Abstract

This study aims to explain how climate change can affect various aspects of global security issues such as increasing global temperatures, extreme weather, and decreasing availability of clean water, which can trigger global security issues such as conflict and mass migration. In addition, this study also aims to identify climate change from the perspective of human security. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that climate change can become a global threat where shortages of water, food, and natural disasters will force the population of a nation to make every effort to fulfill their needs, including migrating. This of course can lead to conflicts such as the conflicts that occurred in Africa and South Asia. From a human security perspective, the issue of climate change also makes people feel insecure, especially in the seven areas of security, namely economic security, food security, health security, environmental security, individual security, community security, and political security. This of course will also have an impact on global security. Lastly, decisive action is needed to deal with climate change, considering the magnitude of the risks at stake, including forcing countries to obey and comply through the UN security council.

Abstract

As a result of the country's economic and military resurgence, China has become one of the primary actors in the effort to maintain stability in the Asia Pacific region. As a result of the United States' observation of this phenomenon, the nation's foreign policy shifted its focus from the Atlantic region to the Pacific region. The competition between the two great powers will have an effect on the safety of the surrounding area. As a result, the purpose of this paper is to attempt to discuss the security dynamics of the Asia Pacific region against the backdrop of the competition between the world's two most powerful superpowers, the United States and China. A qualitative approach, a method that involves reviewing previous research, and descriptive analysis were utilized in this study. The conversation will start with an analysis of the relationship between the two major powers in the region, followed by the creation of a picture depicting US dominance as the main power in Asia Pacific, which is rivaled by China through the development of military strength, and an examination of US defense policy and China's military development as a form of balance of power in the Asia Pacific region.

Abstract

Demographic bonus is a phenomenon when most of a country's population is in the productive age group, which can provide high potential for economic growth. 2020-2030 will be an important year for many countries as some of them will experience the peak of their demographic dividend. However, the opportunities and challenges associated with this situation need to be studied in depth so that the maximum potential of the demographic bonus can be utilized. This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities faced by Indonesia, which is facing a demographic bonus era. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of the study show that the demographic bonus is a golden opportunity for Indonesia to increase economic growth and people's welfare. With the population of productive age being larger than the non-productive age population, there is great potential to increase total output and production in various economic sectors. However, in order to take advantage of the demographic bonus effectively, it is necessary to make efforts to build quality human resources through improving the quality of education and job training. In addition, the labor market must be able to absorb an abundant workforce so that the unemployment rate can be minimized. The importance of digital transformation and the industrial revolution is also a focus in efforts to face the challenges of technological development. With support from the government, the private sector and the community, Indonesia has great potential to take advantage of the demographic bonus as a driver of sustainable economic growth and improve the welfare of society at large.

Abstract

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) reflects Cina's grand ambition to strengthen its economic and geopolitical influence in the strategic Southeast Asian region including Indonesia through investment in transnational infrastructure. Cina sees Indonesia as a vital nation within the worldwide oceanic course due to the country's position that interfaces the Indian Sea and the Pacific Sea through the Strait of Malacca. This investigate employments a expressive subjective approach through different auxiliary sources such as official government reports, research reports, academic articles, sources and news media. The research aims to analyze the various factors behind Cina's motivation in launching BRI in the Southeast Asian region, especially in Indonesia. The knife in this research is the concept of national interest from Donald E. Nuchterlein to analyze more deeply the national interests underlying Cina's implementation of BRI in Indonesia. This study found that Cina's implementation of BRI in the Southeast Asian Region including Indonesia is to reduce dependence on foreign investment, utilize excess production capacity, secure energy supplies, maintain national defense stability, especially in maritime areas such as the South Cina Sea, and create a positive image in the eyes of the world by embracing BRI cooperation partner countries by emphasizing economic, cultural and non-intervention aspects.

The analysis revealed that the MotoGP Mandalika event successfully contributed to a 1.46% increase in regional GDP and generated an additional 4.5 trillion Indonesian rupiah in economic value. The integration of local cultural elements, including the participation of 300 SME groups and traditional performance, enhanced the event's diplomatic impact. The study identified effective multistakeholder collaboration among government agencies, international organizations, and local communities as a crucial success factor. The findings demonstrate that integrating sports and cultural diplomacy through international sporting events can effectively serve multiple national interests, from economic recovery to diplomatic relationship enhancement to national security. The successful implementation of MotoGP Mandalika provides a model for developing nations seeking to leverage sporting events for diplomatic purposes while promoting sustainable tourism development in the postpandemic era.

Abstract

The emergence of demographic issues makes research related to the behavior of beginner voters very interesting to do, some studies have managed to find a tendency for beginner voter behavior, and several other studies have also succeeded in finding trends in voting behavior against ethnic identity. Therefore researchers are interested in discussing and describing the tendency of voter behavior in certain age categories which are also clashed with ethnicity factors. Chinese ethnicity is an ethnic minority that has a long history on the Indonesian political stage, and the city of Palembang is one of the cities in Indonesia that has left a lot of evidence of the history of Chinese civilization, even from the time of the Srivijaya Empire. This study aims to determine the behavioral trends of choosing Chinese Ethnic Youth in the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Palembang in 2018. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a survey design. The unit of analysis of this study was ethnic Chinese youth who were members of the Indonesian Chinese Youth Association (IPTI) in Palembang City. This study uses a voter behavior approach with an analysis of three models, namely sociological, psychological and rational choices. Based on the results of the research in the field it can be concluded that the behavior of choosing Chinese Ethnic Youth in the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Palembang in 2018 has a tendency towards psychological and rational voting behavior. Psychologically, the behavior of choosing ethnic Chinese youth tends to be influenced by indicators of the influence of campaigns and figures of candidates, while rationally tends to be influenced by the leadership performance indicators of candidates in the previous period.
