Abstract

This study aims to provide a conceptual and philosophical analysis of the distinctions between ethics, morals, values, and aesthetics, while also formulating the normative foundations of Islamic ethics as an integrative ethical system. Employing a qualitative approach with a library research method, the study critically examines both classical and contemporary literature in Western philosophy and Islamic thought. A conceptual-comparative analysis was applied to identify similarities, differences, and intersections among these terms. The findings reveal that ethics represents a normative reflection on human actions, morals relate to socially accepted norms, values serve as guiding principles of behavior, and aesthetics emphasizes the dimension of beauty in art and conduct. Within the Islamic perspective, these concepts are comprehensively integrated, with revelation (the Qur’an and Sunnah) serving as the ultimate foundation. Islamic ethics is characterized as theocentric, holistic, and oriented toward both worldly and eternal well-being. Its core principles include tawhid (monotheism), justice, enjoining good and forbidding evil, and tazkiyat al-nafs (self-purification). Thus, this study affirms that Islamic ethics is not only normative but also practical and highly relevant as a moral framework in addressing contemporary global challenges and the dynamics of modern civilization.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the results of the implementation of the tahfiz al-Qur'an learning program at the tahfizhul Qur'an al-Imam Ashim Makassar Islamic boarding school. This type of research is classified as qualitative with the research approach used being a theological-normative and pedagogical approach. The data sources in this research are foundation administrators and teachers in the tahfiz al-Qur'an program. Furthermore, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews, documentation and reference tracking. Then, data processing and analysis techniques are carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Al-Qur'an learning program is said to be good based on the various achievements and graduation activities that have been achieved and participated in by the students of the Al-Qur'an Tahfiz program. To the leadership and supervisors of the Tahfizhul Qur'an Al-Imam Ashim Makassar Islamic Boarding School to continuously encourage and contribute to developing the learning system in terms of concepts and providing intensive supervision. To teachers and teachers of the Koran to continue to innovate and develop various models and learning strategies in teaching the Koran, so that students can adapt models that suit their talents and abilities. Students should always maintain istiqamah in good behavior, especially regarding ethics and manners regarding learning the Koran. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk hasil implementasi pembelajaran program tahfiz al-Qur’an di pondok pesantren tahfizhul Qur’an al-Imam Ashim Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah teologi-normatif dan pendekatan paedagogik. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah pengurus yayasan dan juga guru-guru pada program tahfiz al-Qur’an. Selanjutnya metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan penelusuran referensi. Lalu, teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran program al-Qur’an dapat dikatakan baik berdasarkan berbagai prestasi dan kegiatan wisuda yang diraih dan diikuti oleh para santri program tahfiz al-Qur’an. Kepada pimpinan dan para pengawas Pondok Pesantrean Tahfizhul Qur’an Al-Imam Ashim Makassar untuk terus-menerus mendorong dan memberikan kontribusi dalam mengembangkan sistem pembelajaran dari segi konsep dan memberikan pengawasan yang intensif. Kepada guru dan pengajar al-Qur’an untuk terus berinovasi dan mengembangkan berbagai macam model dan strategi pembelajaran dalam mengajarkan al-Qur’an, sehingga para santri dapat menyesuaikan model yang sesuai dengan bakat dan kemampuan mereka. Bagi santri hendaknya selalu menjaga keistiqamahan dalam berperilaku baik khususnya kepada etika dan adab terhadap pembelajaran al-Qur’an.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the adaptation of Sufi and Salafi thought in response to social, cultural, and technological changes in the contemporary era marked by rapid urbanization and digitalization. The research employs a qualitative approach with a focus on text analysis to depict how these two streams adapt to the dynamics of digitized urban environments. Data collection involves participatory observation and document analysis. The findings indicate that Sufism and Salafism are significant phenomena in contemporary Islam undergoing substantial adaptation to modern urban social, cultural, and technological changes. Sufism encounters new challenges and opportunities in the digital age, utilizing technology to disseminate its teachings globally. Meanwhile, Salafism emphasizes a return to pure Islamic teachings and faces challenges such as negative stigma and interactions with evolving societal norms. Both streams not only reflect the complexity of modern Islamic societies but also play crucial roles in shaping the religious identities and practices of individuals amidst the evolving social and technological dynamics. The implications of this research can support the development of strategies or policies promoting social harmony and religious integration in complex and evolving urban environments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pandangan Islam mengenai konsep triologi kecerdasan, yaitu kecerdasan intelektual (IQ), kecerdasan emosional (EQ), dan kecerdasan spiritual (SQ), serta perbedaannya dengan teori kecerdasan yang berkembang di Barat, khususnya teori EQ dari Daniel Goleman dan Multiple Intelligences dari Howard Gardner. Dalam Islam, kecerdasan dipandang sebagai anugerah dari Allah yang tidak hanya terbatas pada kemampuan berpikir logis dan mengelola emosi, tetapi juga mencakup dimensi spiritual yang berhubungan dengan hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan. Pendekatan Islam memberikan penekanan khusus pada SQ sebagai fondasi utama yang mengarahkan IQ dan EQ, membentuk manusia yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual dan emosional, tetapi juga memiliki tujuan hidup yang lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa konsep kecerdasan dalam Islam lebih holistik dan seimbang, di mana setiap kecerdasan saling melengkapi dan membentuk karakter insan kamil. Konsep ini diharapkan dapat menjadi panduan bagi pengembangan pendidikan yang berorientasi pada keseimbangan antara duniawi dan ukhrawi.

