Abstract

Abstrak. Pendidikan abad ke-21 menuntut transformasi dalam praktik asesmen hasil belajar, dari yang bersifat konvensional menjadi asesmen digital yang lebih efisien, adaptif, dan memberikan umpan balik secara instan. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, program Teacher Induction dilaksanakan di Sekolah Lentera Kasih Makassar pada awal tahun ajaran baru, dengan tujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan asesmen digital berbasis platform Wayground dan Blooket. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 24 guru jenjang sekolah dasar dan berlangsung dalam format pelatihan satu hari penuh yang melibatkan lima tahapan: ceramah interaktif mengenai konsep asesmen formatif dan digital, studi kasus konversi asesmen kertas ke digital, simulasi pembuatan kuis dan flashcards menggunakan Wayground, kerja kelompok dalam merancang game edukatif melalui Blooket, serta presentasi dan umpan balik langsung atas hasil kerja. Selama pelatihan, peserta menunjukkan partisipasi aktif dan antusias dalam mencoba berbagai fitur teknologi, seperti AI quiz builder dan video interaktif. Hasil evaluasi melalui survei pascapelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 90 % peserta merasa lebih percaya diri dalam menggunakan platform digital untuk asesmen, 85 % menyatakan bahwa waktu persiapan soal menjadi lebih efisien, dan 80 % menyatakan siap mengintegrasikan platform ini ke dalam praktik pembelajaran rutin. Selain peningkatan teknis, peserta juga melaporkan bahwa pengalaman kolaboratif selama pelatihan memperkuat pemahaman mereka tentang pentingnya asesmen sebagai bagian integral dari proses pembelajaran. Pelatihan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan aktif, kontekstual, dan berbasis teknologi dapat mendorong transformasi asesmen di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: asesmen digital; Wayground; Blooket; pelatihan guru

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze several mathematical concepts contained in traditional games and traditional foods of the Bugis tribe in Bone Regency. This research is an exploratory-descriptive study with an ethnographic approach. The instrument used in this study is a human instrument, where the researcher is directly related to the research and acts as a data collector. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use an interactive model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that traditional games such as mabbelle, mangngasing, mabendi bendi, mappadekko, and Mappasajang, and traditional foods such as doko doko cangkuli, barongko, and Putri sallang contain mathematical concepts consisting of flat and solid shapes such as squares, rectangles, kites, circles, pyramids, primes, and cubes. These mathematical concepts have relevance to mathematical concepts at elementary and secondary school levels in geometry material. Therefore, traditional games and traditional foods are used as a medium for learning mathematics in schools, especially elementary and secondary schools, so that learning is more innovative and meaningful and as a source of evaluation in learning mathematics related to local culture in the area.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers in Barru Regency in designing and implementing the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) learning model in Science subjects. Twenty-first-century learning requires teachers to integrate multiple disciplines to develop students’ critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative skills. However, in practice, elementary school teachers still face limitations in understanding and skills in implementing integrated STEAM-based learning. The implementation method for this community service uses a training and mentoring approach, including the socialization of STEAM concepts, workshops on developing STEAM-based science learning tools, teaching practice, and reflection and evaluation. The results of the activity indicate an improvement in teachers’ understanding of the STEAM concept and their ability to develop STEAM-based science learning tools. This activity is expected to contribute to improving the quality of science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' mathematical competency through learning assistance on logarithms at MAS DDI Baru Baru Tanga. Based on initial observations, students experienced difficulties in understanding the basic concepts of logarithms, especially in relating exponential forms to logarithmic forms and their application in everyday life. To address this, the implementation team provided assistance using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach and the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method. The activity involved 25 grade XI IPA students and was carried out over two weeks. The learning process was carried out interactively through discussions, contextual problem solving, and the use of simple digital learning media. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 55.4 to 81.2 after the assistance activity. In addition, student motivation and participation in learning also increased as seen from their activeness throughout the process. This activity succeeded in fostering better conceptual understanding and a positive attitude towards mathematics. This kind of assistance is expected to be implemented sustainably and expanded to other mathematics materials to improve the quality of learning in schools

