The chosen song lyrics of Rita Ora are the subject of the investigation. The song lyrics were analyzed using Knickerbocker and Renninger's (1963:367) theory to determine the types of figurative languages found in the song lyrics, Leech's (1981:9-19) theory of meaning to describe the meaning of each type of figurative language found, and Halliday's (1985:10) theory to analyze the context of the situation in Rita Ora's selected song lyrics. The data for this study was gathered using descriptive qualitative methods. This study looked at ten different types of figurative language in Rita Ora's song lyrics. The most frequent appearance was irony. Connotative meaning, affective meaning, conceptual meaning, collocative meaning, social meaning, reflected meaning, and thematic meaning were discovered. All song lyrics emphasize connotative meaning. Before delving into the meaning of the ten Rita Ora songs, it is necessary to first determine the context of the situation in the song. The data is then analyzed to determine the field, tenor, and mode. Field is used to analyze what happens in the song, tenor is used to determine who participates in the song, and mode is used to determine how the data is conveyed.

Digital transformation has been sounding since 2021 and massive improvement is still being conducted after the outbreak. The transformation cannot be separated from the use of language as the media in linking the demand and supply, given that copywriting skill is urgently needed as many people enjoy content. By organizing workshop on copywriting skill, the goal of supporting side hustler to get the opportunity in this field was gratefully achieved. A day workshop collaborated with Badan Kreatif Denpasar (Denpasar Creative Agency) has raised the confidence of youth as the target to elicit their passion in copywriting. The impact of the workshop is positively encouraging the youth passion in having remote working as their dominant personality trait.

ABSTRACT Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk alih kode dan campur kode guru dan siswa dalam pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP Ganesa Denpasar dalam komunikasi proses belajar mengajar di kelas. Selanjutnya penelitian ini bertujuan pula untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi alih kode dancampur kode dalam komunikasi guru-siswa saat berlangsungnya proses belajar mengajar di kelas. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan dengan cara pengumpulan data bermacam-macam material dengan kajian teoritis dan referensi lain yang berkaitan dengan berkembang pada situasi sosial yang diteliti. Metode observasi juga dilakukan guna untuk mengukur sikap responden dengan cara merekam fenomena yang diteliti. Menganalisis data dengan cara menarikan kesimpulan dari hasil rekaman yang nanti dapat digunakan untuk mengambil tindakan. Sesuai dengan rumusan masalah, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meneliti jenis, factor dan pengaruh alih kode dan campur kode terhadap proses belajar dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Ganesa Denpasar. The purpose of the study is to identify the types of maxims that were flouted in Spencer movie. The movie tells about Princess Diana’s depression with her husband having an affair that she finds out during Christmas celebration with the Royal Family. The data was collected from the Spencer movie’s script that analysed using the cooperative principle theory by Grice (1989). The method that was applied in this research is descriptive qualitative method which also presented in informal and formal way. The result of this study showed that the four types of flouting maxim were performed in Spencer movie. There are 25 data (60%) for flouting maxim of relevance, 7 (17%) data in flouting quantity maxim, 6 data (14%) for flouting manner maxim, and 4 data (9%) in flouting quality maxim. The reasons why the flouting maxim can occur in this movie are: Diana often changes the subject because she has to behave as a princess, she cannot express her feelings and she insisted on something that is against the rules because she wants to show everyone that she is feeling broken inside that make her flouting the maxim of relevance. Diana also loves to make sarcasm about the rules in the palace making her flouting maxim the manner that makes the servers hard to understand. The servers always make Diana annoyed by telling a long story about why she has to follow the rules that make them flout the maxim of quantity. Diana sometimes lies so she can hide her feeling that blatantly disobeying the maxim of quality.

This study aims to describe the syntactic scope of information boards found in self-cleaning (Malukat) temples in Gianyar, Bali. In addition, this study also examines the translation strategies of bilingual information boards (Indonesian and English). The method used in this research is a qualitative approach in order to describe the syntactic scope and translation strategies on the data in found in Tirta Empul Temple. The data analysis applies the theory of landscape linguistics proposed by Yendra and Artawa (2020) and is supported by several micro linguistics theories, as follows: 1) syntactic scope theory by Noortyani (2017), 2) translation strategy theory by Molina and Albir (2002), and 3) translation equivalence theory by Nida (2000). The results of this study show that the information boards in the temples have various syntactic scopes, namely in the form of phrases and sentences. However, it is dominantly found in the form of sentences. It is because the information conveyed on the boards is more detail and clearly presented so that they are easily understood by visitors. Meanwhile, the translation strategy of the public space signboard uses calque, literal, established equivalent, and reduction strategies. The literal translation strategy dominantly used on the public signs at the temples because it is easier to understand since it is translated word per word.

The study concerns with the slang word and that occur in the Fate of the Furious Movie. The study aims to analyze the types of slang, the meaning of slang and the function of slang used in Fate of the Furious movie. This study used qualitative approach and the data collection was based on observation method by downloading the movie and movie script, watching the movie, looking through the scene and taking note. The theory used in this study are based on Leech (1981) there are five types of function of language and Chapman (2007) states there are two kind of slang: primary slang and secondary slang. The meanings of slang were taken from some online dictionaries that related to slang. This study reveals that there are 25 slangs which is found in Fate of the Furious movie. From the data, there are 22 primary slangs and 3 secondary slangs found. The meaning of slang mostly related to informational function which is focused on the speaker tends to inform something to the other characters in the movie. This study is about Analysis of Moral Values in the Inside Out Film, examining the types of moral values reflected by the characters. The information is obtained from conversations and moments from the film Inside Out which contains moral lessons. To find the moral principles in the Inside Out film, the data were examined using the theory proposed by Linda and Eyre (1993). In this study, the method used to collect data is the observational method. To identify and evaluate the data, note taking technique was used to observe the data. The data were examined qualitatively, then reported descriptively. The purpose of this study was to find the moral values contained in the film Inside Out, from the results of this study found 10 types of moral values contained in it, namely honesty, courage, self-reliance and potential, fidelity and chastity, loyalty and dependability, respect, love and affection, unselfishness and sensitivity, kindness and friendliness, justice and mercy. Of the 10 moral values found, 3 of them that stand out the most in this film are the moral values of loyalty and dependability, respect and unselfishness and sensitivity.

