Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of optimal collaboration between the Village Government and the community in the development of mangrove educational tourism in Babakan Village, Pangandaran District. The problems found include limited budgets for the procurement of educational infrastructure, low community participation, and lack of innovation from the management. This research aims to find out the extent to which the collaboration is running. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through literature studies, structured interviews, and observations. The results of the study show that the collaboration that has been established has not been optimal. Barriers include limited time and resources to support intensive communication, information complexity that reduces mutual trust and understanding, and differences in priorities and participation saturation that weaken commitment. Efforts that have been made include simplifying information through visual/digital media, establishing more informal discussion forums, and allocating more adequate resources to support sustainable development. It is necessary to increase the role and synergy between all parties so that the development of mangrove educational tourism can run more effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the leadership style of the Cilampunghilir Village Head in implementing village governance. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants were selected purposively, including the village head, village secretary, village officials, hamlet heads, and relevant community leaders. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the village head's leadership style tends to be democratic and participatory. The village head emphasizes collective decision-making by prioritizing consensus through deliberation and encouraging citizen involvement in every step of governance. In decision-making, the village head strives to involve the wider community so that policy outcomes are well-received. In terms of motivation, the village head actively provides encouragement, rewards, and builds reciprocal cooperation with village officials and residents. He recognizes the importance of appreciation and trust in order to build a cooperative work environment. Furthermore, in communication, the village head is known for being open, accessible, and willing to listen to the aspirations of villagers. In terms of controlling subordinates, the village head provides clear direction, delegates tasks according to competence, and enforces discipline to ensure the smooth implementation of village programs. This indicates a leadership style that balances authority with empowerment. However, the study also identified several weaknesses, including a lack of representation of marginalized groups, low frequency of outreach activities, and unequal access to information. Therefore, it is recommended that deliberation forums be strengthened with a more inclusive approach, diversified outreach methods through the use of digital channels, and increased transparency be implemented to optimize village governance.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the branding of local food products through the utilization of chatbot technology and the application of the green economy concept at Sukapulang Agrotourism in Ciamis Regency. The partner faced challenges, including limited digital marketing strategies and insufficient understanding of the importance of a green economy in managing local food businesses. To address these issues, participants were introduced to the use of chatbots as an interactive web-based tool to improve promotion and customer service efficiency, alongside the implementation of green economy principles to enhance business sustainability.The program employed several methods, including educational outreach, hands-on practice in operating simple chatbots, and group discussions on sustainable branding strategies. Participants were guided to design practical applications of chatbot features for marketing and consumer interaction, while simultaneously exploring ways to integrate environmentally friendly practices into daily business operations. The training also emphasized strategies for reducing waste, optimizing resource use, and enhancing local product value through eco-conscious initiatives. Results indicate that participants experienced significant improvements in both knowledge and skills, particularly in combining digital technology with environmentally friendly business practices. They gained practical insights into how technological innovation can support marketing efforts, while green economy principles encourage long-term sustainability. This integration of digital tools and eco-friendly practices is expected to increase the competitiveness of local food products and strengthen Sukapulang Agrotourism’s position as a creative economy hub. Ultimately, the program demonstrates that community-based interventions leveraging digital innovation and environmental awareness can foster sustainable economic growth, enhance local entrepreneurship, and promote a more resilient and environmentally responsible business ecosystem.

Abstract

Tourism is a strategic sector for boosting the village economy. Kertayasa Village, Cijulang District, Pangandaran Regency, has significant tourism potential, both in terms of nature and culture. However, this potential has not been optimally managed due to a lack of synergy between the parties involved. This study aims to analyze multi-sectoral village collaboration in enhancing the potential of tourist destinations in Kertayasa Village. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants came from the village government, tourism stakeholders, local communities, academics, business actors, and the media. The results indicate that although collaboration between the pentahelix elements has been established, it has not been optimally implemented. Institutional strengthening, capacity building, and integrated tourism planning and governance are needed to ensure sustainable development of tourism potential. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pemberdayaan Kelompok Tani Rindik Indah di Desa Guranteng, Tasikmalaya, melalui Program Tani Hibrida yang diinisiasi Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian (BPP) yang belum berjalan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keberhasilan pemberdayaan tersebut. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, data dikumpulkan dari data primer melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan 9 informan ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Data sekunder diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan Kelompok Tani Rindik Indah belum optimal. Hambatan utama meliputi keterbatasan pendampingan, sosialisasi, dan pengawasan dari BPP akibat kurangnya sumber daya manusia. Upaya yang dilakukan meliputi peningkatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan, pendekatan personal dan diskusi kelompok, dan perbaikan sarana prasarana. Temuan ini sangat penting karena menyoroti area krusial yang memerlukan perbaikan dalam program pemberdayaan pertanian untuk mencapai hasil yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the role of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Griya Wanita Mandiri Social Service Centre in supporting social rehabilitation programmes for homeless women, as well as explore their future orientation in meeting the developmental and rehabilitation needs of women who are homeless. Conducted from October 2023 to June 2024, this research used qualitative methods such as interviews and observations. The results showed that the role and skills of the social service centre in facilitating the utilisation of the skills and resources of prostituted women have been running effectively. However, the motivation provided by social workers to prostitute women is still not optimal. In the role and skills of education, social workers have been able to provide physical, health, and recreational guidance training to prostituted women. Spiritual awareness provided through spiritual guidance still needs to be improved. The role and skills of representation have gone well, as evidenced by the programmes organised by the social service centre that have provided adequate understanding to prostituted women through social rehabilitation services. However, the social problem-solving by the social service centre for women who are prostitutes is not yet optimal, as evidenced by the ineffective relationship between social workers and fellow caseworkers in carrying out social rehabilitation for women who are prostitutes.

