Office, community administrators, and program participants. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted systematically through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion verification. Findings indicate that the Saujana Bentala Community plays a crucial role in creating a safe and inclusive space for members to express their literacy skills, serving as a platform for information exchange, community identity affirmation, and social strengthening among members. The Sisir Aksara Program successfully enhances community access to reading materials, organizes various interactive literacy activities such as book discussions and writing workshops, and builds partnerships to expand the program's reach and quality. Moreover, the program contributes to behavioral changes by habituating literacy practices, improving quality of life through writing skill development, and raising awareness of rights and responsibilities in sustaining literacy activities. Thus, the program not only improves technical literacy skills but also strengthens the social and cultural dimensions of community literacy in a sustainable manner. Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of information literacy, internet utilization as a source of information literacy, and internet utilization to increase student reading interest at Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Siliwangi (IKIP Siliwangi). This research uses qualitatif descriptive method. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. Selection of research subjects using the snowball sampling technique. This research's subjects consisted of 23 students related to literacy, 16 students related to information literacy, 18 students related to the results of internet utilization in increasing students' reading interest, and 1 lecturer of Community Education at IKIP Siliwangi. The results showed that students 'understanding of information seeking and information selection was still low compared to students' understanding of information dissemination. Students are still not optimal in using information literacy. Only a few students understand information literacy, how to use information literacy, and select information. Students understand the use of the internet and use it only for social media activities, but low in utilizing the internet as a learning source. Also, the results of the study indicated that students' reading interest was low. Students choose to use the internet instead of reading books. Students do not feel the need to come to the library to find books that match what they need to learn. Therefore, students have to understand the concept of information literacy and take advantage of various applications that support learning.

Abstract

The world condition is currently being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including the behavior of human life and the teaching and learning process. Educators and educational personnel are overwhelmed in learning activities by changing appropriate learning strategies. Thus, it is necessary to understand COVID-19 mitigation literacy. This study aims to analyze the correlation between the COVID-19 mitigation literacy comprehension on educators and educational personnel’s life behavior. Also, to examine the learning strategies used during the pandemic in nonformal education units in West Java. The IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0 program analyzed this correlation study descriptively and inferentially. The results showed a high correlation between the understanding of COVID-19 pandemic mitigation literacy and the life behavior of educators and educators at nonformal education units in West Java Province. They used a blended learning strategy, with WhatsApp as the dominant application. The obstacles in implementing the learning strategy were poor connections in some areas and the lack of operational costs in purchasing internet quota packages.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran puzzle menjadi media yang banyak diterapkan pada program pendidikan anak usia dini karena bermanfaat dalam memfokuskan perhatian peserta didik, memotivasi peserta didik, meningkatkan keefektifan pembelajaran, dan menyesuaikan dengan tingkat perkembangan peserta didik (Niengtinkim Gangte, 2021; Doherty, Wimmer, Gollek, Stone, dan Robinson, 2021). Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan penggunaan media pembelajaran puzzle dalam mengembangkan kognitif anak usia 4-5 tahun di PAUD Sakura III Kabupaten Karawang dan 2) mendeskripsikan hasil penggunaan media pembelajaran puzzle dalam mengembangkan kognitif anak usia 4-5 tahun di PAUD Sakura III Kabupaten Karawang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pengelola, guru kelas kelompok A, dan orang tua peserta didik usia 4-5 tahun di PAUD Sakura III Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa 1) media pembelajaran puzzle diperlukan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan dimulai dari proses persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan tindak lanjut (evaluasi) yang disusun dengan baik, dan 2) hasil dari penggunaan media pembelajaran puzzle adalah anak usia 4-5 tahun di PAUD Sakura III mulai banyak mengalami perkembangan pada aspek kognitifnya yang dilihat dari indikator pencapaian berupa belajar dan pemecahan masalah, berpikir logis, serta berpikir simbolik.Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran puzzle, perkembangan kognitif, anak usia 4-5 tahun

Abstract

This research is motivated by the development of the David Ozora persecution case which was published on the online media page Kompas.com. This can be seen based on the history of news publications in the February-March 2023 edition, there were 15 news reports that raised the persecution case. Based on the news findings, it can be analyzed regarding the 5W+1H elements and the inverted pyramid news structure. This study uses qualitative methods with documentation techniques for each news content. The results found based on observations of the 5W+1H elements and the inverted pyramid news structure found that the most dominant elements are what and who elements, while the news structure section has incomplete legs. Apart from that, the results of the analysis were also used for news text learning materials for class XII high school students in the form of audio-visual learning media in the form of videos through the TikTok application.

