Abstract

Various types of plants in the surrounding environment that have medicinal properties are many that can be obtained and utilized, and can even be planted themselves, which are known as family medicinal plants. This medicinal plant has begun to be widely studied, especially Indonesian Native Medicinal Plants, because it has relatively small side effects when compared to modern medical drugs. Communities in Pattallassang District generally have various types of medicinal plants that are planted in their yards and are often used as alternative treatments for certain types of diseases or as supplements, one example being breastfeeding boosters, which are very much needed by mothers in carrying out their activities. exclusive breastfeeding program. To support the exclusive breastfeeding program, various efforts must be made, one of which is the use of breastfeeding boosters, which is expected to help increase the production of breast milk. The purpose of the community service activity is to increase understanding of the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and to provide education about the use of several plants that have the potential as breastfeeding boosters in terms of processing techniques and more rational ways of using them. This service is carried out at Merpati Posyandu, Pattallassang Village, Pattallassang District, Takalar Regency. The method of providing community service activities is by providing counseling and demonstrations on how to process and manufacture good traditional medicines. The results of the activity assessment showed that participants gained knowledge about the types of traditional medicines, especially breastfeeding boosters, along with good processing and manufacturing methods of traditional medicines.

Abstract

Blood electrolyte levels in the tube will decrease after 30 minutes of blood collection due to the hemolysis process at a rate of about 7 mg/dl per hour. This study aims to determine the comparison of potassium electrolyte levels in blood specimens using red and yellow vacuum tubes at Toto Kabila Hospital, Bone Bolango Regency.The method in this study used descriptive with a quantitative approach and the method used in this study was accidental sampling with a sample of 30 patients who were to be studied. The method in this study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research and the sampling technique used was accidental sampling with a sample of 30 patients who were to be studied. The results of the comparison of potassium levels in vacuum tubes with red lids and vacuum tubes with yellow covers showed normal potassium levels in 24 samples or (80%) and abnormal potassium levels in 6 samples or (20%) with the results of the Mann -With a test on comparisons of potassium levels in tubes with red caps and yellow caps showing that .0.099 > 0.05 so that it can be concluded that there is nothing significant about potassium examination using vacuum tubes with red lids and vacuum tubes with yellow lids.

Abstract

Jantung merupakan sistem kardiovaskuler yang kompleks dan sangat penting untuk mempertahankan kehidupan. Penelitian ini membahas anatomi dan fisiologi jantung, termasuk struktur, fungsi, dan regulasi sistem kardiovaskuler dan kolerasinya terhadap tubuh manusia. Tinjauan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang sistem kardiovaskuler dan implikasinya dalam bidang kesehatan. Maksud dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagian-bagian jantung dan mengetahui fungusi serta detak jantung pada manusia melalui model hewan uji mencit (Mus musculus). Metode yang digunakan yaitu viviseksi mayor atau metode pembedahan organ dalam. Parameter yang di nilai pada penelitian ini adalah berat badan dan detak jantung per-menit selama tiga menit. Pengukuran berat badan dilakukan menggunakan bantuan neraca analitik sedangkan pengukuran detak jantung dilakukan dengan menghitung secara manual dibantu dengan menggunakan stopwatch dan tasbih digital sebagai pewaktu masing-masing per menit. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi detak jantung pada mencit adalah ≥ 200 kali per tiga menit.

Abstract

Plants contain several active ingredients beneficial for health, one of which is the persimmon plant, known for its tannins and phenolic compounds. This research aims to determine the effect of Black Persimmon Leaf Extract (Diospyros nigra) as an alternative for lowering glucose levels in White Rats (Rattus norvegicus). This is a True Experimental research, which controls all external variables that could affect the experimental results. There are four control groups: a negative control using glucose and positive controls using extracts with concentrations of 15%, 30%, and 60%. The research data were measured using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer and analyzed using One Way ANOVA with SPSS. The results of the Shapiro-Wilk normality test showed a significance value >0.05; Levene's Test for homogeneity showed a significance value >0.05; the One Way ANOVA test showed a significance value <0.05; and the Tukey HSD test showed a significance value >0.05. The objective of this research is to test the effectiveness of black persimmon leaves (Diospyros nigra) as an alternative to lowering blood glucose levels in white rats (Rattus norvegicus). Sample absorbance data were obtained using UV-VIS Spectrophotometry and analyzed using One Way ANOVA in SPSS.

Abstract

This study investigated the effects of bungur leaves containing saponins, flavonoids and tannins on glucose and cholesterol levels in rat (Rattus norvegicus) test animals. Spectrophotometry results showed a significant decrease in glucose levels at different concentrations. SPSS analysis indicated that the data were normally distributed, and comparison of average glucose levels between treatment groups showed similar homogeneity. The significant value of bungur obtained was 0.014 < 0.05 from the ANOVA test, strengthening the conclusion that bungur leaves can contribute to glucose control which aims to increase the potential of active compounds contained in bungur samples in inhibiting blood glucose absorption.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efek sedatif dari beberapa sediaan obat psikotropika dan bahan herbal menggunakan metode Forced Swimming Test (FST) pada hewan uji tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). Penelitian ini melibatkan enam kelompok perlakuan yaitu: Estazolam (1 mg), Na CMC 0,5% sebagai kontrol negatif, ekstrak daun jambu bol, Alprazolam(1 mg), Zolpidem (10 mg), dan Valeriana officinalis. Setiap kelompok terdiri dari dua ekor tikus yang diberi perlakuan secara oral dan diamati selama 30 menit di dalam wadah berisi air untuk mencatat durasi swimming dan floating dalam satuan detik. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing perlakuan memberikan efek yang bervariasi terhadap aktivitas motorik tikus. Kelompok yang diberi Alprazolammenunjukkan rata-rata waktu floating tertinggi yaitu 1.194,05 detik, mengindikasikan adanya efek sedatif yang dominan. Namun, hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data tidak terdistribusi normal, dan uji homogenitas menyatakan data tidak homogen. Uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antar kelompok perlakuan baik pada variabel swimming  maupun floating . Ketidaksignifikanan ini diduga disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti ketidaktepatan dosis, perbedaan individu hewan uji, serta rute pemberian obat yang kurang efektif.

Abstract

Demam merupakan respon fisiologis tubuh terhadap infeksi atau peradangan yang ditandai dengan peningkatan suhu tubuh melebihi normal. Obat antipiretik sintetis, seperti paracetamol, natrium diklofenak, dan ibuprofen, terbukti efektif menurunkan suhu tubuh, tetapi penggunaan jangka panjang berpotensi menimbulkan efek samping. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektivitas antipiretik sintetis dengan bahan alam berupa infusa daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) 10% dan daun nona (Annona reticulata) 5% pada tikus putih jantan galur Wistar yang diinduksi demam menggunakan suspensi ragi kering 20%. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah post-test only control group dengan enam kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kontrol (NaCMC), daun kelor 10%, daun nona 5%, ibuprofen, natrium diklofenak, dan paracetamol. Suhu tubuh diukur sebelum induksi, setelah induksi, serta satu jam setelah pemberian perlakuan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA satu arah dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan paracetamol memberikan penurunan suhu tertinggi (5,0 °C; 12,89%), diikuti natrium diklofenak (4,8 °C; 12,40%) dan ibuprofen (2,4 °C; 6,22%). Infusa daun kelor dan daun nona menurunkan suhu masing-masing 1,7 °C (4,42%) dan 2,0 °C (5,19%), sedangkan kontrol hanya 1,5 °C (3,90%). Disimpulkan bahwa paracetamol dan natrium diklofenak lebih efektif dibandingkan ibuprofen maupun bahan alam.