Abstract

Kurangnya perencanaan peningkatan kesejahteraan dan taraf hidup masyarakat di Desa Kertabumi, Ciamis melalui pelaksanaan Program Desa Keluarga Berkualitas (KKB), menjadi pendorong penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu memastikan seberapa jauh strategi ini telah digunakan dan efektivitasnya. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, digunakan pada penelitian ini pada7 informan dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara terstruktur, dokumentasi, dan observasi partisipan pasif. Sementara untuk analisis datanya digunakan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pelaksanaan Program KKB. Faktor pendukung meliputi koordinasi antara pemerintah desa dan pengurus KKB yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pelayanan program. Faktor penghambat meliputi kekurangan dalam komunikasi, sumber daya, dan kerjasama antara pengurus dan masyarakat KKB. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan dukungan sumber daya finansial untuk memperlancar kerjasama antara pengurus KKB dan masyarakat. Dalam analisis pembahasan, strategi oleh pengurus KKB menekankan pada empat fokus utama: pengamatan lingkungan, perumusan strategi, implementasi strategi, serta evaluasi dan pengendalian.

Abstract

Abstract This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve literacy among the residents of Winduraja Village, Kawali Subdistrict, Ciamis Regency through training in reading aloud for PKK cadres and parents of MIS Winduraja students. A descriptive qualitative method was used, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The activity was conducted at the Gada Membaca Winduraja Community from July 30 to August 12, 2025, and included presentations on reading aloud techniques, hands-on practice, and interactive discussions. The results of the activity showed that the reading aloud method was effective in increasing reading interest, enriching vocabulary, and strengthening the emotional bond between readers and listeners. PKK cadres and parents acquired skills in vocalization, intonation, and selecting appropriate reading materials, enabling them to become literacy facilitators within families and communities. The long-term implication is the creation of a sustainable family- and community-based literacy ecosystem in Winduraja Village.  Keywords: Literacy, Reading Aloud, PKK Cadres, Parents

Abstract

The lack of political education for the people of Ciamis Regency in local head elections has an impact on the lack of voter information on local head candidates, so that political behavior is based on assumptions and non-rational factors. Voters are vulnerable to negative influences in the local head election process and are rooted in political fraud at the grassroots. This study aims to determine Voters response to public information disclosure policies in the local head election of Ciamis Regency 2024. The research method uses qualitative research with an explanatory approach. The results showed that the level of community response in Ciamis Regency in the pre-election process of local head elections was quite high, as evidenced by the many positive comments and the enthusiasm of the community to express their opinions on social media platforms regarding candidates for Regent and Deputy Regent in the 2024 local head elections. Furthermore, to increase voter participation in future local head elections, the General Election Commission of Ciamis Regency must increase the intensity of socialization, political education, and conduct extensive social media monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimization of the role of the Tourism Awareness Group in increasing the tourist attraction of Nanggerang Cliff in Bagolo Village, Kalipucang District, Pangandaran Regency. Bagolo Village is the village that has the most tourism potential compared to other villages in Kalipucang District. One of them is the Nanggerang Cliff Tourist Attraction located in Bagolokolot Hamlet. However, the role of Pokdarwis in increasing the tourist attraction of Nanggerang Cliff cannot be said to be optimal, this is evidenced by the existence of problem indicators including 1) lack of adequate human resources in the Bagolo Village Pokdarwis both in managing and increasing the tourist attractions of Nanggerang Cliff. 2) The Bagolo Village Pokdarwis are not optimal in establishing cooperation with the government or the private sector in obtaining financial support for the development of Nanggerang Cliff. 3) lack of promotion carried out by the Bagolo Village Pokdarwis to introduce Nanggerang Cliff. The research method used is a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the role of Pokdarwis in increasing the tourist attraction of Nanggerang Cliff has not gone well.
