Abstract

Based on pre data study obtained results that eye lesson biology on class X high school level in particular Theory ecosystem still impressed difficult for students who have accept learning it's on the spot observation researcher, with reason boring, no interesting, lots memorization, a lot sentence scientific / foreign words and lazy read. Still many student feel the media used the not yet efficient and not enough interesting in the learning process biology. This thing caused on non-maximal learning process teach. as a result student not enough concentration in learning the so that student feel bored and bored, finally the learning process not yet achieved with perfect. Study this aim for knowing appropriateness and quality as well as for knowing response student to learning media scrapbook on Theory ecosystem. Method research used in study this is RND with use developed design by Borg and Gall. Results from study Average score expert the is 91.36 % with criteria very worth. This thing show that quality of learning media scrapbook Theory developed ecosystem _ based on evaluation expert materials, media experts, and expert language very worthy used as a learning medium. Percentage evaluation by field teacher studies of 84.5 % criteria very worth. Whereas acquisition percentage test try scale limited of 95.2 % with criteria very worth. Results from test response student get percentage 90% with criteria very good. From result percentage the then the media can used with good in learning ecosystem class X high school.

Abstract

Tree Species Diversity at Kebon Rojo, Blitar City. Kebon Rojo is one of the open green spaces in Blitar City. This area has a variety of vegetation, one of which is trees. Diversity of tree species in this area has not been recorded. This study aims to determine the diversity of tree species at Kebon Rojo. The method used is the Je method by recording and documenting the diversity of trees in this area. The level of diversity was calculated using the Shannon Wiener index. The results of this study revealed that there were 322 trees belonging to 26 families, 36 species. The Shannon Wiener Diversity Index is 3.5. This value indicates the diversity of tree species at Kebon Rojo is high

Abstract

Kajian tentang miskonsepsi yang ditemukan pada buku ajar pernah dilaporkan dalam berbagai penelitian. Ajang pertemuan ilmiah yang diikuti oleh guru dan calon guru bisa mendukung peningkatan kompetensi keilmuan sehingga bisa memperkuat pengetahuan yang diperlukan untuk menyaring buku ajar yang baik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajarannya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan bentuk bedah buku pada materi genetika dalam tiga buku Biologi untuk siswa di kelas XII SMA yang banyak digunakan di Kota Pontianak menurut hasil survei di 27 SMA pada semester gazal TA 2021/2022.  Aspek yang dikaji dari ketiga buku ajar meliputi 1) kesesuaian dengan kurikulum dan kompetensi dasar, 2) urutan/ sistematika dalam memahami konsep, 3) konten/ kebenaran konsep, 4) tata bahasa dan penulisan, 5) tampilan dan kemenarikan, dan 6) tuntutan dalam soal latihan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 34 peserta yang terdiri atas 6 orang dosen, 16 guru, 11 mahasiswa, dan 1 umum. Pemaparan materi berjalan dengan lancar oleh keempat narasumber. Peserta menilai bahwa kegiatan ini penting untuk menggali pengetahuan yang lebih dalam dan lebih luas dalam memahami konsep pada materi genetika yang sebenarnya.