Abstract

Pada Jurnal ini akan dibahas terkait persamaan dan perbedaan sekte utama dalam syi’ah. Yaitu Sekte Imamiyah, Zaidiyah, dan Isma’iliyah dari segi keyakinan. Ketiga sekte ini memilki pemahaman yang unik terkait doktrin, praktek keagamaan dan kepemimpinan. Sekte Imamiyah terkenal dengan kepercayaannya terkait kepemimpinan umat islam yang dipimpin oleh dua belas Imam. Sedangkan sekte Zaidiyah mengakui bahwa Imam Zaid bin Ali bin Husain sebagai pemimpin mereka yang sah. Sementara itu disisi lain sekte Isma’iliyah meyakini adanya rangkaian imam yang tidak terputus dengan Ismai’il bin Ja’far yang bertindak sebagai imam ketujuh. Perbedaan-perbedaan ini telah menyebabkan perdebatan teologis yang berkelanjutan di antara ketiga sekte Syiah ini, namun selain perbedaan ketiga aliran syi’ah ini juga memiliki kesamaan dalam hal prinsip-prinsip dasar Islam Syi’ah. Metode yang digunakan dalam jurnal ini adalah metode penelitian literature.

Abstract

This article aims to find out the essence of An-Nafs based on Islamic thought and explain An-Nafs and Islamic Education according to the interpretation of Islamic philosophers or thinkers. This research is carried out through a qualitative approach with a literature study approach. The preparation of the article is carried out by examining various sources that are directly related to the focus of this research. The main sources of research data are reference books and research articles published in various scientific journals and indexed by google scholar. Data collection was carried out using the keyword "an-nafs in Islamic thought". Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that An-nafs means that human beings in totality, substance, and nature of God, have a human essence consisting of a part of the spirit that is integrated with the body (body). Based on Al-Kindi's view, an-nafs is jauhar basit (a single substance) with divine and spiritual characteristics, has a noble and perfect meaning. An-nafs is a spiritual distance, so its relationship with the body is axal. Although an-nafs is united with the body, with which it can carry out its activities, but an-nafs remains separate and distinct from the body, so that it is eternal after death. According to Al-Ghazali, human beings consist of al-nafs (soul), al-spirit, and al-jism (body).

Abstract

This article aims to find out the thought of emanation and its relationship to modern science. This article uses a qualitative approach with the literature study method. This method is intended to examine various sources relevant to the focus of this research. The main sources of research data are scientific books and articles published in various scientific journals and indexed on the google scholar database. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that the philosophical basis of the concept of emanation is the desire to avoid God from the pluralist nature in order to purify the oneness of God from all material things. The creation of the cosmos with the theory of emanation will confirm the opinion that this realm is qadim in the sense that it experiences continuous creation with different faces and shapes. It is not qadim in the sense that it is equal to God the creator who is qadim in nature. The theory of emanation in the world of modern science finds its relevance in the Big Bang theory which says that nature is created from a big bang process that begins with a heating process so that it develops until it emits a loud sound

