Abstract

Everyone has the right to study and memorize the Qur'an, including children with autism spectrum disorders. Despite having difficulty communicating, autistic children can to memorize the Quran by applying various methods, such as Mauro. The Mauro method is a combination of the method of memorizing the Qur'an by listening, seeing, and repeating. The purpose of this study is to see impact of the application of the Mauro method in helping the process of memorizing the Qur'an for children with autism spectrum disorders, especially in short surahs. The type of research used is an experiment in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B-A design. The study was conducted in 14 meetings with 3 subjects. The results of the data analysis proved that the ability to read short surahs in autistic children increased because of the intervention given, namely the Mauro method. The continuous application of the Mauro method can assist in the process of memorizing short surahs for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan dilatar belakangi ditemukannya tiga orang anak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan. Kesalahan yang dialami anak seperti sering mengurangkan huruf, menambah huruf, menambah kata serta menambah kata. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan anak disleksia melalui metode SAS di SDN 10 Rimbo Tangah. Jenis penelitian ini eksperimen dalam bentuk subjek tunggal (Single Subject Research) , dengan desain penelitian A-B yaitu Multiple Baseline Across Subject Design Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang anak disleksia, dengan kemampuan membaca permulaan (membaca kata benda) yang masih rendah. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yaitu melalui instrumen tes kemampuan membaca yang diamati secara langsung oleh peneliti. Hasil analisis data dari kondisi Fase A dan Fase B secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa melalui metode SAS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak disleksia di Kelas II SDN 10 Rimbo Tangah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the issues identified in the field concerning deaf students who face difficulties in obtaining auditory information. This challenge arises due to the communication format during the learning process that predominantly utilizes oral language. Therefore, the researcher developed Vibrating Headphones with the aim of facilitating deaf individuals in acquiring one-way communication through text. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination). The prototype developed was validated by four experts, including experts in deaf disabilities, electrical engineering, adaptive technology, and IT. Additionally, user testing was conducted to assess the practicality of the prototype among four deaf students in the Special Education Department at UNP. The validation results by the four experts yielded an average score of 88.75%, indicating a very valid criterion. Meanwhile, the practicality test results by the four deaf individuals produced an average score of 76.75%, meeting practical criteria. Based on these validation and practicality tests, valuable feedback and comments were received from both experts and users.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the ability to add numbers 1-10 for cerebral palsy children at SD IT Permata Kita Padang by used Counting Box Learning media. Learning Media Counting Box serves as a learning prop that can be seen and makes it easier for students to count. This research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods, namely Single Subject Research (SSR) and A1-B-A2 Design, and the data is analyzed using visual graphs by entering data in graphs which are then analyzed based on conditions A1-B-A2 The results of research used Counting Box Learning media can improve the ability to add numbers 1-10 for cerebral palsy children at SD IT Permata Kita Padang.

Abstract

Kajian ilmiah ini didasari oleh kemampuan anak dengan gangguan sprektum autis yang masih rendah dalam mengenal nilai mata uang, khususnya pada pembeajaran matematika di SLB Autisma Permata Bunda Bukittinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan anak dengan gangguan spektrum autis dalam mengenali nilai mata uang melalui penggunaan media video interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam satu siklus, meliputi tahapan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah dua peserta didik kelas IV dengan gangguan sprektum autis. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan teknik observasi, pemberian tes serta wawancara yang kemudian diolah secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif menggunakan persentase. Berdasarkan temuan yang diperoleh, penggunaan media video interaktif mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal nilai mata uang pada peserta didik, dimana peserta didik FH mengalami peningkatan dari 43% menjadi 100%, sedangkan KZ meningkat dari 29% menjadi 86%, hal ini menunjukkan video intefaktif ini dinilai efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di SLB. Temuan ini dapat diartikan bahwa video interaktif berperan optimal dalam meningkatkan pemahaman, fokus dan motivasi belajar anak dengan gangguan sprektum autis terhadap konsep nilai mata uang. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa media ini bisa dimanfaatkan guru sebagai media yang relavan dengan karakteristik visual dan auditori anak dengan gangguan sprektum autis, serta dapat diterapkan pada materi konkret lainnya dalam pembelajaran matematika di SLB.

Abstract

This article discusses efforts to improve letter recognition skills using the Assemblr Edu medium for slow learner students. Slow learners often face obstacles in recognizing letters due to limitations in memory, thinking speed, and difficulties in processing learning materials. These conditions affect students’ reading and writing abilities. Based on assessments conducted at SDN 10 Sungai Sapih, it was found that the letter recognition ability of slow learner students was still low, particularly in distinguishing and naming alphabet letters. Therefore, this study aims to improve letter recognition skills among slow learner students through the use of Assemblr Edu, an interactive learning medium based on augmented reality technology that is engaging and easy to use. This research employed a quantitative approach using the Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental method with an A–B design. The research subject was a fourth-grade slow learner student at SDN 10 Sungai Sapih. Phase A (baseline) was used to measure the student’s initial ability to recognize letters before the intervention, while Phase B (intervention) involved learning activities using Assemblr Edu. Data were collected through oral and performance tests and analyzed using visual graphic analysis techniques to observe changes in ability from Phase A to Phase B. The results showed an improvement in students’ ability to recognize letters after the intervention using Assemblr Edu. Students became more capable of identifying the shape and sound of letters, showed better focus, and demonstrated greater enthusiasm in learning. Thus, it can be concluded that Assemblr Edu is effective in improving letter recognition skills among slow learner students, as it provides concrete, engaging, and interactive learning experiences suited to their learning characteristics.
