Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran pembelajaran matematika kontekstual dalam menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan siswa. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kewirausahaan ke dalam pembelajaran matematika serta perlunya pendekatan yang menghubungkan konsep akademik dengan situasi dunia nyata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur terhadap 180 artikel terbitan tahun 2020–2025, dengan 25 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) efektif meningkatkan sikap dan keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa seperti kreativitas, inisiatif, komunikasi, pengambilan keputusan, dan toleransi risiko. Strategi yang paling berhasil meliputi penerapan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) kontekstual, penguatan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) pada materi aritmetika sosial, serta penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis kewirausahaan. Dampak afektif pembelajaran kontekstual lebih konsisten dibandingkan dampak kognitif terhadap nilai matematika. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah keterbatasan waktu, kompetensi guru, dan sumber daya pendukung. Temuan ini merekomendasikan pentingnya pelatihan guru dan pengembangan bahan ajar kontekstual untuk memperkuat integrasi matematika dan kewirausahaan di sekolah.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in the digital era requires instructional strategies that enhance conceptual understanding while fostering students’ motivation and engagement. Integrating artificial intelligence into classroom practice offers a promising solution to these challenges. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of integrating an AI chatbot into the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) model based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in improving students’ mathematical conceptual understanding and learning motivation. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was employed. The sample consisted of two eighth-grade classes at SMPN 3 Binamu, each comprising 30 students. The experimental group received NHT-based PBL integrated with an AI chatbot, whereas the control group received NHT-based PBL without chatbot support. Data were collected through a conceptual understanding test, a learning motivation questionnaire, and an observation sheet, and were analyzed using independent samples t-test, paired samples t-test, N-Gain, and Cohen’s d. The results revealed a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups (p < 0.05). The N-Gain and effect size were moderate, students’ motivation was high, and engagement was very good. These findings indicate that integrating an AI chatbot into NHT-based PBL effectively enhances mathematics learning quality.

Abstract

Indonesian students' mathematical literacy in PISA assessments remains low,particularly in the Change and Relationships content area. Most existing studies are quantitative and therefore have not revealed the cognitive processes underlying student errors. This study aims to analyze errors and problem-solving strategies of eighth-grade students in solving PISA Change and Relationships Level 2 problems using the PISA mathematical literacy framework (formulate–employ–interpret). A qualitative case study approach was employed,involving 15 eighth-grade students from SMP Al Wildan Islamic School 22 Makassar. The test instrument consisted of three PISA Level 2 tasks with contexts of goods pricing, intravenous drip rate,and currency exchange. Six students were selected through purposive sampling for in-depth interviews. Data were collected through diagnostic tests, semi-structured interviews,and documentation of student work,then analyzed using source triangulation. Results show that average answer accuracy is only 44.4%,with three consistently identified error categories: representation and modeling errors at the formulate stage, procedural errors at the employ stage,and absent result verification habits at the interpret stage. Successful students demonstrate relational understanding and strong metacognitive awareness. This study contributes a specific error mapping per PISA mathematical literacy stage for Change and Relationships Level 2 content,along with operationally distinct intervention recommendations for each error category

Abstract

Differential Calculus courses at the Mathematics Education Study Program of Institut Turatea Indonesia face challenges including low conceptual understanding and limited student interaction due to teacher-centered learning. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the STAD-type cooperative learning model in improving students' interpersonal skills and academic achievement in Differential Calculus. A quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design was employed, involving 17 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using academic achievement tests, an interpersonal skills questionnaire, learning implementation and student activity observation sheets, and a student response questionnaire, then analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Paired Sample t-test, and effect size calculation (Cohen's d). The results showed that learning implementation was accomplished (mean = 3.49) with excellent student activity (mean = 3.80). Cooperative learning had a significant effect on academic achievement (t = −19.439; p < 0.001; d = 4.02) and interpersonal skills (t = −12.286; p < 0.001; d = 2.50), both classified as very large effect. Students demonstrated positive responses with a mean score of 3.41. These findings indicate that the STAD-type cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' interpersonal skills and academic achievement in Differential Calculus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran Efektivitas Model Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada siswa Kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang fokus pada Efektivitas Model Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto yang terbagi menjadi 8 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 252 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII.1 berjumlah 31 orang siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan mempertimbangkan bahwa siswa tersebut pernah diajar menggunakan Model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dokumentasi, wawancara dan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang diperoleh dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan pendekatan Quantum Teaching untuk siswa kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto memenuhi kriteria efektif.
