Abstract

21st century learning requires students to have science literacy skills and learning outcomes. Learning that is still conventional and has not led to the empowerment of science literacy skills and learning outcomes results in students not being active in the learning process. This condition is reinforced by the fact that when the teacher poses problems, some students are still passive in expressing their ideas and arguments. One of the learning models that is considered to develop science literacy skills and learning outcomes is the guided inquiry learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model on science literacy skills and learning outcomes of grade XI high school students. This type of research is a quasi experiment with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Instruments used to measure science literacy and cognitive learning outcomes in the form of essay tests, while affective learning outcomes using questionnaires and psychomotor learning outcomes of students using observation sheets. Data analysis techniques for science literacy and cognitive learning outcomes used ANOVA test while affective and psychomotor learning outcomes used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the guided inquiry learning model had a positive and significant effect on science literacy and student learning outcomes in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

This research focuses on student responses and the feasibility of Simita diorama learning media on an ecosystem theme for class V students. With this focus, this research aims to develop Simita diorama media on an ecosystem theme for class V students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), because the research method is used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. The observation stage was carried out at three elementary schools in Blitar, namely MI Hidayatul Ulum, SDN Sanankulon 02, and SDN Karangsari 03. The Simita diorama learning media trial was carried out in the instructional simulation trial stage using 12 students to determine student responses to the Simita diorama learning media. as a participant in a limited trial. The results of the research show that the Simita diorama learning media on ecosystem theme material in class V elementary school has gone through a feasibility test by material expert validators, media experts and language experts. The percentage obtained from material expert validators was 81.3%, media expert validators 91.1%, and language expert validators 85%. Based on the validator results, it can be concluded that the Simita diorama learning media is categorized as appropriate by experts. Based on the analysis of questionnaire data, students' responses to the Simita diorama media obtained a percentage score of 95.8% with very good information

Abstract

The need to master 21st century skills demand preservice teachers to have pedagogical competencies that are adaptive to change, especially in terms of implementing 21st century learning models and integrating technology into learning. One solution to meet the demands of preservice teachers is e-learning, a flexible, adaptive and interactive learning that allows users to access content anywhere, following structured stages. The success of e-learning depends on the effectiveness of implementing an approach such as DARP (Discuss, Archive, Reflect, and Prepare). This approach ensures that the e-learning platform is interactive, reflective and evaluative. The aim of this research is to examine the response of users of e-learning prototypes of 21st century learning models designed with a reflective and interactive approach. This initial prototype was developed to meet user needs and align with the intended goals, using a usability questionnaire for evaluation. The method used in this research is SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) which consists of five stages, namely planning, analysis, design, implementation and testing. This research involved 30 students and 2 lecturers, and the usability of the e-learning platform was assessed using the USE Questionnaire. The development of this prototype received positive feedback from both students and lecturers, this shows that DARP-based e-learning can be further developed as a learning platform to support improving the pedagogical competence of 21st century preservice teacher.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah terdapat pengaruh perbedaan perlakuan antara pretest dan posttest siswa sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning pada kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPAS kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen. Eksperimen ini diukur menggunakan pre-test yang diberikan sebelum perlakuan dan post-test yang diberikan setelah perlakuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning berbantuan aplikasi video simulasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPA kelas IV sekolah dasar. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan soal isian, tes hasil belajar berupa soal pilihan ganda, dan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran model. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Ancova dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis Ancova untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilai sig 0,00 < 0,05. Dengan demikian yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penanaman nilai-nilai kepedulian lingkungan sejak usia dini melalui pendekatan Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Sekolah dasar menjadi titik strategis dalam membentuk perilaku ramah lingkungan (green behaviour) yang berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa serta kapasitas guru dalam mengintegrasikan konsep ESD ke dalam pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup tahapan persiapan, pelatihan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sesi pelatihan partisipatif yang melibatkan guru dan siswa SDN Gembongan 2, dengan materi berupa modul ESD, lembar kerja lingkungan, simulasi praktik green behaviour, serta pembentukan program sekolah peduli lingkungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep lingkungan dan praktik keberlanjutan, serta peningkatan kapasitas guru sebagai fasilitator ESD. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 92% peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman, 90% siap menerapkan kebiasaan ramah lingkungan, dan 87% menyatakan puas terhadap metode pelatihan. Komitmen sekolah untuk menjadi Sekolah Peduli Lingkungan juga mulai terbentuk melalui program lanjutan seperti pembentukan tim “Sahabat Lingkungan” dan penyediaan fasilitas pendukung edukasi lingkungan. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan lingkungan berbasis ESD dapat diterapkan secara efektif di sekolah dasar melalui pendekatan kolaboratif dan partisipatif.

