Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) assisted with Quizizz in accelerating mathematical problem solving abilities. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Malang consisting of 33 students. This classroom action research was carried out in even semesters with repeated cycles until the indicators of action success were met, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research results in cycle I showed that the results of observation of activity were 79%, the results of observations of student activities were 74.5% and the completeness of learning outcomes reached 63.63% so that they did not meet the indicators of success of the action. In cycle II, the results of observing teacher activity increased by 11.75% to 90.75%, the results of observing student activities increased by 14.25% to 88.75% and the completeness of learning outcomes increased by 18.19% to 81.82% . Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Quizizz-assisted Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning model can accelerate the math problem solving abilities of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 13 Malang.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusif membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat diakses oleh siswa berkebutuhan khusus, namun tidak semua mahasiswa memahami pentingnya hak cipta dalam pembuatan media tersebut. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan mengenai hak cipta dalam pembuatan buku panduan media pembelajaran inklusif untuk siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Kegiatan ini melibatkan mahasiswa S-1 Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Islam Malang yang mengikuti mata kuliah Math for Special Needs. Kegiatan ini melibatkan dua tahap, yaitu pemberian materi tentang Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) dan pelatihan pendaftaran hak cipta secara online. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang hak cipta dan proses pendaftarannya, serta berhasil mendaftarkan lima produk buku panduan media pembelajaran inklusif sebagai hak cipta. Keberhasilan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong mahasiswa untuk lebih kreatif dan memahami pentingnya perlindungan hukum atas karya mereka, serta berkontribusi pada pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia. Implikasi dari program ini adalah pentingnya integrasi pengetahuan hak cipta dalam pendidikan tinggi untuk mempersiapkan calon pendidik yang kompeten dan profesional dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan legal.

Abstract

Rendahnya kesehatan gigi, kebersihan lingkungan, dan tingkat kesadaran pendidikan merupakan permasalahan utama di desa yang berlokasi di Sembalun Bumbung, Lombok. Pengabdian dilakukan guna menyampaikan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan gigi, kebersihan lingkungan, dan meningkatkan kesadaran pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi dan penyuluhan. Kegiatan pengabdian melibatkan kepala sekolah, ketua tim penjaminan mutu sekolah, waka kurikulum, dan 100 peserta didik SMP di salah satu sekolah di Lombok. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan observasi langsung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa secara signifikan 80% peserta didik sadar terkait pentingnya kesehatan gigi, 80% peserta didik sadar terkait pentingnya kebersihan lingkungan, dan 85% peserta didik sadar terkait pentingnya pendidikan. Selain itu, seluruh stackholder sekolah merasa senang dan terbantu terhadap pengabdian yang sudah dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Program One day One Word merupakan inisiatif dari salah satu guru bahasa inggris di Sassanathum Wittaya School yang bertujuan untuk membangkitkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi dikalangan siswa sekolah dasar di Satun, Thailand. Melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, program ini memperkenalkan satu kata baru bahasa inggris disertai bahasa Thailand setiap hari dan melibatkan siswa dalam aktivitas berhitung yang menarik. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada siswa tingkat sekolah dasar di Thailand dalam membantu membangkitkan minat dan kemampuan siswa dalam literasi dan numerasi. Hasil menunjukan bahwa siswa menunjukkan sikap antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif selama kegiatan, serta perbaikan dalam pemahaman dasar terhadap konsep literasi dan numersi. Peran pendampingan juga terbukti penting dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran. Diharapkan program ini dapat berlanjut dan memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar bagi pendidikan di Satun, Thailand bahkan sebagai sumber pembelajaran bagi siswa di Indonesia

