Abstract

Barbodes binotatus (Valenciennes, 1842) atau dikenal sebagai ikan tanah merupakan spesies ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekologis dan ekonomi, baik sebagai ikan konsumsi maupun ikan hias. Populasinya tersebar luas di perairan Asia Tenggara, termasuk Pulau Bangka. Namun, aktivitas penambangan timah yang masif di Bangka berpotensi mengganggu habitat dan sumber pakan alami spesies ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji jenis makanan utama pada saluran pencernaan ikan tanah, menentukan tipe makanannya, serta mengevaluasi kondisi kualitas air pada habitat alami ikan tanah, yaitu di sungai dan kolong. Lokasi pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Sungai Kayu Besi (Kabupaten Bangka) dan kolong di Desa Terap (Kabupaten Bangka Selatan). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis fitoplankton yang ditemukan di perairan sungai berasal dari kelas Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, dan Euglenophyceae, sedangkan zooplankton tidak ditemukan di habitat sungai tersebut. Sementara itu, perairan kolong mengandung fitoplankton dari kelas Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, dan Cyanophyceae, serta zooplankton yang termasuk dalam kelas Branchiopoda, Crustacea, Maxillopoda, dan Ostracoda. Berdasarkan analisis isi saluran pencernaan, fitoplankton merupakan makanan utama ikan tanah di kedua habitat, dengan nilai Index of Preponderance (IP) berkisar antara 76–100%. Makanan tambahan berupa cacing ditemukan dengan kisaran nilai IP antara 0,17–20%, sedangkan zooplankton berperan sebagai makanan pelengkap dengan kisaran IP antara 0,03–0,6%. Berdasarkan panjang usus relatif yang berada pada rentang 1,44–1,64 cm, ikan tanah diklasifikasikan sebagai hewan omnivora.

Abstract

Ikan hiu merupakan ikan bertulang rawan yang banyak diburu karena memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi. Penangkapan dan perdagangan secara berlebihan menyebabkan spesies ini terancam kepunahan dan sudah masukdalambeberapa ketegori IUCNRed List. Informasi mengenai jenis-jenis hiu yang didaratkan di PPN Sungailiat Bangka masih sangat terbatas dikarenakan sulitnya identifikasi secara morfologi sehingga perlu dilakukan identifikasi dengan metode molekuler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis, filogenetik danstatus konservasiikan hiu yang didaratkan di PPN Sungailiat Bangka. Penelitian dilakukanpada Januari -Agustus2019.Metode penelitian terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu pengumpulan sampel, identifikasi molekuler (gen Cytochrome Oxidase Subunit 1/COI),analisis filogenetik dan status konservasi.Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa karakter nukleotida gen COI sampel ikan hiu yang dicocokan dengan menggunakan program BLAST yang terintegrasi pada laman GenBankteridentifikasi sebagai spesies Chiloscyllium punctatumdan Carcharhinus leucas dengan tingkat kemiripan masing-masing 100%. Jika ditinjau dari data IUCN Red List, spesies Chiloscyllium punctatumdan Carcharhinus leucas masuk dalam kategori Near threatened(Hampir Terancam). Pendataan jenis dan status konservasi ikan hiu inimerupakan salah satu langkah awal dalam pengelolaan mengingat spesies tersebut berperan penting dalamkeseimbanganekosistemlaut.

