Abstract

Tuberkulosis Paru merupakan penyakit generative yang dapat menimbulkan perubahan status fisik pasien. Keberhasilan pengobatan tuberkulosis dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor termasuk dukungan keluarga dan masyarakat, dukungan sosial-ekonomi, dukungan tenaga kesehatan, ketersediaan untuk mengakses layanan kesehatan, stigma sosial, tekanan psikologis, dan faktor pengetahuan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dilingkungan Dusun VII Desa Klambir V Kecamatan Hamparan Perak  tahun 2023. Peserta pengabdian yaitu masyarakat dusun VII Desa Klambir V sebanyak 82 orang. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi penyuluhan tentang tuberculosis terutama tanda gejala, pencegahan, cara penularan, dan pengobatan untuk penderita penyakit TBC. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian diperoleh data pengetahuan terhadap perilaku pencegahan penyakit tuberkulosis pada kategori baik sebanyak 51 responden (62,2%) hal ini didukung oleh peran serta tenaga kesehatan, keluarga serta lingkungan dan keberhasilan pendidikan kesehatan yang diberikan merupakan komponen penting sebagai upaya pencegahan penyakit.

Abstract

Objectives: High mental workload can decrease nurse performance. Nurses with higher moral sensitivity are ethically more practicing professionals and the quality of care is better. This study assesses effect of Mental Workload and Moral Sensitivity on Nurse Performance in the Acute Inpatient Room of the Prof. Dr. M. Idrelm Mental Hospital Medan in Indonesia . Methods: The study used a cross-sectional design, sampel number of 58 nurses in acutel inpatient room through total sampling. NASA-TLX Questionnaires for Mental Workload, Moral Sensitivity Questionnaires for Moral Sensitivity and Individual Work Performance Questionnaires for Nurse Performance. Analyzed data using the Statistical Package for social Science (SPSS) version 26 software. Descriptive statistics, Pearson test and multiple linear regression analysis to measure its effect. A p-vaule of < 0.05 was considered statistically significant at a 95% confidence level. Result: Majority of participant had a high level of mental workload (86.2%), high level of moral sensitivity (58.6%) and had good level of performance (53.4%). Further, there is no correlation mental workload with nurses performance (p = 0.350), but moral sensitivity significantly correlated with nurses performance (p = 0.041). Conclusion: Nurse has level mental workload high indicate prone to fatique and burnout, but they have good performance because they have adapted to the existing work situation. This is supported by high moral sensitivity so that nurses feel very responsible for their profession.