Abstract

The study was conducted because during the Covid-19 pandemic, the student learning process was less effective in biology lessons. Students did not like using a one-way system in learning. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the lack of interaction between teachers and students was the main factor that reduced learning efficiency. The main objective of this study was to produce an interactive learning media based on PBL (Problem-Based Learning), called Bioroom, with animalia material. This research is a type of development research (R&D). Due to time and cost limitations, this study was conducted using Sugiyono's research model, which was limited to the 7th stage (product revision). The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Verification was carried out by 3 experts, namely material experts, linguists, and media experts and the resulting data: 1) the percentage obtained from material verification was 83%, 2) the percentage obtained from language verification was 78%, and 3) the percentage obtained from media verification The percentage was 85%. Product trials were conducted in two ways, namely readability tests and response tests. The readability test was conducted by teachers and students, with a score of 86% for teachers and 83% for students. A response test was also conducted by teachers and students, with a score of 91% for teachers and 82% for students. According to the research data, the PBL-based Bioroom learning media is highly feasible and suitable for use at the high school/Islamic high school level, especially for the Animalia topic.

Abstract

The lack of interactive and engaging learning media often makes biology lessons, especially those involving sensitive topics such as the human reproductive system, feel monotonous and less effective for students. This research aims to develop a biology learning media in the form of a card game called Kartu Uno Biologi, adapted from the popular UNO game format. The goal is to improve student engagement, communication skills, and learning outcomes. The development model used in this study is ADDIE, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The media was validated by experts in material, media, and language, and was tested on students through small group trials and classroom implementation. The validation results showed that Krtu Uno Biologi was considered valid (68% from material experts) and very valid (86% from media experts). The practicality test showed that the media was easy to use with a score of 82.22%, and the effectiveness test indicated an improvement in students’ understanding and oral communication, with a normalized gain score of 0.669 (medium category). Based on these results, Kartu Uno Biologi is suitable for use as an alternative and effective biology learning tool.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RQA berintegrasi PBL pada mata pelajaran Biologi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas XI SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimen. Subjek siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Kota Blitar. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 35 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dan 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian pre-test dan post-test berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah ter validasi 0,74 (74%) dengan kriteria layak digunakan untuk mengukur variabel terikat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji prasyarat (normalitas dan homogenitas) dan Uji hipotesis (ANCOVA). Terdapat selisih peningkatan lebih tinggi pada kelas RQA+PBL sebesar 34,41% untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan Fhitung sebesar 156.222 taraf  signifikansi. 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas XI di SMAN 3 Kota Blitar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran RQA berintegrasi PBL dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to create an interactive media product for Android that delivers scientific content on the human digestive system. This research is categorized as research and development (R&D), sometimes referred to as development research, and focuses on developing learning tools. The research adopts the Sugiyono model, limited to level 7. Topics covered include potential and issues, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. The researcher developed an Android-based interactive media (Meterban), which received a material validation score of 80%, a media expert validation score of 94%, and a language expert validation score of 95.8%. Additionally, the teacher readability test results were classified as "very good" with a score of 94.35%, and the student readability test results were also classified as "very good" with a score of 92%. Therefore, it can be concluded that Meterban is an appropriate tool for delivering scientific content on the human digestive system.