Abstract

Ikan Keli Lokal (Clarias nieuhofii) memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi khususnya di Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Ikan ini berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai suatu komoditas ikan khas Bangka Belitung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi pemeliharaan ikan Keli Lokal pada sumber air yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilaksankan pada bulan Agustus-November 2019 di Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan, Universitas Bangka Belitung dengan lama pemeliharaan 60 hari. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perbedaan sumber air yang berasal dari air sumur (air bening), air alami dan campuran keduanya dilakukan sebagai perlakuan dengan masing-masing ulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah keragaan pertumbuhan meliputi (panjang dan bobot) mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan sintasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan Keli Lokal merespon baik pada setiap sumber air yang berbeda dengan pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang mutlak yang tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,5), pada laju pertumbuhan spesifik ikan Keli Lokal merespon baik pada sumber air berasal dari air bening dan air alami, sintasan terbaik pada penelitian ini terlihat pada perlakuan air alami yaitu sebesar 67%, secara umum ikan Keli Lokal merespon positif di wadah budidaya pada tahap awal domestikasi.The Walking Slander Catfish (Clarias nieuhofii) had a hgh economic value especially on Bangka Belitung Island. This fish was potential to be developed for local comodity from Bangka Belitung. This research aimed to evaluate a Walking Slander Catfish cultured on different sources of water. This research conducted on August-November 2019 in Laboratory of Aquaculture, University of Bangka Beiltung. This research arranged by Compeletely Randomzed Design (CRD) with the different water sources as the teratments from well (clear water), natural water and mixed of (clear water x natural water). The parameter which was to observed are growth performance (weight and length) absolute, specific growth rate and surival rates. The result showed the Walking Slander Catfish had a positively response for different water sources in growth of absolute weight and length with had no significantly different (P>0,5), for specific growth rate the Walking Slander Catfish had better response on clear and natural water as the source, a good survival rate showed on natural water with value 67%, naturally the Walking Slender Catfish had a positively response cultured on early stage of domestication.

Abstract

Tin mineral in Bangka Island has been mined since the 18th century until now. Tin mining has a positive impact on the economy in Bangka and Belitung, but has a negative impact on the environment with the formation of many new lakes called Kolong. Some ex-tin mine lake have extreme water quality with a low pH. One of them is a lake in Nibung Village, Central Bangka Regency, which has been identified as having an acidity of 3.37. Several fish species were found in the waters with high acidity values, namely Rasbora einthovenii, Trigonopoma pauciperforatum, Rasbora bankanensis, Betta edithae, Brevibora dorsiocellata, and Aplocheilus panchax. The six species can be categorized as extremophile fish. These fish have the ability to adapt to extreme environments so that they have the potential to be used as phylogeographic models and historical distributions.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKetahanan pangan pada kondisi pandemi Covid-19 dapat dilakukan dengan cara penganekaragaman pangan, salah satunya dengan usaha budidaya ikan nila, selain usaha utama lainnya. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui pertumbuhan ikan nila dengan pemberian pakan full pellet di KJT kolam tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan April hingga Juni 2020 sekitar 10 minggu bertempat di KJT kolam tanah milik Pesantren Daarul Hasanah Desa Balunijuk, Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Metode penelitian meliputi perhitungan pertumbuhan ikan berupa panjang dan berat ikan nila termasuk faktor kondisi (FK), uji kualitas air seperti suhu, kadar oksigen terlarut (DO), pH, TDS, Sulfida, dan amonia, serta perhitungan berat pakan ikan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa pertumbuhan ikan dengan rumus W = 3*10-7 L3,87 dimana R2 = 0,97 dan FK = 1,14. Hal ini termasuk kriteria alometrik positif artinya pertumbuhan berat lebih dominan daripada panjang. Kualitas air kurang mendukung walaupun ikan nila terlihat gemuk, namun pertumbuhan ikan tidak secepat pada kondisi kualitas air ideal terutama parameter pH dan DO. Nilai pH 6,07 dan DO 4,9 mg/l berefek pada pertumbuhan ikan nila yang kurang optimal. Pakan full pellet sangat menunjang terhadap pertumbuhan alometrik positif ikan nila. Pertumbuhan ikan nila dengan rata-rata 48,9 gram/ekor atau jumlah ikan nila sebanyak 20 ekor/kg pada bulan Juni 2020.ABSTRACT Food security due the pandemic of COVID-19 can be done by diversification of food, one of them is tilapia fish farming, in addition to another business. The purpose of this study was to determined the growth of tilapia’s feeding with pellets as a feed in KJT ponds. The research was carried out from April to June 2020 for about 10 weeks located in Daarul Hasanah Islamic Boarding School, Balunijuk Village, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The research method includes the calculation of fish growth included of length and weight of tilapia, water quality tests such as temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, TDS, Sulfida, and ammonia levels, and fish feed weight calculation. The results showed that the growth of the fish showed the formula W = 3*10-7 L3.87 where R2 = 0.97 and FK = 1.14. This includes positive allometric criteria, meaning that weight growth is more dominant than length. The water quality is not support even through the tilapia is looks so fat, but the fish growth is not as fast as in ideal cause the water quality conditions, especially the pH and DO parameters. The value of pH = 6.07 and DO = 4.9 mg/l had an effect on the growth of tilapia which is less than optimal. Full pellet feed is very supportive of the positive allometric growth of tilapia. The growth of tilapia with an average of 48.9 grams/indivudual or 20 fish/kg on June 2020.

