Abstract

Inkes Yarsi Mataram is one of the private health universities in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province that attracts teenagers from both inside and outside Lombok island. Adolescents who are away from parental supervision are more likely to have risky dating behaviour than students who live with their parents. From the results of research conducted in March 2024 on Inkes Yarsi Mataram students, it showed concerns about negative dating behaviour. Based on these problems, community service activities are needed in the form of counseling which includes pretesting adolescents' knowledge and attitudes, providing education through counseling and discussion about toxic relationships in adolescents conducted for two meetings, and ending with a post-test evaluation. After the counselling was carried out during April-May 2025, it was found that there was an increase in students' knowledge and attitudes after being given counselling on toxic teenage relationships. There needs to be a continuation of service by strengthening Islamic material as a form of implementation of Inkes Yarsi Mataram's goal of producing health workers who are morally good.

Abstract

hemoglobin levels. Anemia in pregnancy is a condition where hemoglobin is below normal, which is below 11 g/dl. The most common cause of anemia in pregnancy is iron deficiency. Moringa leaves are one type of food that is rich in iron which can overcome anemia. Methods Methods The method in this study was to conduct laboratory tests on 100 grams of fresh Moringa leaves colored from light green to slightly dark green. Screening for Fe used Potassium tocyanide/Ammonium thiocyanate 2 NDragendorff reagent, while vitamin C with 10% povidone iodine reagent was equivalent to 1% iodine. Results The results showed that Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) contained Fe and Vitamin C compounds. Discussion/Suggestion The use of Moringa leaves is an alternative that can be used to prevent anemia, besides being cheap and easy to obtain. It is expected that pregnant women besides taking Fe tablets are also advised to consume foods high in iron such as Moringa leaves to increase hemoglobin in pregnant women. Further researchers are advised to conduct research related to development innovation

Abstract

Introduction: Chronic energy deficiency (CED) is one of the non-obstetric medical complications in pregnancy that can be enforced by examining the upper arm circumference of less than 23.5 cm in pregnant women. Pregnant women who experience CED can cause stunted fetal growth which results in low birth weight babies. The prevalence of CED in pregnant women in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) is higher than the prevalence of Indonesia which is equal to 21.5% (Indonesia: 17.3%). The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of CED in pregnant women based on age and gravidity. Methodology: This study was an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. Population of this research was all pregnant women in five hamlets in the Poskesdes Sesela 2 with a total sample of 137 people using total population sampling techniques. This research was conducted in the Poskesdes Sesela 2 working area of the UPT BLUD Puskesmas Gunungsari, West Lombok in November 2019 until January 2020. The data source was secondary that was analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. Result & Discussion: The result shows tha the majority pregnant women in Poskesdes Sesela 2 in 2019 are aged 20-35 years which is 79.1. Most parity of pregnant woman is multigravida at 62.2%. Most of the pregnant women who did not experience CED that is equal to 79.7%. There is a significant difference in the incidence of CED of pregnant women aged <20 years and those aged 20-35 years (p-value 0.03). There was a significant difference in the incidence of CED between primigravida and multigravida pregnant women (p-value 0,0004). Health workers, especially midwives in villages or primary healthcare, are expected to be able to measure LILA in young women or prospective brides as an early detection of CED events before pregnancy so that proper management can be done before pregnancy occurs and can reduce the morbidity and mortality rates of mothers and fetuses during pregnancy and childbirth.

Abstract

Background: The health of female prospective brides is one of the most important factors in building a quality family. Premarital health examinations are crucial for detecting and addressing health issues before marriage. The aim of this study was to assess the health status of female prospective brides and analyze the relationship between relevant variables. Method: This was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 329 female prospective brides who visited X Primary Healthcare in Mataram between January and December 2022. A consecutive sampling method was used, with 267 participants involved. Results: The study found that most of the prospective brides were within the adult reproductive age range of 20-35 years (85%). The majority had a normal BMI (53%), did not suffer from Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) (79%), and more than half were not anemic (52%). Bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between BMI and Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) (p < 0.05). The Odds Ratio of 4.069 indicates that prospective brides with a low BMI were more likely to have a lower LILA.