Abstract

Abstract: THE EFFECT OF THE KNISLEY INTEGRATED STEAM LEARNING MODEL ON NUMERATIC LITERACY AND LEARNING OUTCOMES IN CLASS IV ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS. The research aims are to (1) examine the effect of the Knisley integrated STEAM learning model on the numeracy literacy of fourth grade elementary school students and (2) the effect of the Knisley integrated STEAM learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students, in mathematics. Experimental method with Quasi-Experimental Design and Nonequevalent Control Group Design. The population was fourth grade students at Kanigoro 03 Public Elementary School. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, and the technique used for data analysis was prerequisite test (1) normality test (2) homogeneity test while hypothesis testing used ANACOVA. The results of the analysis show: first, there is a comparison of the numeracy literacy abilities of students who take classes with the Knisley integrated STEAM learning model versus the face-to-face learning model (lectures). the significance value of the pre-test, post-test of numeracy literacy is 0.000 means (0.00 <0.05), both of which are differences in the ability of cognitive learning outcomes of students who take classes with the Knisley integrated STEAM learning model and the Face-to-face learning model (lectures) value initial significance and learning outcomes that is 0.000 means (0.00 <0.05). Thus, it was found that the Knisley integrated STEAM learning model had an effect on numeracy literacy and fourth grade student learning outcomes.Keywords: STEAM learning model, Knisley learning model, numeracy literacy, learning outcomes.Abstrak: PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN STEAM TERINTEGRASI KNISLEY TERHADAP LITERASI NUMERASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR. Penelitian memiliki tujuan guna (1) menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi Knisley terhadap literasi numerasi siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar dan (2) pengaruh model pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi Knisley terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar, dimata pelajaran matematika. Metode ekperimen dengan rancangan Quasi-Eksperimental Design dan desain Nonequevalent Control Group Design. Populasi adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Kanigoro 03. Penetapan sampel memakai teknik sampling purposive, dan teknik yang digunakan untuk analisis data adalah uji prasyarat (1) uji normalitas (2) uji homogenitas sementara itu uji hipotesis menggunakan ANACOVA. Hasil analisis menujukan: pertama, didapati perbandingan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa yang mengikuti kelas dengan model pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi Knisley versus model pembelajaran Tatap muka (ceramah). nilai signifikansi pre-test, post-test literasi numerasi yaitu 0,000 berarti (0,00 < 0,05), keduanya merupakan perbedaan kemampuan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang menggikuti kelas dengan model pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi Knisley dan model pembelajaran Tatap muka (ceramah) nilai signifikansi awal dan hasil belajar yaitu 0,000 berarti (0,00 < 0,05). Demikian, didapati kesimpulan model pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi Knisley berpengaruh terhadap literasi numerasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV.Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran STEAM, model pembelajaran Knisley, literasi numerasi, hasil belajar

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 in the 21st century presents its own challenges for all groups, including preservice teachers, to be able to quickly adapt to the progress of the times and technology, and solve all problems quickly, precisely, and wisely. To face the challenges of the 21st century, students need good critical thinking skills. By possessing good critical thinking skills, students can plan, monitor, and evaluate the steps they take both in learning activities and in problem solving. This study aims to describe the critical thinking skills of preservice teachers at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Islam Balitar. This survey research was conducted in April–August 2020 with a total sample of 118 students from the Biology Education, Pancasila and Civic Education, English Education, and Elementary School Teacher Education study programs. Critical thinking skills were measured by an essay test and analyzed with the critical thinking rubric developed by Zubaidah et al. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students' critical thinking skills were in the underdeveloped category.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the effect of RUSA (Ruang Siswa), an Android-based learning media with appypie application, and figure out the validity of the media to enhance motivation and learning outcome of grade X students in Animalia material. The method of this research was Pre-experimental. The type of (R&D). This development model applied Borg & Gall procedure which was limited up to the seventh step, that is, product revision. Based on the hypothetical test of the effect of RUSA (Ruang Siswa) on students’ motivation using t test, and the effect of RUSA on learning outcome using Ancova test, it was obtained that the significance value of RUSA (Ruang Siswa) was 0.000. Since the significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on the result of validity test by media experts, the validity percentage was 74.50% classified as valid criteria, Material expert was 77.03% with classified as valid criteria, Language expert was 83.33% classified as very valid criteria. In addition, the data from students showed the percentage of 89.14% classified as valid criteria, and from the Biology teachers was 75.33% classified as valid criteria. Therefore, it is clear that there was an effect of using RUSA (Ruang Siswa) on students’ motivation and learning outcome. Referring to the validity result, RUSA (Ruang Siswa) is valid to use.