Abstract

Rendahnya motivasi dan kemampuan memahami SPLDV pada siswa Paket B di PKBM Bintang Bangsa, yang dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang sosial, ekonomi, serta pengalaman negatif di sekolah formal, menjadi permasalahan empiris yang menuntut solusi pembelajaran yang inklusif dan adaptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pendampingan belajar berbasis Wordwall sebagai media interaktif yang dikembangkan dengan mengacu pada model desain pembelajaran serta didukung temuan penelitian sebelumnya mengenai efektivitas media digital dalam lingkungan pendidikan nonformal. Menggunakan metode studi kasus melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan implementasi gamifikasi Wordwall pada materi SPLDV, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pendekatan interaktif dan kontekstual mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar, mengurangi kecemasan matematika, serta memperkuat pemahaman konseptual, hasil evaluasi menunjukkan 85% peserta mengalami peningkatan kemampuan membangun model matematika dan memilih metode penyelesaian yang tepat. Sehingga  Wordwall merupakan solusi orisinal dan efektif dalam konteks PKBM yang minim fasilitas teknologi, sekaligus memperkuat fungsi PKBM sebagai ruang pendidikan komunitas yang fleksibel dan humanis. Penggunaan media digital sederhana dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi berkelanjutan untuk peningkatan literasi numerasi dan pemberdayaan pendidikan berbasis komunitas.

Abstract

The initial knowledge of SMPN 1 Bantaran students about the dangers of smoking and addictive substances is still low (average 27.39/43) with misconceptions in 19-38% of students, indicating the urgency of school-based educational interventions. This community service program aims to improve understanding and skills in smoking prevention through interactive, data-driven training. Participatory methods included needs analysis, interactive lectures, role-plays, quizzes, and pre-post-test evaluations on 161 students. Results showed a significant increase in knowledge, with an average correct post-test score of 85-90%. In conclusion, the interactive approach is effective in increasing retention and positive attitudes toward a healthy lifestyle. Consequently, this program recommends integrating prevention materials into the curriculum, establishing anti-smoking ambassadors, and involving parents to ensure the sustainability of prevention efforts among adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and describe the implementation of PBL within the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework to enhance students' mathematical conceptual understanding of the circle equation. This research employed a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. The subjects were 30 eleventh-grade students at SMAN 4 Malang. Quantitative data were collected through pre-test and post-test, while qualitative data were gathered through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students' conceptual understanding, with the mean score increasing from 6.06 (pre-test) to 8.21 (post-test). The paired sample t-test revealed a statistically significant difference with a large effect size (Cohen's d = 1.131). Questionnaire results indicated that students responded positively to the implementation, particularly appreciating the clarity of learning objectives, the alignment between assessments and instruction, the use of contextual problems, and the support of visual media and collaborative activities. This study contributes a validated instructional design that mathematics teachers can adopt to improve the quality of mathematics instruction at the senior high school level.

Abstract

The development of modern education requires a paradigm shift in learning from mere knowledge transfer to a meaningful learning process oriented towards conceptual understanding. However, classroom learning practices are still dominated by surface learning that emphasizes memorization rather than deep conceptual understanding. This condition highlights the importance of applying pedagogical approaches that can foster active student involvement in knowledge construction, such as deep learning pedagogy rooted in constructivism principles. This study aims to systematically review various studies examining the relationship between deep learning pedagogy, constructivism, and students' conceptual understanding. The study was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA guidelines for articles published in 2021–2025, resulting in 15 relevant articles for thematic analysis. The results show that the integration of deep learning pedagogy and constructivism effectively improves conceptual understanding through project-based, problem-based, and reflective learning. The conclusion of the study confirms that the synergy of these two approaches strengthens the interconnection between concepts, develops critical thinking, and shapes independent and reflective learners in line with the demands of modern education.

Abstract

Mathematics education in the digital era faces significant challenges, including the risk of dehumanization when students become overly dependent on technology, potentially hindering essential mathematical thinking, reasoning, and reflection. This article aims to philosophically examine mathematics education in the digital era from a humanistic perspective, particularly regarding the threat of dehumanization and efforts to preserve the human dimension in learning. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by PRISMA was conducted on national and international accredited journal articles from Scopus, ERIC, ResearchGate, SINTA, and Google Scholar published between 2017 and 2025, resulting in 10 relevant articles for thematic analysis. The findings indicate that humanistic philosophy positions students as whole individuals, emphasizes the teacher’s role as a dialogical companion and value guide, and views digital technology as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for human interaction. The study concludes that integrating humanistic values in digital mathematics education is essential to prevent dehumanization, strengthen character development, and ensure learning remains meaningful, ethical, and human centered.