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi matematika siswa melalui pendampingan pembelajaran pada materi logaritma di MAS DDI Baru Baru Tanga. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dasar logaritma, terutama dalam mengaitkan bentuk eksponen dengan bentuk logaritmik serta penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, tim pelaksana melakukan pendampingan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan metode Problem Based Learning (PBL). Kegiatan melibatkan 25 siswa kelas XI IPA yang dilaksanakan selama dua minggu. Proses pembelajaran dilakukan secara interaktif melalui diskusi, pemecahan masalah kontekstual, dan penggunaan media pembelajaran digital sederhana. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa, dengan rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 55,4 menjadi 81,2 setelah kegiatan pendampingan. Selain itu, motivasi dan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran juga mengalami peningkatan yang terlihat dari keaktifan mereka selama proses berlangsung. Kegiatan ini berhasil menumbuhkan pemahaman konseptual yang lebih baik serta sikap positif terhadap matematika. Pendampingan semacam ini diharapkan dapat diterapkan secara berkelanjutan dan diperluas ke materi matematika lainnya untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan di UPTD SDN 128 Barru dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika melalui inovasi media edukatif DOMIKA (Domino Matematika). Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari permasalahan guru yang masih cenderung menggunakan metode konvensional berbasis ceramah dan minim media pembelajaran inovatif, sehingga siswa kurang termotivasi serta mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami operasi hitung dasar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi observasi awal, pelatihan penyampaian materi, pendampingan, serta praktik langsung penggunaan media kartu DOMIKA dalam pembelajaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam merancang dan menggunakan media pembelajaran, serta peningkatan motivasi dan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Selain itu, luaran kegiatan berupa seperangkat kartu DOMIKA dan buku panduan telah dihasilkan dan dapat dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, program PKM ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar dan dapat menjadi model pengembangan inovasi pembelajaran di sekolah lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Kampus V Parepare melalui penerapan model Discovery Learning. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya aktivitas belajar mahasiswa yang berdampak pada kurang optimalnya hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD Kampus V Parepare yang mengikuti mata kuliah matematika dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi untuk mengukur aktivitas belajar mahasiswa dan tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa dari siklus I ke siklus II, di mana persentase keaktifan mahasiswa meningkat dari 65% menjadi 85% dengan kategori aktif menjadi sangat aktif. Selain itu, hasil belajar mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata yang meningkat dari 68 pada siklus I menjadi 82 pada siklus II, serta persentase ketuntasan belajar yang meningkat dari 60% menjadi 90%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa PGSD Kampus V Parepare. Model ini direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, inovatif, dan bermakna.

Abstract

Although studies that specifically examine the development of early childhood critical thinking skills through context-based mathematics learning remain limited, this ability plays an important role in supporting cognitive development and learning readiness at the next level. This study aims to test and analyze the effect of implementing contextual mathematics learning on early childhood critical thinking skills. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, involving 20 children in Group B at TK IGTKI-PGRI Harapan Bangsa Bonto Perak, Pangkep Regency, who were selected through a purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted from January to March 2026. Data were obtained through observation, critical thinking skills assessment sheets, and documentation of learning activities, and were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s critical thinking skills after the implementation of contextual mathematics learning, with the mean score increasing from 55.30 at the initial stage to 82.15 at the final stage. The statistical test results showed a calculated t value of 9.27 with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which was lower than 0.05, indicating that the treatment given had a significant effect. These findings confirm that learning that connects material with children’s real-life experiences is effective in encouraging the development of higher-order thinking skills. Thus, this study contributes to enriching the literature on context-based mathematics learning in early childhood education and provides practical implications for educators to design learning that is relevant to children’s everyday experiences.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need to preserve local cultural values within modern educational settings, particularly the Bugis–Makassar values of siri’ (self-worth), pesse (empathy), sipakatau (humanizing one another), and sipakainge’ (mutual reminder). These values are considered essential for strengthening students’ character and fostering harmonious social interaction in schools. This research aims to analyze how Bugis–Makassar cultural values are integrated into the learning process at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Darud Da'wah Wal-Irsyad (MAS-DDI) Baru-Baru Tanga Pangkep. A qualitative approach was employed with participants including the principal, Islamic Education teachers, Guidance and Counseling teachers, Islamic Cultural History teachers, and students from grades XI and XII. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, and validated using data triangulation. The findings reveal that cultural values are integrated into both formal and non-formal learning through contextual, collaborative, and reflective strategies. These practices contribute to character development, enhanced learning motivation, and the strengthening of students’ cultural identity.

Abstract

This community service project aims to enhance the literacy competence of students at Madrasah Aliyah Swasta (MAS) DDI Baru-Baru Tanga through a collaborative approach integrating Mathematics and English subjects. The background of this program lies in the low level of students’ numeracy and foreign language literacy, which affects their analytical reasoning and scientific communication skills. The activity involved collaborative workshops for teachers, the development of bilingual contextual learning modules, and the implementation of project-based integrated lessons. The program was conducted over two months, engaging 60 eleventh-grade students and four subject teachers. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ ability to read and interpret mathematical texts in English, analyze data, and present problem-solving results in an organized and communicative manner. Furthermore, students demonstrated a more positive attitude toward interactive and cross-disciplinary learning. This collaboration not only strengthened students’ literacy competence but also improved teachers’ pedagogical skills in implementing interdisciplinary learning models. The outcomes of this program highlight the importance of integrating subject collaboration as a strategic effort to promote literacy and foster a culture of innovation within Islamic educational institutions.