Abstract

Desa Sumbersih, Kabupaten Blitar, telah menjalani proyek pelibatan masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas Kelompok Tani "Budi Daya" dan Karang Taruna "Bhakti Husada Pertiwi". Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat Kolaborasi Sosial Membangun Masyarakat (KOSABANGSA) ini melibatkan Universitas Islam Balitar (UNISBA) Blitar dan Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur (UPNVJT) dalam melaksanakan program pengabdian terlebih dahulu berupa observasi dan wawancara, selanjutnya ceramah mengenai proses pembuatan beras analog dan tahapan teakhir evaluasi keterampilan peserta dalam produksi beras analog. Tujuannya adalah untuk menciptakan diversifikasi umbi-umbian menjadi beras analog yang bernilai tinggi sehingga dapat menjadi opsi peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat setempat. Proyek ini melibatkan pengamatan dan wawancara dengan para petani, memberikan pelatihan praktis, dan menilai antusiasme serta keterampilan mereka dalam prosesnya. Hasilnya, kegiatan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi ini berhasil memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terkait olahan umbi-umbian yang bernilai tinggi berupa beras analog. Adapun tindak lanjut dari pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan branding dan labeling, digital entrepreneur serta pembuatan web digital marketing denagn tujuan untuk  mempermudah dalam memasarkan produk beras analog ini.

Abstract

The coastal area of Peh Pulo Beach, located in the Blitar Regency, has a high potential for biodiversity, including macroalgae. This research aims to understand the community structure and diversity of macroalgae at Peh Pulo Beach. The sampling was conducted on August 2023 using the 1 x 1 m quadrant transect method. Macroalgae were collected at three observation stations, with three plots observed at each station. Abiotic environmental parameters measured included temperature, salinity, pH, light intensity, and substrate. The results of macroalgae identification at Peh Pulo Beach reveal 21 species belonging to 16 genera and 14 families. These species were classified into Chlorophyta (9 species), Phaeophyta (4 species), and Rhodophyta (8 species). The Shannon Diversity Index value obtained is 2.84, indicating that the macroalgae diversity along the coast of Peh Pulo falls under the moderate category.

Abstract

Science subject in elementary school is a subject that invites students to reason about the surrounding natural conditions. The findings of the researchers indicate that there is a shortage of science learning facilities at several elementary schools in Blitar. As much as 84% of students in the observation stated that science lessons were difficult to understand. In addition, teachers and students who were interviewed stated that e-book teaching materials were interesting as science teaching materials, especially in materials on adaptation of living things to grade V SD. Therefore, researchers proposed Bosiva as a solution for developing new teaching materials in natural science material for adaptation of living things in digital form. This research is based on modified R&D which includes potential and problem formulation, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision. Researchers developed Bosiva to find results for material expert validation of 86%, language validation of 93%, and media validation of 95% which all stated very feasible. In addition, the results of the teacher's readability test were 95% and the student's readability test was 97% which were also classified as very feasible. So, it can be concluded that Bosiva is a breakthrough in the development of android-based teaching materials to support learning adaptation of living things.

Abstract

The results of observations and interviews revealed that the use of learning media is still lacking, with most teachers only relying on the lecture method. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of VISIKO (Ecosystem Animation Video) teaching media in teaching ecosystem material to grade V students. This type of research follows the RnD method developed by Sugiyono, with limitations up to the seventh stage, namely product revision. The feasibility assessment of learning media is carried out by a number of experts, including material experts, media experts, and linguists. In addition, the readability score of VISIKO teaching media was tested by involving 10 representative students from grade 5 at SDN Sumberjo 01, as well as 5 teachers from SDN Sumberjo 01, SDN Bajang 01, and SD Alam Al Ghifari Blitar. The results showed that VISIKO (Video Animation Ecosystem) teaching media products received high feasibility scores from various validators, namely material experts by 87.6%, media experts by 98.8%, and linguists by 91.4%. With an average eligibility percentage of 92.6%, this product can be considered very viable. Limited trials involving teachers also resulted in a readability rate of 92.8%, while students gave a readability score of 97.7%. Based on teacher and student assessments, this product is considered very good and very easy to understand, making it suitable for use in learning ecosystem materials for grade 5 students.
