Abstract

Health is a long-term investment that is indispensable in supporting the success of Indonesian development. WHO has committed to developing a health system that can ensure everyone gets the health services they need without worrying about being constrained by costs, this health is known as Universal Health Coverage. One of the obligations of JKN participants was to pay monthly fees, Ability to pay and Willingness to pay greatly affected people's interest in paying monthly fees. As many as 83% of Indonesia's population had become participants of JKN, but the high number of JKN participants was not accompanied by the active participation of the participants in paying monthly fees. The number of visits to the Koni Primary Health Care had decreased over the past 3 years and based on the initial survey it was found that many JKN-KIS participants were in arrears to pay monthly fees. The purpose of this study was to determine the determinants of the willingness to pay dues (WTP) for independent JKN participants at the Koni Primary Health Care in Jambi City. This research was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 105 participants. The results showed that the variables associated with the willingness to pay contributions (WTP) were education level (p = 0.009), income level (p = 0.023) and ability to pay (ATP) (p = 0.038). Meanwhile, the unrelated variables were age (p = 0.110 and p = 1,000) and gender (p = 0.550). There was a relationship between education level and WTP. There was a relationship between the level of income and the willingness to pay, and there was a relationship between the ability to pay (ATP) and the willingness to pay for independent JKN participants. There was no relationship between age and willingness to pay, and there was no relationship between gender and willingness to pay independent JKN contributions.

One of the learning models that can actively involve students and increase student creativity is Problem Based Learning (PBL). The purpose of this study was to identify differences in students' creativity and thinking skills between the application of case-based learning and conventional learning in the vector control and rodent courses. This research was conducted at the Department of Public Health, University of Jambi in the fifth semester students with an interest in environmental health with a total of 37 students. The research design was in the form of a quasi-experimental class involving the experimental class and the control class. The instrument used is a test sheet with indicators to measure thinking ability and creativity, a communication skill test sheet, and an assessment report sheet. Data were collected twice through pre-test and post-test. Processing and data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test. The results showed that most of the students were still less active during lectures using the conventional / lecture method, as many as 15 people (40.5%). Students only pay attention, remain silent and there are no questions or comments related to the lecture material presented. The results of the statistical test showed that the p.value was 0.000, the p-value < α (0.05), which means that there is a difference in student learning outcomes using the conventional / lecture method using the PBL method. This means that there is an effect of giving the PBL learning method on the thinking ability (learning outcomes) of fifth-semester students with an interest in environmental health, majoring in public health sciences, FKIK Jambi University in vector control and rodent courses. Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension in Jambi City has always increased in the last 5 years, including in the working area of the Talang Bakung Health Center. On the other hand, the costs of treating and treating hypertension that must be borne by the community are relatively high, especially if complications occur and are not covered by insurance, so there is a risk of catastrophic expenses that trigger the fragility of the household economy due to illness. The purpose of the service activity is to provide education and outreach about hypertension and its impact on health costs. The activity was attended by 30 participants with hypertension in the Talang Bakung Health Center area. The core activities include providing education about hypertension and its impact on health costs, socializing catastrophic hazards and socializing various supporting programs from the Government. The results of the activity showed that 80% of the participants experienced a significant increase in knowledge and there was a difference in the participants' knowledge between before and after the PPM activity (p=0.000). It is recommended to the Government and Puskesmas to increase campaign efforts to mobilize the community to adopt a healthy and proactive lifestyle in various health programs that support saving health costs so as to avoid catastrophic expenses.

Abstract

Indonesia has main problems, namely basic education, the economy, and the environment based on the Global Competitive Index, which ranks 45 out of 140. The low level of eco-literacy is a serious problem that is of concern to the world for Indonesia. This is proven by Indonesia's crowning as the second country that contributes the most waste, especially plastic waste. Based on a national scope (assuming a population of 180 million people, the waste production rate for each person is two liters per day with a composition of 6.17%), the amount of waste accumulated in Indonesia annually reaches 1,599,000 tons. SDN 211/IV Jambi City already has rubbish bins that are differentiated based on the type of waste, namely organic and inorganic, however, the rubbish thrown into the rubbish bin is not grouped by type. Likewise, waste processing has not been managed properly, which has the potential to become a nest for disease-transmitting vectors due to the accumulation of waste behind schools. Ecoliteracy and one way of processing plastic waste is by eco-bricks. The solution offered is socialization and counseling about eco-literacy or increasing pro-environmental behavior as a basis that must be understood from an early age, especially the waste reduction paradigm, and providing technical guidance for making eco-bricks. The results were that students at SDN 211/IV Jambi City understood the importance of managing waste into eco-bricks and how to make them. Hopefully, this activity will continue in the future, and students can become cadres initiating plastic waste management in elementary schools in Jambi City.

Abstract

Pregnancy is the period from the time the egg is fertilized until the baby is born, which usually lasts for about 280 days or nine months. Many pregnancies go well, but there are also some that may face serious problems or complications. One that can affect the occurrence of complications during pregnancy is preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is a potentially life-threatening pregnancy complication for the mother and baby. This condition is clinically characterized by the onset of gestational hypertension (high blood pressure) and proteinuria (the presence of protein in the urine) that occurs after 20 weeks of gestation. Empowerment of the nutritional status of pregnant women is believed to reduce the risk of preeclampsia. This study aims to analyze the effect of empowerment of nutritional status on the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women in the third trimester through a literature review. The method used is a literature review by reviewing five recent journals from sources obtained through Google Scholar, which discuss the relationship between nutritional status and preeclampsia. The results of the analysis show that increasing knowledge and empowerment through education and nutritional interventions have a positive effect on reducing the risk of preeclampsia. Several journals show a relationship between poor nutritional status and the incidence of preeclampsia, while other factors such as hypertension and an unbalanced diet also influence the risk. The recommendation from this study is the need for a holistic approach involving education, supplementation, and social support to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women, so that it can reduce the rate of preeclampsia and improve maternal and infant health.
