Abstract

Reading ability is one of the important things that support student success at school. Slow learner students are individuals who experience barriers to learning. This study aims to describe remedial teaching-based tutoring services to help slow learner students in reading. This research uses a case study method with a sample of 1 student named F, a slow learner student in Junior High School (SMP), who has conducted a psychological examination with the results of IQ = 85, which is a category below average. Data analysis uses qualitative through the provision of remedial teaching-based tutoring services, students who experience slow learners usually have difficulty recognizing word structures and interpreting them. Remedial teaching-based tutoring services are remedial learning presented to slow learner students. Remedial teaching-based tutoring services are expected to be able to improve reading skills for slow learner students. Based on the results of the research, the provision of remedial teaching-based tutoring services for slow learner students and using observation questionnaires for the development of children's reading skills, shows that there is an increase in reading skills which is reflected in increased understanding, and the ability to read text. So from the results obtained, it can be concluded that remedial teaching-based tutoring services show an increase in reading skills in slow learner students

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using audio visual learning media on student learning outcomes at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta. the researcher used a type of quantitative research, with a correlation approach to determine the relationship between variable X and variable Y. Data collection technique used a questionnaire from 26 respondents. Sampling using saturated samples, Data analysis techniques using simple regression tests and determination coefficients. The hypothesis test uses the t-calculation formula. The results of the study showed that: (1) The used of audio visual learning media in class VII PK A SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta was included in the criteria with an average of 15. (2) The learning outcomes of the worship subject of class VII PK A SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta were included in the criteria with an average of 78; (3) Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the audio visual learning media showed a value of Sig. (0.054) > 0.05, then H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected, which means that the variable X (Audio Visual Learning Media) had no effect on the variable Y (Learning Outcomes of Grade VII PK A Junior High School Muhammadiyah 2 Surakarta).

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using Chromebooks in supporting digital learning for the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at SMP Baitul Qur’an Cendekia. The research focuses on five key aspects: students’ habits and readiness in using Chromebooks, their perceptions of ease and understanding of PAI materials, the level of creativity and engagement in digital-based learning, technical challenges encountered, and the relevance of Chromebook integration with the goals of Islamic education in the digital era. This study employed a quantitative approach using survey and literature study methods. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 17 students and in-depth interviews with a PAI teacher. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of Chromebook usage effectiveness in the learning process. The findings show that most students feel accustomed to and comfortable using Chromebooks in PAI learning. The device is perceived to facilitate understanding of the material, increase learning motivation, and enhance student creativity in completing project-based assignments such as Islamic videos and digital content design. However, technical issues and limitations in conveying spiritual values through digital media were also identified.

Abstract

Education is not only oriented towards mastering academic material, but also aims to shape students' character, one of which is through discipline and active involvement in school activities. This article aims to explain the importance of student administration management strategies in improving student discipline and involvement. Student administration is an integral part of educational management that includes various activities such as student data management, guidance and counseling, extracurricular activities, and monitoring student behavior. This study uses a literature review approach by analyzing various book references and scientific articles. The results of the discussion show that organized student administration is able to create an orderly, conducive school climate that supports the learning process. The strategies implemented include the implementation of a digital-based data management system, strict supervision of student attendance and behavior, and student involvement in school organizations such as OSIS. This strategy has proven effective in fostering disciplined character and increasing student involvement, which ultimately has a positive impact on academic and non-academic achievement. Therefore, good student administration management is the key to realizing holistic and character-based education.

Abstract

Religious moderation is a strategic program initiated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of tolerance, fairness, and respect for diversity in religious life. In the educational context, PAI teachers play a central role in transmitting these values through the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies. The findings reveal that collaborative supervision at State Junior High School 2 Mojolaban is carried out through joint planning, classroom supervision, and post-teaching reflection. PAI teachers are encouraged to incorporate values of moderation, such as interfaith tolerance, rejection of extremism, and appreciation for cultural and religious diversity. Challenges encountered include limited supervision time and insufficient understanding of religious moderation concepts among some teachers. Nevertheless, collaborative supervision has proven effective in enhancing teachers’ pedagogical awareness and their ability to contextually integrate religious moderation values into the teaching and learning process. This study recommends increased training and ongoing support for PAI teachers to foster a culture of moderate and inclusive education.