Abstract

Low self-esteem is the appearance of negative thoughts about the meaning of self as a response to a situation. Negative thoughts can influence how you think about yourself and how you view the world and can interfere with work, study, and daily activities. Therapy is cognitively focused on helping the client identify and correct maladaptive thoughts, type automatic behaviors, and change behaviors caused by various​ emotional problems. This research aims to analyze the influence of cognitive therapy on the ability to control negative thoughts in low self-esteem patients. This research uses a quantitative quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent group control design. The sample for this study was 64 respondents from patients with low self-esteem who were hospitalized, divided into 32 intervention groups and 32 control groups. The sampling technique for this research uses purposive sampling. Research data collection used the ATQ-B-15 (Automatic Thoughts Questionnaire–Believability-15) instrument. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, dependent t-test, and independent t-test. The results showed a change in the intervention group's ability to control negative thoughts before and after cognitive therapy (t=15.84; p=0.00). There was a difference in the ability to control negative thoughts in the post-test of the control and intervention groups (Sig.2-tailed=0.00 or p-value<0.05). Giving cognitive therapy has a significant influence on reducing the ability to control negative thoughts in low self-esteem patients.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the managerial function of the head of the room on the quality of nursing services at the Prof. Mental Hospital. DR. Muhammad Idrem Medan in 2023. The research method used is a quantitative research method with an analytical survey research design type. The data collection technique is by interview using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques use univariate and bivariate analysis with simple linear regression statistical tests. The results obtained show that there is an influence on the implementation of the managerial functions of the head of the room including planning, organizing, directing, and supervising, including in the good category score range. In conclusion, there is an influence of the managerial function of the head of the room on the quality of nursing services at the Prof. Mental Hospital. DR. Muhammad Idrem Medan in 2023. Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a period of individual change, marked by physical and emotional or psychological changes. Emotional changes and psychological development during adolescence cause individuals to become curious about their surroundings, and vulnerable in distinguishing between good and bad. This period is often referred to as a critical period and a period of rebellion, due to emotional changes and psychological development, aggressive behavior will emerge in adolescents which can cause problems in establishing interpersonal relationships. Purpose: To identify aggressive behavior in high school students. Method: Quantitative descriptive research, conducted at Methodist High School Medan in April-May 2024. The independent variable in this study is aggressive behavior. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and the Slovin formula, the number of samples used was 26 respondents. Univariate data analysis was in the form of frequency distribution. Results: Most respondents were dominated by women as many as 16 respondents (61.5%). Most respondents were the first child as many as 11 (42.3%) and lived with their parents as many as 15 (57.7%). Most of the respondents' parents had completed secondary education, as many as 16 (61.5%) and 15 (57.7%) respectively. Most of the respondents' fathers and mothers worked as skilled workers, as many as 21 (80.8%) and 13 (50%) respectively. The respondents' aggressive behavior was included in the high category as many as 17 (65.4%). Conclusion: Adolescent girls, living with parents, first-born children, and adolescents whose parents have secondary education and whose parents work as skilled workers have high levels of aggression.   Keywords: Adolescents; Aggressive Behavior; High School Students.   Pendahuluan: Masa remaja adalah masa terjadinya perubahan individu, ditandai dengan adanya perubahan fisik dan emosi atau psikologis. Perubahan emosi dan perkembangan psikis dalam masa remaja menyebabkan individu menjadi ingin tahu tentang lingkungan di sekitarnya, sekaligus menjadi rentan dalam membedakan baik dan buruk suatu hal. Mas ini sering disebut pula sebagai masa kritis dan masa memberontak, akibat perubahan emosi dan perkembangan psikis, akan muncul perilaku agresif pada remaja yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya masalah dalam menjalin hubungan interpersonal. Tujuan: Untuk mengidentifikasi perilaku agresif pada siswa SMA. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dilakukan di SMA Methodist 1 Medan pada bulan April-Mei 2024. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah perilaku agresif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan rumus slovin, jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 26 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan univariate dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi. Hasil: Sebagian besar didominasi oleh perempuan sebanyak 16 responden (61.5%). Mayoritas responden adalah anak pertama sebanyak 11 (42.3%) tinggal bersama orangtua sebanyak 15 (57.7%). Sebagian besar orang tua responden menamatkan pendidikan tingkat menengah, masing-masing sebanyak 16 (61.5%) dan 15 (57.7%). Sebagian besar pekerjaan ayah dan ibu responden sebagai tenaga kerja terlatih, masing-masing sebanyak 21 (80.8%) dan 13 (50%). Perilaku agresif responden termasuk dalam kategori tinggi sebanyak 17 (65.4%). Simpulan: Remaja berjenis kelamin perempuan, tinggal bersama orangtua, anak pertama, dan remaja yang memiliki orangtua dengan pendidikan menengah serta orang tua yang bekerja sebagai tenaga kerja terlatih memiliki tinggi agresif yang tinggi.   Kata Kunci: Emosi; Perilaku Agresif; Remaja; Siswa/i SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how patient and family education programs affect patient satisfaction. This research method is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The results showed a significant effect between the educational program and patient satisfaction with a value of p = 0.000 (p≤0.05), where the coefficient of determination showed the magnitude of the effect of the education program on patient satisfaction with an R-value of squared = 0.133. In conclusion, there is a significant effect between educational programs on patient satisfaction on the dimensions of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles with the most dominant influence on the dimensions of reliability. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the availability of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and IPCLN (Infection Prevention and Control Link Nurse) supervision in the implementation of hospital standards. This type of quantitative research uses a descriptive correlation and observational design with cross-sectional observations. The results showed that the availability of PPE and IPCLN supervision were significantly related to standard precautions. The variable of PPE availability is 24,363, while the IPCLN supervision variable is the regression coefficient value of OR 27,904. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between the availability of PPE and IPCLN in implementing standard precautions in private hospitals in the city of Medan. Abstract

ABSTRAK Menyusui secara langsung terkait dengan pencapaian Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs). Pemberian ASI meningkatkan kesejahteraan ibu, bayi, keluarga, tenaga kerja, dan sistem perawatan kesehatan. Persiapan yang baik dapat membantu ibu dan bayi dalam keberhasilan menyusui sangat dibutuhkan.  Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah agar ibu dan keluarga dapat mempersiapkan diri dan belajar berbagai hal seputar menyusui sebelum bayi lahir. Metode Pengabdian Masyarakat yang dilaksanaan berupa penyuluhan kesehatan, diskusi, demostrasi, menonton video, pendampingan, dan konseling. Materi yang disampaikan terdiri dari defenisi ASI eksklusif, rekomendasi WHO tentang pemberian ASI eksklusif 6 bulan, manfaat asi bagi ibu-bayi dan keluarga, pengertian kolostrum dan jumlah kolostrum, kapasitas perut bayi sejak lahir sampai usia 1 tahun, posisi menyusui bayi dan refleks menghisap, perbandingan asi dengan susu formula dan dampak susu formula, kapan mulai menyusui, posisi bayi baru lahir yang tepat, mengenal Payudara dan mekanisme Produksi ASI, memfasilitasi bayi baru lahir untuk menyusui pada payudara atau inisiasi menyusu dini (IMD). Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan pada ibu hamil dengan usia kehamilan diatas 34 minggu. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat diperoleh sebagian besar pengetahuan ibu hamil baik tentang pemberian ASI Eksklusif dan IMD. Sikap ibu hamil juga sebagian besar baik tentang pemberian ASI eksklusif dan pelaksanaan IMD.   ABSTRACT Breastfeeding is directly linked to achieving Sustainable Development (SDGs). Breastfeeding improves the well-being of mothers, babies, families, the workforce, and the health care system. Good preparation can help mothers and babies successfully breastfeed. The aim of this community service is so that mothers and families can prepare themselves and learn various things about breastfeeding before the baby is born. The methods implemented include health education, discussions, demonstrations, watching videos, mentoring and counseling. The material consists of the definition of exclusive breastfeeding, WHO recommendations regarding exclusive breastfeeding, the benefits of breast milk, the meaning of colostrum and the amount of colostrum, the capacity of a baby's stomach, the baby's breastfeeding position and sucking reflex, comparison of breast milk with formula milk, when to start breastfeeding, the right position of the newborn, knowing breasts and the mechanism of breast milk production, facilitating newborn babies to breastfeed. Community service activities are carried out for pregnant women with a gestational age of over 34 weeks. As a result, most of the pregnant women's knowledge was obtained regarding exclusive breastfeeding and early initiation of breastfeeding. The attitudes of pregnant women are also mostly good regarding exclusive breastfeeding and the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding.