Abstract

Bangka Island has extraordinary biodiversity. Bangka Island has various types of freshwater fish, including local and endemic fish. The natural betta fish Betta burdigala and Betta chloropharynx are two species of fish endemic to Bangka Island which are considered endangered. The aim of this study was to analyze the differences in morphology and habitat characteristics between these two species. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The fish samples used were 10 Betta burdigala and Betta chloropharynx fish taken from Bikang Village, South Bangka Regency and Jade Bahrin Village, Bangka Regency from August to September 2023. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and presented as graphs or tables. There are eight main characteristics based on morphometric ratios, namely Total Length (TL), Body Length (BL), Tail Length (TL), Head Length (HL), Head Height (HH), Body Width-I (BW-I), Body Width-II (BW-II), and Body Width-III (BW-III). Based on morphometric ratios, there are differences in all morphometric characters. Betta burdigala and Betta chloropharynx live in peat swamp waters, the pH of Betta burdigala water is lower than the pH of Betta chloropharynx water, the color of Betta burdigala water is more black brown, while the color of Betta chloropharynx water is clearer.

Abstract

Mina wisata diartikan sebagai konsep pendekatan pengelolaan terpadu berbasis konservasi dengan menitikberatkan pada pengembangan perikanan dan wisata Bahari. Pengembangan konsep minawisata bertujuan mengembangkan perekonomian masyarakat wilayah berbasis pada pemanfaatan potensi sumberdaya kelautan, perikanan, dan pariwisata secara terintegrasi pada suatu wilayah tertentu. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di Desa Kebintik akan difokuskan pada kegiatan sosialisasi, FGD dan pendampingan program wisata bahari alternatif guna meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra saat ini adalah: 1) Mitra belum optimal mengelola kawasan mina wisata; dan 2) Mitra belum memiliki pengetahuan terkait pengelolaan Kawasan mina wisata. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi antara lain: 1) Membantu masyarakat mendapatkan usaha sampingan dari kegiatan wisata berbasis perikanan tangkap; dan 2) Meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat dari kegiatan mina wisata. Luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini adalah: 1) Peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas kunjungan wisatawan; 2) Peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dari kegiatan mina wisata; dan 3) Peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat. Indikator capaian Program adalah: 1) Peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat; 2) Peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat; 3) Peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat;dan 4) Peningkatan kemandirian masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan, Pemerintah Desa Kebintik dan masyarakat mampu berkontribusi positif pada semua tahapan kegiatan dengan baik. Program rintisan wisata Bahari yang digagas adalah bersih pantai dan penyediaan tong sampah, serta pemasangan net volley Pantai.