Abstract

The 21st century presents many challenges. Including the world of education, which requires flexible, skilled, and technology-aware human resources. The government, schools, and society form the pillars of HR to answer these problems. The principal, as the smallest community, is responsible for student development in accordance with modern learning requirements. School-based management is a management method based on student involvement. Thus, supporting resources are very important because each educational institution has control over human resources, finances, and the environment. SD IT Darul Hikmah has the ability to adapt to modern school-based management. Having a strategy to manage the institution so that it becomes a reference elementary school for new students and a religious-based literacy school is part of the institution's resources. How does SD IT Darul Hikmah deal with the challenges of human resource development in this century? By using a literacy approach and interviews conducted directly with the principal and teachers as sources, a qualitative descriptive method is used in this paper. The data collected shows that the resources owned by the principal have the ability to act as a leader in the management of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

for management transformation in Indonesian elementary schools. Utilizing a library research method and content analysis, this study reviews literature on the digitalization of basic education management, technology adoption in schools, and the application of Google for Education. The findings indicate that using Google platforms not only enhances learning effectiveness but also accelerates administrative processes, improves data transparency, and strengthens stakeholder collaboration. This digital transformation increased management efficiency by 30–40%. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy among teachers, uneven infrastructure, and resistance to organizational cultural change were identified. Successful adoption strategies include the development of a digitalization roadmap, continuous training, provision of supporting facilities, parental involvement, and the formation of internal innovation teams. The study contributes theoretically to the development of technology-based education management discourse and provides practical recommendations to accelerate the sustainable digitalization of elementary schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

The quality of education is highly dependent on the presence and professionalism of teachers and educational staff. This article aims to analyze the role of personnel administration in enhancing the professionalism of educators and educational personnel through a literature review approach. In the context of human resource management within education, personnel administration plays a strategic role that includes planning, recruitment, training, career development, and performance evaluation. The effective implementation of personnel administration can create a supportive work environment, boost motivation and employee performance, and contribute to the achievement of educational goals. The professionalism of teachers and educational staff is defined as the ability to meet the standards of pedagogical, professional, personal, and social competencies as regulated by existing legislation. Moreover, the relationship between personnel administration and human resource development is a crucial factor in improving the competitiveness of educators through continuous training and structured career management. This article also recommends that educational institutions optimize the function of personnel administration as a strategic tool for producing professional and high-quality educators.

Abstract

Following the enactment of Ministerial Regulation (PMA) Number 32 of 2020, Ma’had Aly faces a dilemma between maintaining its academic independence and adapting to institutional standards set by the government. In this context, two Ma’had Aly institutions located in Jombang — Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng and Ma’had Aly Tarbiyatunnasyi’in Pacul Gowang — have shown different responses to the policy. Hasyim Asy’ari emphasizes a systematic academic management in the field of hadith, while Tarbiyatunnasyi’in adopts a cultural and spiritual approach in the cultivation of tasawwuf. As an Islamic higher education institution rooted in the pesantren tradition, Ma’had Aly serves to preserve the continuity of classical Islamic scholarly traditions through the study of turath (classical texts). Unlike conventional Islamic boarding schools, Ma’had Aly has a more structured educational system, complete with academic levels, tracks, and specific fields of specialization. This study aims to examine how Ma’had Aly responds to the demands of formal regulations and the challenges of globalization in the education sector, without losing its identity as an institution devoted to tafaqquh fi al-din (deep understanding of religion).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine application of the Pancasila Student Profile through extracurricular activities of Hizbul Wahan at Muhammadiyah 1 Senior High School, Ponorogo. The Pancasila student profile acts as the main reference that directs educational policies including being a reference for educators in building the character and competence of students. The Pancasila student profile must be understood by all stakeholders because it is considered important. Muhammadiyah 1 Senior High School, Ponorogo is one of the private schools that has implemented the Independent Curriculum, one of which is the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) dimension. Hizbul Wathan is one of the scouts in Indonesia that is related to outdoor learning activities. The research method used is qualitative research with a field approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that 1) Muhammadiyah Senior High School 1 Ponorogo has implemented part of the Independent Curriculum, namely the Pancasila Student Profile (P3), one of which is through the Hizbul Wathan extracurricular, 2) The dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) that have been applied in extracurricular activities are faith, devotion to God Almighty; independent; mutual cooperation; and creative. This study concludes that the Hizbul Wathan extracurricular activity is an effective forum for implementing the Pancasila Student Profile at Muhammadiyah Senior High School 1 Ponorogo.