ABSTRACTThis paper entitled The Analysis of Translation Techniques of Architectural Terms Found inModern Interior Design is mainly aimed at identifying the translation techniques used by the translator totranslate the architectural terms and is also aimed at analyzing the constituent structure of the architecturalterms in the target language. The data focused on the translation of architectural terms found in the bilingualbook of interior design compilations entitled Modern Interior Design. In the early stages of observation hasfound there are some different structure of phrase that used in architectural term from the source languagethat used by the translator to make them acceptable in target language. So this research tried to identify howthe different structure of both source and target language to describe architectural term to be accepted intranslation as the technique of the translation process. Moreover the translation technique that used by thetranslator analyzed to find out why that be acceptable in target language. The method of collecting the datain this research used direct observation method. The bilingual book of Modern Interior Design read. Then,the sentences that represent the architectural terms chose. After the data collected, they analyzed. The dataanalyzed is the results of the research. There are two main theories used in analyzing the data; the theoryof translation technique is proposed by Molina ad Albir (2002) and supporting theory from Brown & JimMiller (1990) about constituent structure to compare the structure of source language and target language.Keywords: translation technique, architectural term, constituent structureABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi teknik terjemahan yang digunakan oleh penerjemah untukmenerjemahkan istilah arsitektur dan juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur konstituen istilaharsitektur dalam bahasa target. Data berfokus pada terjemahan istilah arsitektur yang ditemukan dalambuku dwibahasa kompilasi desain interior berjudul Desain Interior Modern. Pada tahap awal pengamatantelah ditemukan ada beberapa struktur frasa berbeda yang digunakan dalam istilah arsitektur dari bahasasumber yang digunakan oleh penerjemah untuk membuatnya diterima dalam bahasa target. Makapenelitian ini mencoba mengidentifikasi bagaimana perbedaan struktur baik bahasa sumber maupunbahasa target untuk menggambarkan istilah arsitektural yang dapat diterima dalam penerjemahan sebagaiteknik proses penerjemahan. Selain itu teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan oleh penerjemah dianalisisuntuk mencari tahu mengapa itu dapat diterima dalam bahasa target. Metode pengumpulan data dalampenelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi langsung. Buku bilingual dari Desain Interior Moderndibaca. Kemudian, kalimat yang mewakili istilah arsitektur dipilih. Setelah data terkumpul, merekamenganalisa. Data yang dianalisis adalah hasil penelitian. Ada dua teori utama yang digunakan dalammenganalisis data; teori teknik penerjemahan dikemukakan oleh Molina ad Albir (2002) dan teori pendukung dari Brown & Jim Miller (1990) tentang struktur penyusun untuk membandingkan strukturbahasa sumber dan bahasa target.Kata kunci: teknik terjemahan, istilah arsitektur, struktur bahasa

ABSTRAKKegiatan penelitian ini merupakan bentuk dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pengabdianini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan bahasa Inggris yang diberikan kepada anak-anak di pantiasuhan Hindu Sunya Giri Denpasar. Tujuan dari diadakannya pelatihan ini adalah untukmemberikan pelajaran tambahan (dalam hal ini bahasa Inggris general) kepada anak-anak di pantiasuhan hindu Sunya Giriri Denpasar agar mereka memiliki kompetensi sehingga bisa mandiri danmampu bersaing di era globalisasi ini. Anak-anak yang akan mengikuti pelatihan ini terdiri darianak yang berisua sebelas sampai tujuh belas tahun dan memiliki kemampuan yang berbeda.Perbedaan kemampuan yang dimiliki setiap anak membutuhkan suatu metode pembelajarantertentu dalam pencapaian belajar, oleh karena itu pelatihan bahasa Inggris ini juga akan mencobaaplikasi dari metode role play (bermain peran). Pengukuran kemampuan awal berbahasa Inggriskelompok sasaran ini dilakukan melalui pre-test sebelum pelatihan dimulai. Setelah diperoleh nilaipasti yang menjadi tolak ukur kemampuan anak-anak maka dapat ditentukan materi pelatihan yangakan diberikan. Tingkat keberhasilan pelatihan ini kemudian diukur kembali dengan test prakteklangsung.Kata kunci: pelatihan, bahasa inggris, panti asuhan, role playABSTRACTThis research activity is a form of community service. This service was carried out in the form ofEnglish language training given to children in the Hindu Sunya Giri Denpasar orphanage. Thepurpose of this training was to provide additional lessons (in this case general English) to childrenin the Hindu Sunya Giriri orphanage so that they have competence so they can be independentand able to compete in this era of globalization. Children who will take part in the training consistof children who are eleven to seventeen years old and have different abilities. The different abilitiespossessed by each child requires a particular learning method in achieving learning, thereforethis English language training will also try the application of the role play method. Themeasurement of the initial English proficiency of the target group is done through a pre-test beforethe training begins. After obtaining a definite value that becomes a benchmark for the ability ofchildren, training materials will be determined. The level of success of this training is then remeasuredwith a direct practice test.Keywords: training, English, orphanages, role play
