Abstract

Differentiated learning is one of the approaches in the Merdeka Curriculum, emphasizing the diversity of students' learning needs. However, observations and interviews indicate that many teachers at SD Negeri 144 Pekanbaru still face difficulties in designing and implementing differentiated learning based on information technology. The main challenges include limited understanding of teaching modules, lack of comprehensive training, and minimal use of technology in the learning process. Therefore, this mentoring program aims to enhance teachers' understanding and skills in designing teaching modules aligned with differentiated learning principles while integrating information technology into the learning process. The methods used in this program include socialization, training, technology application, direct mentoring, and evaluation to ensure program sustainability. The results indicate a significant improvement in teachers' understanding and ability to design and implement technology-based teaching modules. Additionally, teachers can integrate various digital platforms to support more interactive and student-centered learning. In conclusion, this mentoring program positively impacts teachers' competencies and is expected to contribute to improving the quality of education in elementary schools.

Abstract

High Order Thinking Skills became the center of attention to achieve the goal, namely that students can think at a high level in any matter, one of which is by using learning models during the teaching and learning process. Therefore, this article discusses an overview of problem based learning and high order thinking skills (HOTS) learning models. This research applies the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting data through POP (Publish or Perish) and ERIC. resulting in an initial database of 18,724 articles from ERIC and 116 articles from Scopus. Then the data was filtered based on descriptors with the keyword "thinking skills," resulting in 2,176 articles. Next, data was filtered based on the education level of elementary school students, with a total of 230 articles. Next, the focus was narrowed to five articles for final analysis. Topics studied include education level, year of publication, and analysis results. The relationship between the problem-based learning model and student HOTS is not limited to exact subjects such as mathematics and science. Students are also trained to have high analytical skills in nonexact subjects such as social sciences (IPS), where they are expected to be able to understand large amounts of material effectively

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often considered abstract and detached from the context of everyday life. Findings in the field, the low ability of students to understand concepts and the lack of knowledge related to culture are the main problems that need to be solved. One alternative approach used to bridge this gap is ethnomathematics, namely by linking mathematical concepts with local culture. This study aims to explore the integration of geometric concepts in the local wisdom of songket cloth and Malay clothing in mathematics learning in elementary schools. The research method used is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews and visual documentation of the motifs and structures of traditional clothing such as teluk belanga, cekak musang and kekek. The results showed that motifs such as pucuk rebung, siku keluang, and bunga cengkih reflect geometric concepts such as symmetry, reflection, rotation, and translation. In addition, elements of Malay clothing reflect the forms of flat and spatial shapes, which can be used to teach the concepts of area and volume. This integration not only enriches the learning material, but also increases students' interest and motivation to learn because the material is presented through a cultural approach that is close to their lives. The conclusion of this study is that the ethnomathematics approach based on local culture has great potential in improving students' conceptual understanding of geometry while preserving cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe teachers' ability to utilize learning media in Grade II of SD Negeri 003 Pangkalan Kerinci. The primary focus of this study is to determine the extent to which teachers can select, utilize, and integrate learning media that are suitable for the characteristics of early childhood learners at the elementary school level, particularly in the subject of Indonesian. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving several key informants, including the homeroom teacher of Grade II, the principal, and four students. To collect data on the ability of teachers to utilize learning media in Grade II of SD Negeri 003 Pangkalan Kerinci, non-test instruments were used, including observation sheets, interview guides, and document reviews of teaching modules, photographs, and individual monumental works. The data were analyzed qualitatively using a thematic approach. The results of this study indicate excellent abilities in selecting and utilizing learning media. Grade II teachers can choose media that are relevant to the goals and characteristics of their students and effectively integrate technology, such as PowerPoint and educational videos, into the learning process. Additionally, teachers' creativity and innovation in creating simple learning materials from readily available resources can increase students' interest and involvement, making the learning process more engaging and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh penggunaan media video animasi terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 190 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan pre-eksperimental. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 84 siswa, dengan pengambilan sampel secara sampling jenuh sebanyak 26 siswa. Teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test, uji regresi linier sederhana, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media video animasi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara minat belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05), sehingga hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam penguatan praktik pemilihan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis audiovisual di sekolah dasar, khususnya dalam mendukung keterlibatan dan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to get a factual explanation of the teacher's understanding in carrying out assessments in the independent curriculum. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive survey research approach. Survey research steps are divided into 4 stages, namely preparation, data collection, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The sample in this study consisted of 23 teachers and principals of class 1 driving schools in Riau province who came from Siak, Indragiri Hilir and Dumai districts. The data in this study were collected using a reflection questionnaire at the assessment and learning workshop. The results of the research show that principals and teachers tend to be able to take advantage of reflection on workshop activities to improve the techniques and methods they use in conducting assessments and learning. Through reflection activities at the mobilizing school workshop, it is hoped that it can contribute to teachers and principals in making appropriate assessments based on the learning process that has been implemented.

Abstract

Temuan permasalahan menunjukkan bahwa adanya perubahan kurikulum 2013 menjadi kurikulum merdeka menuntut guru untuk memahami ulang komponen perangkat pembelajaran yang telah diperbaharui. Salah satu perangkat pembelajaran yang mengalami pembaharuan yaitu rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang berganti menjadi modul ajar kurikulum merdeka. Tujuan kegiatan adalah untuk mendampingi guru-guru untuk mampu membuat modul ajar kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru memahami komponen penyusunan modul ajar serta mampu membuat modul ajar kurikulum merdeka sesuai dengan bidang studi dan kelas yang diajar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair and Share (TPS) learning model on students’ ability to express opinions. The research was conducted at SDN 113 Pekanbaru during the even semester of 2025 using an experimental design with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students, and the sample was selected randomly, comprising class IVA (control group, 27 students) and class IVB (experimental group, 25 students). The independent variable was the TPS model, while the dependent variable was the ability to express opinions.The results showed that the TPS model had a significant effect on students' ability to express their thoughts. The experimental class achieved a higher average score (80.80) compared to the control class (55.74). Hypothesis testing showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-value of 9.343 > t-table 1.647, indicating that Hₐ was accepted and H₀ rejected. Therefore, the implementation of the TPS model had a significant impact.

Abstract

Meluasnya penggunaan media sosial telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan modern. Kemudahan akses internet dan menjamurnya ponsel pintar turut berkontribusi terhadap meningkatnya jumlah pengguna media sosial, termasuk anak di bawah umur. Artikel ini mengkaji dampak media sosial terhadap anak di bawah umur, termasuk dampak psikologis, sosial, dan pendidikan. Studi tersebut menemukan bahwa penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan masalah psikologis, cyberbullying, dan penurunan keterampilan sosial dan hubungan. Selain itu, laporan ini merekomendasikan bimbingan dan pendidikan orang tua sebagai langkah penting untuk mengurangi dampak negatif media sosial terhadap anak di bawah umur.