Abstract

Fraktur tulang panjang merupakan kondisi medis yang sering terjadi akibat trauma atau kondisi patologis, yang dapat menimbulkan nyeri intens dan kecemasan, terutama menjelang prosedur operasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Supportive Care Interventions (SCI) terhadap tingkat kecemasan dan nyeri pada pasien praoperasi fraktur tulang panjang. Desain penelitian menggunakan Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 64 responden yang dibagi secara acak menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok intervensi yang menerima SCI dan kelompok kontrol yang menerima perawatan rutin, masing-masing terdiri dari 32 responden. Tingkat kecemasan diukur menggunakan State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), sedangkan nyeri diukur menggunakan Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t berpasangan dan t independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan yang signifikan pada tingkat kecemasan dan nyeri di kelompok intervensi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (p = 0,00). Rerata kecemasan pada kelompok intervensi tercatat sebesar Mean = 20,125; SD = 3,290, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol Mean = 0,906; SD = 3,888. Rerata nyeri pada kelompok intervensi sebesar Mean = 1,969; SD = 0,695, sementara pada kelompok kontrol Mean = 0,125; SD = 0,871. Kesimpulannya, Supportive Care Interventions terbukti efektif dalam menurunkan kecemasan dan nyeri pada pasien praoperasi fraktur tulang panjang. Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kinerja perawat merupakan salah satu faktor krusial dalam menunjang kualitas pelayanan kesehatan. Lingkungan kerja dan motivasi memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja perawat. Lingkungan kerja yang mendukung dan motivasi yang tinggi diyakini mampu mendorong perawat untuk bekerja secara optimal dan profesional. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan lingkungan kerja dengan kinerja perawat di RSU Mitra Medika Amplas. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 73 perawat yang bekerja di ruang rawat inap RSU Mitra Medika Amplas. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat, bivariat menggunakan uji pearson dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil: Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar perawat memiliki persepsi baik terhadap lingkungan kerja sebanyak 53 orang (72,6%), cukup baik sebanyak 19 orang (26%), dan kurang sebanyak 1 orang (1,4%). Kinerja perawat diketahui mayoritas berada dalam kategori baik sebanyak 43 orang (58,9%), cukup baik sebanyak 30 orang (41,1%). Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan kerja dengan kinerja perawat di RSU Mitra Medika Amplas (p-value = 0,002). Kesimpulan:Lingkungan kerja memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat. Lingkungan kerja yang baik dapat meningkatkan kinerja perawat dalam memberikan pelayanan keperawatan. Oleh karena itu, pihak rumah sakit diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang aman, nyaman, dan mendukung bagi perawat untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kerja dan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan. RSU Mitra Medika Amplas has experienced an increase in Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above the ideal standard and a high turnover rate among nurses, requiring attention to environmental factors that may affect their performance. Objective:This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the work environment and nurses' performance at RSU Mitra Medika Amplas. Method: This study used a quantitative correlational design. The sample of the study was 73 nurses working in the inpatient ward of RSU Mitra Medika Amplas. Data collection used a structured questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out univariately, bivariate using the Pearson test with a confidence level of 95%. Results: The results of the analysis showed that most nurses had a good perception of the work environment as many as 53 people (72.6%), quite good as many as 19 people (26%), and less as many as 1 person (1.4%). The performance of nurses was known to be mostly in the good category as many as 43 people (58.9%), quite good as many as 30 people (41.1%). The results of the correlation test showed that there was a significant relationship between the work environment and the performance of nurses at RSU Mitra Medika Amplas (p-value = 0.002). Conclusion:There is a significant relationship between the work environment and nurses' performance. A supportive, safe, and comfortable work environment can improve nurses' productivity and the quality of nursing care services in hospitals. Keywords: Work Environment, Nurses' Performance