Abstract

Today's phenomena can be seen from the rapid progress of technology and information. With social media, of course it can be used as a place to socialize and interact with each other. Social media that are now widely used by the general public are Instagram and WhatsApp. This study aims to analyze discourse in buying and selling negotiations on social media in the Vespa zone based on superstructure or schematic theory according to van dijk in Eriyanto (2015) and utilize the results of discourse analysis as recommendations for teaching materials for class X high school negotiating texts. The benefits of this research are as recommendations for comparison between the structure of negotiating texts based on textbooks and conversations on social media and can be used as recommendations for ex-negotiation high school class X teaching materials. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a superstructure or schematic approach according to van Dijk's theory in Eriyanto (2015). The data source used is documentation of screenshots of conversations on the Vespa zone social media. The method of collecting data in this study are (1) documentation by way of screenshots of sales and purchase negotiation conversations on the Vespa zone social media, (2) using library techniques by looking for references to relevant journals and research The results of this study become recommendations for teaching materials in learning Negotiations Text in Senior High Schools. Teaching materials are packaged with computer-based multimedia and interactive videos.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan model project based learning berbantuan media video blog dalam pembelajaran menulis resensi buku fiksi pada siswa kelas XI di SMAN 1 Klari. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga ingin membuktikan adakah perbedaan signifikan kemampuan menulis resensi buku fiksi siswa yang menerapkan model project based learning dengan berbantuan media video blog dan siswa yang tidak menerapkan model tersebut. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen, yakni quasi experiment. Dalam penelitian metode quasi experiment yang dilakukan menggunakan desain Pretest and Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Kelas eksperimen dan kontrol sampel dipisahkan oleh desain ini. Meskipun kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol tidak dipilih secara acak. Berdasarkan deskripsi dan pembahasan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan penelitian terhadap penerapan model Project Based Learning berbantuan media video blog dalam pembelajaran menulis resensi buku fiksi pada kelas XI SMAN 1 Klari dapat diterapkan dan terbukti mampu membuat kemampuan menulis para siswa menjadi meningkat. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil nilai Pre-test dan Post-tes yang memiliki perbedaan signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata nilai awal sebesar 55,61 dan nilai akhir sebesar 79,00. Sementara itu, untuk kelas ekperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata awal sebesar 55,69 setelah menerapkan model project based learning dengan berbantun media video blog meningkat dengan rata-rata nilai akhir sebesar 83, 69.

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) to determine the use of cohesion and coherence in Mediaindonesia.com editorials; (2) use of cohesion and coherence in building editorial texts effectively; and (3) utilizing the research results as a learning medium for video podcast editorial text material for class XII high school. The data source for this research comes from an editorial at Mediaindonesia.com with the theme of fraudulent financial practices in the Ministry of Finance which was published in March 2023. Meanwhile, the objects studied are sentences and paragraphs that contain cohesive devices and meaning relationships in them. The theory that is the basis for determining cohesion comes from the opinion of M.A.K Halliday and Ruqaiya Hasan, divided into (1) grammatical cohesion: reference, conjunction, ellipsis and substitution; and (2) lexical cohesion: synonyms, antonyms, repetition, hyponymy, meronymy, and collocation. Coherence analysis is based on the theory of meaning relationships put forward by Harimurti Kridalaksana. Apart from that, the research results were developed into a video podcast utilizing theories from Vincec Fernandez, et al. Based on the results of the analysis, the overall data obtained was 365 uses of grammatical cohesion, 37 uses of lexical cohesion, and 78 meaning-coherence relationships. The use of cohesion and coherence together with an understanding of the structure and linguistic rules of editorial texts plays an important role in creating effective texts.