Abstract

Berada di titik ekstrim atau melewati batas kewajaran dikenal sebagai radikalisme. Radikalisme dalam Islam dapat didefinisikan sebagai paham atau gerakan yang menginterpretasikan ajaran agama secara ekstrem dan kaku, sering kali tanpa memperhatikan konteks sosial, sejarah, atau kemanusiaan. Radikalisme muncul ketika ajaran Islam diterapkan secara literal dan menolak perbedaan, yang dapat mengarah pada tindakan intoleransi dan bahkan kekerasan terhadap pihak lain yang dianggap tidak sesuai atau "tidak murni" secara keagamaan. Faktor-faktor yang Memengaruhi Timbulnya Radikalismeadalah (a) Faktor Ekonomi dan Sosial, (b) faktor Politik dan Ketidakadila, (c) faktor Ideologis dan Pendidikan, (d) Faktor Globalisasi dan Pengaruh Media Sosia, (e)Faktor Psikologis dan Kebutuhan Akan Identitas, (f) faktor Sejarah dan Konflik Regional. Radikalisme memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kehidupan beragama dan bermasyarakat. Dampak ini tidak hanya memengaruhi stabilitas dan keamanan suatu negara, tetapi juga merusak nilai-nilai toleransi dan keberagaman yang seharusnya menjadi dasar kehidupan bermasyarakat. Cara mencegah radikalisme dalam Islam memerlukan kerja sama antara pemerintah, ulama, dan masyarakat karena setiap pihak memiliki peran strategis yang saling melengkapi. Kolaborasi antara pemerintah, ulama, dan masyarakat dalam mencegah radikalisme sangat penting. Pemerintah berperan melalui kebijakan dan program, ulama menyampaikan ajaran agama yang moderat, sementara masyarakat memperkuat ketahanan sosial. Abstract

This article discusses the importance of synergizing the three types of human intelligence, namely spiritual, emotional and intellectual intelligence, through the perspective of revelation. According to the Quran, humans were created with hearing, sight and conscience as a means to understand and manage themselves in a balanced manner. Spiritual intelligence is related to the human ability to establish a close relationship with the Creator, emotional intelligence is related to the ability to manage emotions and empathize, and intellectual intelligence is related to the ability to think critically, creatively, and innovatively. The research approach in this study will use a qualitative approach with a library research method. Where this research wants to explore and understand the concept and perspective of revelation in synergizing spiritual, emotional, and intellectual intelligence. The data analysis technique in this research is content analysis where the process is to analyze the content and meaning of the data sources collected, then interpretation and synthesis, namely by understanding, interpreting, and synthesizing information from various sources to build a comprehensive understanding. The results show that the current phenomenon shows that many people only develop one aspect of intelligence, resulting in an imbalance. Individuals who only focus on developing intellectual intelligence tend to become rigid, self-centered, and insensitive. Conversely, individuals who only develop spiritual and emotional intelligence tend to be less able to think critically and face life's challenges effectively. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of synergizing the three aspects of intelligence through the perspective of revelation so that humans can achieve true blessings and happiness in life and carry out their functions and responsibilities as caliphs on earth.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsep dasar hermeneutika, fungsi hermeneutika dalam sejarah perkembangannya, penerapan hemeneutika dalam penafsiran teks, dan pro-kontra terhadap penerapan hermeneutika dalam penafisran teks Al-Qur’an. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kepustakaan atau Library Research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, secara singkat hermeneutika adalah metode intepretasi terhadap teks yang ambigu agar dapat difahami dengan baik oleh pembacanya. Fungsi hermeneutika dalam sejarah perkembangannya terbagi mejadi 6 kategori yaitu: 1) hermeneutika sebagai teori penafsiran kitab klasik, (2) heremeneutika sebagai metode filologi, (3) hermeneutika sebagai suatu pemahman linguistik, (4) hermeneutika sebagai pondasi ilmu humaniora, (5) humaniora sebagai pemahaman eksistensial, dan (6) hermeneutika sebagai sistem intepretasi. Pendekatan hermeneutika dalam Al-Qur’an bedasarkan pada tiga asumsi dasar dalam penafsirannya, yaitu: (1) penafsir adalah manusia, (2) Penafsiran tidak dapat lepas dari bahasa, sejarah dan tradisi, (3) Setiap teks memiliki nuansa sosio-historis dan linguistik. Kehadiran hermeneutika sebagai metode interpretasi Al-Qur'an menuai reaksi pro dan kontra dari cendekiawan Muslim di Indonesia.
