Pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyrakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan ketetampilan menulis ilmiah dengan berbantu alat ilmiah bagi guru MTS.s Lab IKIP Al Washliyah Kecamatan Medan Amplas. Peserta pelatihan ini terdiri dari 15 guru dari berbagai bidang studi. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan ini mencakup pendahuluan, sosialisasi, demonstrasi menavigasi tulisan ilmiah sebagai rujukan menulis dengan menggunakan alat digital, pelatihan teknik mensitasi dan parafrase, small group discussion, evaluasi, pengisian angket, dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi aktifitas peserta dapat dilihat bahwa seluruh peserta mengikuti pelatihan dengan baik dilihat dari; aktifitas visual, aktifitas lisan, aktifitas menulis, dan aktif emosional. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil angket seluruh peserta memiliki respon yang sangat positif dari kegiatan ini. Guru menyadari keterampilan menulis ilmiah sangat dibutuhkan sebagai keterampilan komunikasi lisan di era digital.

This study aims to determine students' learning difficulties in chemistry by using zoom in achieving cognitive, sociological and psychological aspects and to further examine the difficulties faced by students. Data collection using questionnaires and tests, then using the K-Means Cluster data analysis technique, with three clusters (groups) followed by crosstab and graph analysis, using SPSS IBM 22 and followed by the RASH model. the results obtained are that (a) cognitive aspects in the form of student thinking, followed by sociological aspects and psychological aspects related to students' internal factors (b) cognitive results are tested more deeply with the Expended Score Graph. The ICC is in accordance with the RASH Model, the difficult questions to work on are questions 10 and 13 are in the analysis (C4), the Outfit MNSQ value is between 0.5-0.15 and then from the Probability graph of Student Cognitive Ability is well distributed, thus the difficulty in the cognitive aspect lies in the questions presented. These results are very useful for identifying students' cognitive limitations in chemistry learning. Thus, from the results, it is explained that cognitive is the main difficulty, with the RASCH test it is known that the level of difficulty is at the analysis.

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, fokus kepada mitra yaitu Guru MTs Swasta LAB IKIP Al Washliyah yang dominan pada guru berusia antara 35 – 40 tahun, yang memiliki permasalahan tentang penggunaan penguasaan produksi multimedia digital, hasil wawancara diketahui bahwa 60% guru masih fokus kepada kegiatan Latihan yang bersifat konvensional bahkan jarang menggunakan media, walau sudah melewati masa pandemic selama satu tahun, tetap guru masih mengalami kesulitan menciptakan media yang mampu menstimulus peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi kepada guru bahwa media audivisual berupa power point dapat dijadikan video dan dapat mengunggah video tersebut ke media social baik dalam bentuk reels ataupun youtube, sehingga pembelajaran dapat berlangsung menyenangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan tahapan pendahuluan, sosialiasasi dengan pendekatan inkuiri dan Team Games Tournament (TGT) dan evaluasi dengan observasi dan pengisian angket Skala Likert untuk mengetahui peningkatan dan keberhasilan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Hasil yang diperoleh 80% guru menyakini pentingnya media dalam proses pembelajaran sebagai stimulus keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran di era new normal dan factor keberhasilan kegiatan adalah minat guru dan kebutuhan penggunanaan media dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan memberikan kontribusi bahwa pembelajaran akan menjadi berhasil jika guru mampu menstimulus dan beradaptasi dengan perkembnagan teknologi selama proses pembelajaran untuk peserta didik usia 12 – 15 tahun sehingga peserta didik mampu mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menyenangkan.