Abstract

Mina Wisata is defined as the concept of a conservation-based integrated management approach with an emphasis on developing fisheries and marine tourism. The development of the concept of minawisata aims to develop the economy of regional communities based on the integrated use of the potential of marine, fisheries and tourism resources in a particular region. The Community Service Program in Kepolitik Village will focus on outreach activities, FGDs and assistance with alternative marine tourism programs to increase tourist visits. The objectives of this activity are: 1) Partners have not managed the tourist interest area optimally; and 2) Partners do not yet have knowledge regarding the management of tourist interest areas. The implementation of PkM is participatory or involves the community in the PkM stages which will focus on: 1) socialization activities, 2) Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to develop strategic priorities for developing tourist attractions based on local potential, and 3) strengthening the institutional management of tourist attractions as an alternative development Marine tourism. The outputs resulting from this activity are: 1) Increasing the quantity and quality of tourist visits; 2) Increasing community understanding and skills regarding tourism activities; and 3) Increase in community income. Program achievement indicators are: 1) Increased community participation; 2) Increasing community welfare; 3) Increasing community knowledge; and 4) Increasing community independence. As a result of the activities, the Kepolitik Village Government and the community were able to contribute positively to all stages of the activities well. The marine tourism pilot program initiated was cleaning beaches and providing rubbish bins, as well as installing beach volleyball nets.

Abstract

Extremophilic fish require genetic characterization to determine the identity of their species, their kinship, and the potential for genetic variation due to extreme environmental adaptation. DNA barcoding using Fish-F2 and Fish-R2 primers at an annealing temperature of 52oC for 15 seconds showed qualitative failure results in most fish species. For this reason, optimizing the annealing temperature in the PCR process is necessary to obtain DNA bands that correlate with successful identification. Fish samples were obtained from Ruai Silip, Bangka Island, Membalong, Belitung Island, and Way Kanan, Lampung, Sumatra Island. The annealing temperature optimization was set at 50, 50.4, 51.1, 52.3, 53.7, 54.8, 55.5, and 56°C. Five species of extremophile fish were tested, namely Brevibora sp, Barbodes binotatus, Rasbora bankanensis, Anabas testudineus, and Aplocheilus panchax. Extremophile fish showed differences in the appearance of DNA bands in PCR with different annealing temperatures. Brevibora sp showed a visualization of DNA bands at 54.8°C, Barbodes binotatus at 53.7, 54.8, 55.5, and 56°C, Anabas testudineus at 50 and 50.4°C, and Aplocheilus panchax produced clearly visible band on annealing temperatures.

Abstract

Freshwater fish biodiversity in Belitung Island has undergone a significant decline due to extensive tin mining activities and the rapid expansion of oil palm plantations. In response to these ecological pressures, a biodiversity assessment was conducted in 2024 in the Lenggang River system—an ancient freshwater ecosystem located in East Belitung, Indonesia. The primary aim was to document native and endemic fish species and to establish a reintroduction-based conservation strategy tailored to the river's ecological context. Field surveys recorded high ichthyofaunal diversity, from which 32 native species were selected for reintroduction based on ecological value, conservation status, endemism, and their capacity to adapt to rehabilitated habitats. Among the prioritized taxa was Gymnochanda verae, a rare and endemic species found exclusively in the Bangka–Belitung region. Other selected species include Gymnochanda verae, Desmopuntius gemellus, Osteochilus spilurus, Osteochilus flavicauda, Eirmotus insignis, Brevibora cheeyai and Aplocheilus armatus. The reintroduction initiative was designed not only to restore declining populations but also to enrich the genetic diversity of native fish communities. Importantly, all reintroduced species were confirmed to be historically present and indigenous to the Lenggang River system. The conservation strategy was further supported by habitat restoration, local community involvement, and long-term population monitoring. Preliminary results indicate positive acclimatization in restored zones, underscoring the potential of species reintroduction as an effective tool for freshwater biodiversity conservation in ancient tropical river systems. This study provides essential baseline data and offers a replicable model for integrated conservation of freshwater ecosystems in Southeast Asia.
