Abstract

This research was conducted to see the practicality of an environmental care learning model based on family partnerships in creating child-friendly schools in PAUD Melati, Bengkulu City, which consists of 3 parts, namely: practicality from teachers, parents and observers. This research is a type of research and development (research and development). ). This research procedure refers to the stages of the Borg and development model.This research was conducted at PAUD Melati, Bengkulu City with a total of 62 children, 62 parents and 4 teachers from PAUD Melati, Bengkulu City.Data collection in this research was carried out using observation, interviews and response questionnaire techniques. The results of this research are that the implementation of the model gets a score of 86%, the practicality of the model is seen from its usefulness based on the results of the teacher response questionnaire to the model, the percentage score of teacher 1 is 93%, teacher 2 is 89%, teacher 3 is 91% and teacher 4 is 90% in the very good category and in terms of effectiveness using the anova test, a sig value of 0.00 <0.05 was obtained, which shows that there is a difference after the use of an environmental care learning model based on family partnerships in creating child-friendly schools in PAUD Melati, Bengkulu City

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance Indonesian language teachers’ understanding of digital literacy and the use of the Indonesian Language Proficiency Test (UKBI) Adaptive Digital as an instrument for strengthening literacy in schools. The activity was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Bengkulu City on October 13, 2025, involving 27 teachers who are members of the Indonesian Language MGMP (Subject Teachers’ Forum) for junior high schools in Bengkulu City. The implementation consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the implementation stage, participants attended presentations on digital literacy concepts, the UKBI Adaptive Digital system, and engaged in interactive discussions on how to apply UKBI results in Indonesian language teaching. The results indicated that the teachers demonstrated high enthusiasm and improved understanding of the importance of digital literacy as well as the function of UKBI as an objective and nationally standardized tool for measuring language proficiency. This activity also succeeded in fostering teachers’ motivation to carry out follow-up actions, including simulations and the actual administration of UKBI in the next stage of the program. Thus, this program contributes to strengthening teachers’ professional capacity in addressing the challenges of Indonesian language teaching in the digital assessment era. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to write observation report texts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City. This study used a descriptive method with aquantitative approach. The population in this study were 211 students of class VIII B SMPNegeri 7 Bengkulu City. The sample in this study used purposive sampling, namely 14% ofthe total population, namely 30 students. The data collection technique used a test technique,namely students were given the task of writing an observation report text with a timeallocation of 60 minutes. The ability to write an observation report text was assessed from 3 aspects, namely, general definitions, part definitions, and conclusions. The data analysistechnique used in this study was simple statistics by calculating the average value. The results of this study indicate that the average value of the ability to write observation report texts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri Bengkulu City was 57.64 with a sufficient category. The average value of the ability to write observation report texts based on the general definition aspect is 15.85 with a sufficient category where students can write general descriptions but not in detail or completely only contain the definition of the object is not explained in more detail, the average ability to write observation report texts in students based on the definition aspect of the part is 25.85 with a sufficient category where students have written descriptions of parts but many students do not really describe the object specifically so that the description of the part is less in-depth, the average ability to write observation report texts in students based on the definition aspect of benefits/Conclusions is 15.92 with a sufficient category where students have written conclusions but students have not really understood what the conclusions are so that many conclusions made only repeat words in the general description and also do not match the objects observed. This study sees that students' writing abilities in observation report texts must be studied better so that students can really understand the structural parts in the observation report text.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the Literature Learning course through the application of an ethnopedagogical approach. This study uses a classroom action research (CAR) design implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were obtained through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in students' HOTS skills after the application of ethnopedagogy. The average score in cycle I was 76.26 (B+) with a completion rate of 32.35%, increasing in cycle II to 81.57 (A-) with a completion rate of 85.29%. Students were better able to analyze cultural values, conduct reflective evaluations, and produce more original, local culture-based creative works. This study concludes that the ethnopedagogical approach is effective in strengthening higher order thinking skills through contextual and culture-based literature learning.  Keywords: ethnopedagogy; HOTS; literature learning