This research discussed the difficulties in reading section of TOEFL test by the students. This research used qualitative method with a thematic analysis approach.The instrumental of this research was EFL students learning outcomes and Interview. This research was carried out at Universities Muslim Nusantara Muslim Al-Washliyah Medan. The subject of this research there were 3 semester 8 students chosen as the participants of the research. The criteria as follows 1 student with higher TOEFL score, 1 student with moderate TOEFL score, and 1 student with lower TOEFL score. The result of research was found namely; vocabulary, fluency, and reasoning and background knowledge. That there are themes namely kinds of vocabulary; reading speed and background knowledge the students need to repeat reading the text for more than 5 times in order to find out the meaning for the unfamiliar vocabulary. The spesific vocabulary such as : science, health and nature phenomena. In this care the students with lower TOEFL score found that lack background knowledge make them being slower in reading the text

Sistem pendidikan Indonesia saat ini menuntut para pengajar untuk mampu merancang sebuah tugas proyek kreatif agar mencapai tuntutan kehidupan nyata di abad 21. Namun, para pengajar di lembaga Kursus Bahasa Inggris Yayasan SAS ANA Group masih mengalami kesulitan mengaplikasikan Project-based learning secara sistematis. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini, solusi yang diberikan adalah pelatihan pembuatan tugas proyek kreatif melalui implementasi Project-based Learning. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan sosialisasi, demonstrasi, diskusi, evaluasi, dan pengisian angket untuk mengukur pemahaman para pengajar. Hasil angket mengungkapkan bahwa para pengajar dapat merancang sebuah tugas proyek sederhana, namun mereka kurang memiliki banyak referensi sehingga muncul rasa khawatir ketika harus mengubah cara pengajaran sebelumnya dengan implementasi Project-based Learning seutuhnya.

This study aims to determine the perception of EFL students towards learning English during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMKN 3 Medan. The data collection is done through interviews. There were 6 students of grade XI APL 4 participating in this study. Since this research has explored students’ perception and motivation derived from students’ experiences during distance studying carried out due to the covid-19 pandemic. Descriptive research using qualitative technique is considered the right approach. The results of this study are presented descriptively to reveal students’ perception and motivation comprehensively. The result found that E-Learning got a bad perception because it was flexible and ineffective.

The phenomenon of mobile legend is quite widespread among tertiary students,because all of this game this game is using English, unique, and everyone interested to play this game. . The purpose of this research was to investigate students' perceptions of mobile legends on vocabulary. A qualitative research method with thematic analysis was applied in this research and the subjects of this research were four students of the Universitas Muslim Nusantara Al-Washliyah. Coming to different departments namely; 2 English students with higher experience in learning English, and 2 non English students with less experience in learning English. Based on the result of interview, there were four themes found, namely; Curiosity,Interaction,Obstacle,Confidence, it is implied that all of the EFL students’ have the same level in the curiosity and confidence theme, therefore all of the EFL students’ had the different level in interaction and obstacle. It turned out that the educational background had an impact on this research.

Listening music through music streaming has become part of tertiary students’ activities. Music streaming is one of the media that can improve students' English pronunciation. The purpose of this research was to investigate three students’ perceptions from different Universities in Indonesia on the use Spotify application in improving English pronunciation. A qualitative research method with thematic analysis was applied in this research and the subjects of this research were three students; one English student and two non-English students, based on the parameter of the feature of Spotify, namely; the students’ interest and the students’ motivation (Andriani et all, 2018; Rahmania & Mandasari, 2021). Three themes were found on the interview, namely; Accessible and Flexible Feature, Interesting Media for Learning and Practicing English Pronunciation. The results of this research revealed that the use of Spotify feature on the English pronunciation of all participants increased the students’ pronunciation, particularly in terms of word and meaning. Two non-English students did not pay attention to the elements of English pronunciation; vowel, stress, rhythm, pitch and intonation. However, only English students pay more attention and more comprehensive elements of English pronunciation. It proves that educational background had an effect on improving students’ pronunciation

Social media in learning Englsh is now used by people who have many functions,one whih can be used as a medium for language learning. Social media are effective learning media to assist the learning and teaching process. The use of media in learning English in Junior High School is able to make students do more Learning activities,and other activies such as observing,doing,demonstrating and so on. It was found teachers had positive perceptions of technologies.thematic analysis is the process of identifying and analyzing pattern or themes in qualitative. Based on the research result,teacher perceptions tend to be quite positive about the implementation of the teaching and learning process using media social. The tendency for perception is enthusiastic in taching media social as a tool to support the teaching and learning process at the school.
